I’m pretty sure deep down inside, their lyrics are the most complex and philosophical ever written, but our simple mind can’t understand their high intellect level.
I believe they’re meant to be metaphorical and allegorical because if I remember correctly, most of their songs tend to criticize the government. Mostly on a lowkey scale
I honestly don't know all of them, but I almost know for sure that #4 which is from the song (Needles) when he says pull the tapeworm out of your ass, he is talking about the government, as he earlier says (my tapeworm tells me what to do, my tapeworm tells me where to go)
@@MrBadassheavymetal It's about drug addiction (Even the tilte implies that) and how it completely takes you over. So pulling it out of your ass means to take action and stop it immediately
Domino's: hello, what can I get for you today? Serj: pepeŕoni and gŕeen peppeŕs mushrooms olives chives! Domino's: pepeŕoniandgŕeenpeppeŕsmushroomsoliveschives?!
I also have a few questions about the logic of the day and I will be there by Rachmaninoff created a new account and I will be there by the time I get home
@@ishovedthetoothbrushinmyas8782 the same thing I have to do you have a pic of the schedule for the next few days and I have a few questions about the venom the same thing I have to do to get the money to you and your family a very happy and prosperous New year to you and your family have to be there are any changes in a bit to the store for lunch or something in mind the next couple weeks I think it was just studying in my car.
SOAD lyrics tend to summarize what goes through my mind about 20% of the time. Not literally the lyrics, but rather the level of strange of which the thoughts are that enter my head.
Its a popular catchphrase by Chick Hearn (the Chick N' Stu being a reference to him and Stu Lantz, as well as a pun), when the Lakers were pretty much guaranteed the win.
Not the best but good for sure. To bad he can be a dick quite quick and back in the days he got really full of himself after theire breakthrough. But I enjoy listening to him tho.
Fun fact: the opening lines of every SOAD albums mashed up sound like a legit SOAD song. You don't believe me? Check it out yourself: I've had an out of body-experience They're trying to build a prison The ballgame's in the refidgerator Why do they always send the poor? Breathing each other's life It doesn't even have to rhyme to be 100% pure System Of A Down.
I found this about that song (It's very long) "I visit forums for lyrics now and then and some of the interpretations of this song are really bad. You think System of a Down would waste their time singing about whores who got their feet stepped on in an orgy? WOW. K here it goes. This song is talking about how small the "Vicinity of Obscenity" is. They even speak through the guitars on this one. The men of this country are designed since birth to have certain views on women. Wether its finding a dirty mag on the playground as a kid, or Paris Hilton trying to sell you a sex-burger during a teletubbies commercial. No matter where you look, obscenity is "IN YOUR EYE." It's unavoidable and in your face, just like the guitar and vocal styles when they scream "banana banana terra cotta.... etc." The food references are symbolizing genitals. (Banana = dick, pie = pussy) Basically, it's right there, hard core, in your face, no matter where you look. Turn on the radio, and you're forced to listen to the ignorance and sexual deviancy of our nation. Flip on the television and you've got a pro-whore washing a car for a fucking CARL'S JR AD! It makes me wanna scream my damn self. "Is there a proper way of holding you, baby?" = Who knows, we are only taught to view women as objects. Which, is another variable in the "Matrix" known as American Society. "Do we learn [self] defeat from whores?" Yes... we do. Does that require lovin' you, baby? Their track "Violent Pornography" is the sister to this song. It's just more in depth, and attacks television as a main source of distributing this bullshit. Violent pornography is a new trend, especially in Internet porn. There are multiple web sites dedicated to it, and if you actually watch this material you can see how misguided, drugged-up, lied to, and manipulated the "actresses" really are. I know a guy who will watch MTV and holler at women while his 8 year-old is in the room. It delivers the same affect to the opposite gender; a false view of women. Guess what guys, girls don't worship your cock, or any cock. But that is what you see in porn, it's all a system. It's all variables in a matrix. Propaganda to Mesmerize, lies to hypnotize ...it's been going on since the dawn of time... The people who run this country TODAY, are the same people who ran it 200 years ago, the same people who ran Egypt 4000 years ago. Every day they get closer to pulling the wool over your eyes and mine. "It's a non-stop disco." Organized religion [Christianity is not a religion], our food supply, the force feeding of entertainment (in a restaurant - play music, in an office - feed em' magazines, in your house blare the TV, fill the mailbox with crap; fill your mind with crap), it's all intended to prevent you from having a relationship with God, and knowing the truth; that your life has a purpose above obtaining material goods. That there is a force out there with the intention of controlling your mind. Making you into a brick that helps support a very big wall for them to sit upon. Go back and watch "The Matrix", try to soak in what the writers are actually trying to say about our world. (Please don't send me emails, no, I don't think machines are growing us.) With the space that is in your backyard, one man can grow enough food to feed 24 people on a steady basis. So why would you work 40 hours at McDonalds to earn a paycheck that barely enables you to feed yourself poisoned food? Identify the serpent, cut off it's head, and "eat em' eat em' eat em' eat em' eat em'." "
I've found myself eating sunflower seeds with friends the first days of quarantine. Obviously not caring about that quarantine and just spending a good time
the art of SOAD is hiding true meaning behind nonsensical lyrics and I adore that plus, it's really funny to just randomly burst out saying "PEPPERONI AND GREEN PEPPERS MUSHROOMS OLIVE CHIVES" during a calm conversation
ZoroarkWarrior It's very metaphorical indeed. For instance, Serj sings "pull the tapeworm out of your ass" after talking about a "parasite" that halts his growth and won't let him be free, telling him what to do and where to go. Coupled with the title "Needles", it becomes a strong case that this is a song about drug addiction and how you should quit it.
My favourites.. Morrissey Paul McCartney John Lennon Thom Yorke Kurt Cobain Ian Curtis Roger Waters MJK There are plenty more but I can’t remember them..
Possibly because once you realize that it's about group sex and the pogo stick is a different kind of stick, the lyrics at least make a tiny bit of sense. Unlike basically anything on this less. Though it is still an odd song
TheVengfulOne256 It’s mocking political leaders and rich people who try to prove how much more macho they are than each other, wasting countless resources and hurting the average citizen in the process.
Elayna Terrell jet pilot is a prime example of that cause it’s about Pearl Harbor and horses was the nickname for kamikaze pilots so like if ya know things or like you said the rest they make sense
For some of these, I could actually find a symbolic meaning behind them (the berries and two ghosts lyric is saying the person he's talking to is poison, the stepson eating the fish sounds to me like he's talking about incest/infidelity, etc) but around the time Vicinity of Obscenity shows up, it's effectively all nonsense to me
Miyaki Manaloto why’d you click on the video in the first place if all you were gonna do was complain about the video? I mean, the title’s right there. That is, if you can read it.
