Sons of Valhalla - Looks so satisfying side-scrolling and slashing your way through ranks of enemies as if wading through mud up to your knees to progress forwards but with a bit more combat focus! From Glory To Goo - Like the lo-fi graphics of this endless waves survival rts game. Just has the right amount of visual info but not too much so you can just zoom out and think about decisions for the bigger picture at hand. Manor Lords - Could be one of the games of the year tbh: Just has potential for so much solid replayable enjoyable gameplay as a strategy real-time base-building and army formation game with economic/management and weather sim. Fingers-x it's the perfect blend of formulas and leads to many hours of gameplay and many more players.
#1 is reminding me of this game called Star of Providence, formerly called Monolith. It had to change its name cause of legal issues with Monolith Studios.
Minishoot is really interesting, allways on lookout for bullethell mechanics outside of SMUP autoscrolling genre. Started playing game called "Krimson" on a whim today, had a blast. It's kinda musical trippy precision platformer where whole level moves with music in different ways, game goes very hard.
No Rest for the Wicked is an ARPG but is also a soulslike. That’s the innovation. You drop your “souls” on death and you roll and all with an isometric coat of paint. Asmongold played the demo and the soulslike aspect made me want to possibly try it. Im not really into arpg like Diablo but I may try this hybrid at least.
crazy Metroidvania month Sheba: New Dawn Full release of Biomorph Biogun (Also, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU. It's done by a small team under EA Originals, but Moon Studio is publishing with 2K's Private Division, so I think it's fair to count it) My most anticipated indie game would be Ereban: Shadow Legacy, though.
There are quite a few good april releases that should be in this list: Harold halibut 16april Biogun 16april Children of the sun 9april Phantom fury 23april Turbo kid 10april Yet another fantasy title 10april Maybe you should make another top 10 list for april😂😂
Been waiting for Eiyuden Chronicle for the longest time. Number 3 looks nice but number 1 is definitely to keep your eyes on. Just play the demo, people.
I did everything you could possibly do and got every possible upgrade I could in the minishoot demo. I cannot wait for the full experience. Day 1 purchase for me
Hi Clemmy, thanks for this upload. I was wondering why not make a video from times to times about the most wishlisted games on Steam ? Even though it can be access directly but you (re-)talking about them would be interesting
There's a bunch of good looking ones here! I always seek out that gritty style. Cartoony games aren't for me. That Manor Lords game is something else. The scale looks correct. The towns look believable for once. Eiyuden, No Rest for the Wicked, Broken Roads, Sons of Valhalla, and even that Glory to Goo game look promising for the style I like.
i love this year for indy games, best year in long time, next year will be good too! letsgo there's 3 bigger titles good this year too, Black Myth Wukong, Enotria Last Song and No Rest for the Wicked, all solid games. Amazing year for gaming!
I have the same question about Europa, Clemmy. I played the demo, and felt like it was really pretty, but had nothing really of interest to do. We'll just have to see how the full release pans out.
F to Murayama 🙏. I did end up pre-ordering Eiyuden a few months ago so ill be sure to look through it as much as i can, just by looking at game play it looks both polished and insane. Though i do assume its going to have a similar problem as suikoden and you prolly wont use 90% of the cast.
STOP EVERYTHING Moonlight Pulse got a release date. And it's this month. That's basically my most anticipated game this year (that I've played a demo of). Speaking of which, more people should try that demo.
