Finally, the long wait for Hidden Gems 8 is over! Thank you to everyone who requested this video and was asking where I've been. I stopped thinking about videos altogether for a minute there, but I've come back with a more healthy video-making outlook and a recurring addiction to Hunt: Showdown! I really hate having to patch incompatible or under-integrated mods, mostly because finding patches can be hard, and the quality of them is sometimes lacking, so if my Thieves Guild Radiant overhaul could be done in a way that did not require patching, I was determined to find a way. I had to bend-over-backwards again and again to make Thieves' Night on the Town compatible with stuff, not to mention reverse-engineer the vanilla system. I'm very glad that effort is appreciated. Thanks for the shout-out! There's an expansion for it in the works too, picking up from the work I did for Echoes of Barenziah...

I recently bought the pc version of Skyrim SE/AE. I had only played on the xbox before and many years ago. So as it's the pc version I obviously started looking at the mods and here I am. Fresh faced and blown away at the sheer number of mods available. Thank you for highlighting some nice mods that I would never had seen. So yay for Frostbite Spider ;)

I'd forgotten that I'd subscribed! Thanks for this video; this series is entertaining and useful for my modding endeavours. It'd be cool to see any mods that add variants to enemies that don't get much love - frostbite spiders and the like.

"Revenge of the Enemies" might be worth looking into, as it gives enemies more abilities. For example, you can come across cursed spiders with magic attacks. Or if you want cosmetic changes, "Immersive Creatures" offers that. There's supposedly a patch that makes the two mods work together, but I've never been able to get it to work.

Clever. Here are my top 3 picks for that kind of thing: Skyrim Immersive Creatures, Hunt of Hircine Cut - OIF, and Monster Mash. Each adds new creatures, but SIC and MM add some variants of creatures like Liches as a variant of Dragon Priests, Bone Spiders as a Frostbite Spider variant, etc.

Thanks! DWD is a great mod. I'm not aware of any mods that expand the concept of being a merchant other than the popular ones when you search "merchant" on the Nexus (though I haven't tried any if them out). But I do have a few recommendations: 'Economy Overhaul and Speechcraft Improvements' (Lite Version) and 'Trade and Barter' to help decrease the massive intake of gold that vanilla throws your way, 'Scarcity' and/or 'Contraband' to de-incentivize looting and incentivize trading instead, and 'Bandolier - Bags and Pouches' to carry more merchant stock. There's 'Windstad Mine' which allows you to own a mining operation if you wanted to do that kind of thing. You could install 'Google's Locked City Gates' and 'Campfire' or 'Basic Camp Gear' to roleplay a traveling merchant who sets up camp outside of cities like the Khajiit Caravans (play a Khajiit character and you can travel with them if you want, that'd be neat).

Not that I've seen. The only thing even remotely similar to that is Honed Metal which allows you to request (through menus) a blacksmith to make/upgrade a weapon/armor piece for you. Really good mod honestly.
