Hang in there. Onboarding is ruff. I had 2x CBRS antennas during Genesis and only one was getting rewards. We had to return one and that began the whole onboarding process. I was up and down the roof daily. Just do not give up, we have both radios working now and are very happy. I never heard of a ribbon cable, pretty cool.
I set my nova 430 up last week. CPI took 3 days and my rewards are more than the planner stated. Trying to ROI as quickly as possible. You should have tested the antenna by a window before mounting it on your roof. It looks like you have a PoE or cable issue maybe…keep trying. No reward without some risk in life 😊
Unfortunately, this the system only came online the night before my friend arrived to set it up. So I had to do what I had to do. Congratulations to you though. Did your system find the CBRS right away? Or how long did it take?
Once you plug the antenna in it shouldn't take more than 5 min or so to recognize. It needs to get a GPS fix before it comes online - that can take another 10 min or so. It will say 'trying' on the spectrum access part of the dashboard until you submit the photos to CPI and they approve it. In my case I submitted Jan 1 (holiday), they had it approved by Jan 4 and it started to reward me the next day. My first rewards were halved because of a speed test problem (I was getting less than 100Mb down).If your antenna isn't showing up in the radio dashboard, then you really need to switch the cable...you may need to bring it back down off the roof until it shows up - I don't know how they would fix it remotely....and my miner is version 1.30 @@DoItJustinKace
Indoor. Thought I posted a response..apologies if I double post. You probably need to bring your antenna back inside with a shorter Ethernet cable. My miner is version 1.3. Once plugged in, the antenna takes about 5 min to recognize and you will be able to access the Radio Dashboard tab. After that it takes 10 min or so by a window to get a GPS signal. THEN you put it back on the roof and check that it's got a new GPS lock. Once that happens you submit your photos for CPI. I did it on Jan 1 (holiday) and was approved by Jan4. By Jan 5 I started earning MOBILE rewards.@@DoItJustinKace
Your frustration in this video sealed the deal for me for Not getting a 5G unit. Plus, I drove around today in my area to find the existing 5g set ups and they are all 3 to 5 units. Sorry you are going tough this. I'm thinking of just putting in an order for the wifi unit, just need to figure out if indoor or outdoor will be best for my deployment.
Just installed submitted my CPI request yesterday. I had it on a desk for two days due to snow storm in the northeast. it's been 30ish hours maybe. like you, i have an indoor arriving monday and 2 outdoor wifi units arriving at the end of the month hopefully. I almost bought two 430H but decided one for now, then the outdoor wifi in stock email came a day or two later. thankfully I waited so I can get rewards from all angles.

I started this project about the first week of February . Guess what. I am still working on trying to get it onboarded. Now I have to put up the antennas and do that next step,,, I am with you but I spent 3k now and got nothing to show for it,,
I have both the FreedomFi CBRS & Indoor wifi hotspot. I just realized the FreedomFi is earning rewards but no data is being offloaded to it at the moment. We're basically getting paid for providing a Network that the current Helium Mobile users aren't leveraging yet. Wifi indoor and outdoor hotspots do offload data but atm unfortunately, not the FreedomFi CBRS
Justin, your name is so cool. My son's name is also Justin. Anyway Justin, I just read somewhere (not on Helium's website) that you have to already have wifi to use the hotspots, like you have to plug the hotspot into your existing home wifi. Is that correct?
Well, this video isn’t about the Wi-Fi hotspots. But Wi-Fi hotspots like 5G have to be connected via ethernet. So whatever ethernet connections you have, yes, use those. Even if they’re on your existing home Wi-Fi.
lol, I'm in the same boat as you, I missed the mobile gen drop but I've had the original gateway that they shipped in may 22 but it never shipped with the outdoor cell. I was board during the holidays and ordered the outdoor CBRS 430H like you and I am also currently stuck with cpi approval but my system didn't update so no mobile rewards, yet, sent them a ticket. I do have 2 in door wifi spot set up, one is earning 550 mobile a day and the other is at 137 mobile for some reason they are right next to each other(roi in , 155 and 625 days). I also ordered the $600 outdoor wifi hotspot that should ship next month. But yes I agree, the CBRS is not currently a good investment, even the indoor ones don't look too hot either.
Thanks for telling me your story. Did your hotspot update to 1.9? I can’t even get CPI approval because I’m not up to 1.9. At least I assume that’s the reason. So if you can verify that for me, I’d really appreciate it.
Yes, I got the email said " Congratulations, your radio has been CPI approved and is now eligible for SAS authorization. Please note Authorization may take up to 24 hrs depending on your installation location" 3 days ago.
I relate to you quite a bit on this man. I submitted my updated pictures on Friday, and I'm hoping they can get around to approving my hotspot soon. They must have an absurd amount of radios to sort through ,or so it seems.
When they were doing the initial genesis. They didn’t really check the pictures or anything so they were approved right away and now they’re actually checking each one so it takes a little longer. Mine took about a week when they decided to reject mine because of the picture mistake to get re-approved

Augh. Support just contacted me and told me a lot of people are having problems right now with getting their antennas to connect. So I guess I’ll be waiting a few weeks.

Well now I’m worried. Maybe the miner needs the update? The radio dashboard says “ no supported radios, are attached to the freedomFi Gateway” so what’s wrong?
@@DoItJustinKace yeah I remembered it said that when I registered the cell. It took about 24 hours to get approved and it showed up after that. Did you assert the iot location then the mobile location?
What versions are on your Miner? My AGW is 2.7.9 and my miner version is 1.3.0. My indoor CBRS is on port one and my outdoor is on port 2. Port 2 goes to the POE injector first (make sure you on the right port on the POE injector) and then out to the 430h.@@DoItJustinKace
I think helium doesn’t care about earnings, they only care about expanding and adoption. being that I know that, as they’ve said countless times. I just keep my eye on them and make decisions cautiously. they pivot so much 😖
You guys are absolutely correct.If they can grow this network large enough through 'Crowd sourcing" ..It has a certain appeal to the large Telecom outfits.The money they would be willing to dish out to acquire will be unreal .🤔😏
Sounds like the old miner I bought. It was mining HNT and now IoT. Everybody started getting it and then all of a sudden they change protocols. So now maybe they'll say oh we're not doing that anymore because 6G came out. I was about ready to bite on the indoor one, but your videos are usually way above. Just what a normal person wants to plug in and be done with. Do you still think the indoor mobile unit is profitable now that you say in a sense? These really aren't?
I was thinking of getting this since ive had a freedom fi plugged in for at least a year. not sure what to do with my freedom now, since the little bit of IOT it makes is not worth much
so i am having trouble with my cbrs.......the cell 1 and cell 2 lights just blink and i can not see the cbrs in the gateway ....is this because my freedomfi is on software #1.3.0 and it needs to be 1.9?
I thought this was the reason. But everyone else on 1.3 says it’s working fine. So then I don’t know why we have that message on the on boarding saying we need to be on 1.9.
Justin you’re late to the party man! Why would you go thru with CBRS now. Everything is going WiFi! Where were you 18 months ago during Genesis when CBRS Was making 76,000 mobile per day!! You should have went with a WiFi unit! WiFi is going to be deployed world wide
