put it this way the best looking shoe is not always the best shoe , try all brands , try the old people brand new balance lol you nite be surprised , how can i say this with out being a hater , as long people buy all the hype shoe that dont fit all that great or feel good on foot , these comapny will never upgragde the shoe that people need to wear .

Salomon Supercross Winter (not on the list) has worked really well for me for staying dry. Getting harder to find though. Similar style to Nike ACH Mountain Fly and Adidas Terrex Free Hiker COLD RDY but a lower price. Zip down top makes them easy on and off. I've stood in puddles for several minutes and had no water soak through. Very comfortable.
I’ve got the late 2021 On Running Cloud Venture waterproof trail running shoes. It’s a bit of a brick running on pavement but the waterproofing works fantastic running in snow and slush and it’s a great shoe to just walk around in. If you buy it in the black color you can wear it with dress clothes.
I agree with ur #1 choice. The new balance gore tex is awesome I have the exact 1 u have wide version 9.5 I use it daily for work at the golf course n I love it 💯
@@normanpang9376 never have worn hierro on trail so can’t compare but never had problem with speedgoat on trail, during rain or snow or crossing the river or whatever
Terrex are amazing, I would mention that the toebox is big. Personally would have sized down 1/2. But I got em online and got a great deal. Otherwise amazing durable shoe!
Hey Hes nice review you had great reviews from the shoes gave your positives and negative’s only thing i have to say is that there’s a huge difference between a waterproof and water resistant sneaker. For example Nike’s only waterproof sneaker will always feature a gore-tex upper. They do sell their nike shield products as well which are marketed as water resistant and will let you know that water will still get in just not as easily as a traditional sneaker or clothing article.
The NB Hierro's are fantastic shoes. Thanks for sharing with everyone. (Now I will never be able to find them ). I have 4 pairs of the Hierros in diffrent colors and they are my go to shoe right now. versatile, comfortable, and grippy, love fresh foam X
I bought Nike Pegasus trail 3 gtx in rugged orange color. Have Wearing them in the rainy season here in South Korea. I love them. One thing go for a half size up if you have wider feet.
Not fan of gortex i prefer waterproof shoes over breathing fabric . If you can suggest goid shoes that would be good and waterproof enough to walk in longer wet grass for 3+ hours
Hey Hes, nice review as always! What do you think about the ZX 8000 Deadhype Gore Tex triple black? Been eyeing that one but I’m not sure how water repellant / resistant it might be… Still on the fence with pulling the trigger on it… but I do like the minimalist look and how it kinda doesn’t look like an athleisure sneaker and may get away with it looking like an everyday leather - suede shoe but I was hoping for something that can take on some water and the cold too…

Got a terrible seam in the heel that’s kinda uncomfortable. Sold mine because of it. The red strap and the yellow on the sole doesn’t do well in reality imo. Would’ve been better triple black.

the new balance fresh foam hierro v6 GTX is the most comfortable shoe i own i wear them more than any other. the only problem is the gore-tex is not well done, my feet still get wet.

I just ordered online the Nike Air Force 1 boot it said on the description its for winter so I assume its water resistant. I haven't seen it personally coz it will be delivered next week. I hope it really is water resistant since I bought it just for the rainy season here in the Philippines and they are not cheap so I hope its worth the money.

I live in Scotland, it's always raining. Best waterproof you can get Nike air zoom turbo shield. Now discontinued, still have pair black n pair haberno red. Based around the now discontinued pegasus turbo 2
The vans are good I bought them for my kids and a pair for myself I used them for work after a year of wearing them everyday they finally lost their water resistance
I go hiking every year and waterproof shoes become buckets keeping my feet wet. Theoretically good but in reality, bad idea. What turns out best are synthetic breathable running shoes that to not absorb water. They will shed water and dry out in an hour. Canvas or cotton absorbs water and will take days to dry.
Iv had the hierro for about 3 months and have noticed tiny holes in the toe cap which lets small amount of water into the shoe. Otherwise its a great shoe super comfy had to change out the laces after walking through mud with them every other day
The toe caps are basically torn through after couple of months. And I've been using them mostly in a city, on paved roads, not in heavy trails. The second weak points are collars around the inner ankles. They have holes as well Rest of the shoe is keeping up nicely
