TWO NEW GUITARS?! I recently purchased these with my new endorsement with Schecter and I'm proud to say I love them WAY more for these covers than my old 7 string and bass! I think they sound even better too! Over all I made huge strides with the mix with this one so I hope it's cool with you guys.
Easily among the hardest medleys I've ever attempted. The riffs in this were so far past anything I've ever tried and I didn't even think I'd be able to pull them off originally. Hope you guys enjoy that tremendous time, energy, blood, sweat, tears, passion, boners, love, and labor that went into this huge medley. Also sorry about the hack that happened on Twitch that one stream, that was fucked up.

Red's theme makes the sequel plot twist even better. Imagine this, you beat the whole game only to meet a mysterious final trainer: only to be revealed as yourself from the original game.

It wasn't exactly a plot twist, though. They reference the events of Gen 1 repeatedly throughout the game, like, every time you deal with Team Rocket or any repeat characters. Hell, you have to fight Blue for the Earth Badge WAY before you get to face Red on Mt. Silver.

Red's theme is the pinnacle of boss themes , and boss battles in general. Facing the strongest pokemon trainer , standing on top of a mountain , no conversation... Music plays and you just fight.

I agree that it's a great boss fight in general, but getting jumpscared by Cynthia and her pre-fight theme because you walked into the wrong house is way better.

Pure horror. I had a team of level 60s and a level 80 typhlosion. I was put into shock as a kid seeing my team be wiped by a random trainer atop a mountain where I expected a legendary to be. I was right... but it was not a pokemon.

***** To be fair, the song was used three times: Homestuck, the Halloween hack, and Undertale. That's a pretty wide net to throw, and in context the moment it encapsulates in Undertale specifically is really strong, and the song itself isn't bad. It is frustrating, though; even as a fan of the song and the Undertale games, I think we're overdoing it a bit and cheapening the experience. Hell, what made it so great initially was that it was an unexpected curbstomp and a meta experience, why spoil the magic by revealing the secret?

Man, people talk hella shit about Undertale but god damn that game has some phenomenal songs. Also a fantastic story and innovative combat system and creativity out the wazoo... Damn. When the fuck did I start loving Undertale? I used to also talk hella shit about it, but I think it's just the fanbase that turns people off from it. It's like Death Note, right? The thing itself is actually pretty damn good but the fans can be such cancer it ruins it for everyone else

Nailed it. What I tell people now is to just not tell anyone you're going to play Undertale, and just to go play it by yourself without any expectations other than having a couple of hours of good music and a neat combat system. It's worth the price of admission for a sort of bullet-hell-lite game. If you get more out of it than that, great! Just don't let the rabid fans get to you either way. It's just a quirky little indie game in the end.

The contrast is insane between the undertale boss theme that has the melody of a 2000s ringtone and then changing to the saturos battle theme. I have never played undertale or golden sun, and not to take anything away from toby fox, but you can tell when an actual accomplished componist writes these themes.

Secret of Mana is my favorite game of all time. The boss battle music is great, but I think the Dark Lich theme (The Oracle) is the best music from the game.
