I actually don't mind the Pirates of The Caribbean fourth movie. As long as Johnny Depp is in them, I'll be happy. But I haven't watch those movies in a while, so that might be my childhood speaking.

Seriously? Is the 4th Indiana Jones film really that bad? I mean honestly? Most of the criticisms boiled down to nitpicky bullshit, and those same criticisms could be said for the older Indiana Jones film's. So what if it's far fetched? It's an action flick, it leagues ahead of any explosion fest made by Micheal Bay, that's for sure.

As the list was getting closer to #1 I had my suspicion about the top spot. I saw "Batman & Robin" as a child at 7 years-old, and it seemed like an AMAZING movie, I loved it and became one of my favorites...however as years go by I totally get what everyone was saying about this film, though it's so hard for me to not feel attached to it and my childhood, that's why regardless of how bad it is considered I will always have a fond for it :)

Crystal Skull isn't THAT bad. Definitely not worse than Phantom Menace. It has a great intro and I do think it was at least injected with some of its old school charm.

Ok, Terminator Salvation did have some plot holes, but i really don't think it was that bad. It had a good atmosphere and it strayed away from the whole time-travel thing, which was a good change of pace. I was kinda disappointed that Genysis was not a direct sequel of Salvation

It was because the media overhyped it (not Lucasfilms, who didn't even have ads on tv to open), and since it didn't live up to the media hype the media itself created, it was panned harder than it should have been. I still think that re-edited it could be an epic film. Redub Anakin, redo Jar Jar, touch up some CGI effects... Then you have something.

Age of extinction is my favourite film from the franchise, I love the action (and it's not disorientating), and I completely understand the plot. Plus, you can never get enough of the bumblebee cuteness. Also, I can't wait for the fifth movie X)

A lot of the movies that are listed are just as good as the others in their respective franchise. such as Star Wars The Phantom Menace, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Transformers 4, Superman 4, and Batman and Robin, those are personally for me all amazing movies, and completely underrated. Seriously how can you hate any of those movies, they were all awesome and I love them all

Batman & Robin is bad, sure. But, what made it so bad was that people had ridiculously high expectations of it, which was a terrible mistake. But, nearly 20 years later, the sting this insult of a film has left has certainly healed and it is far from the worst film of all time. It's far more watchable than Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, or many of the other films on this list and it's certainly not boring like most of the others. And, for fans of bad movies like me and other people who grew up with MST3K and RiffTrax, it even has a whole bunch of comedic value and is perfect for riffing on. I don't claim that it's a good movie; far from it. I'm just saying that it's not as bad as it was when it first came out. It's like cheese. A really stinky cheese that gets better with age. Just don't eat it without several shots of hard liquor.

Exactly. Superman IV is far, far worse. It's entirely stupid, it rips off so many things from the first and second film of the series and it commits the worst sin any film, especially superhero film, could possibly commit: it's so boring! At least Batman & Robin is entertaining.

Star Trek IV was one of the best of the original cast. The most criticism it received was being accused that it was just another save the whales movie. Fans and critics alike loved that movie directed quite well by Leonard Nimoy. That movie helped Nimoy direct 3 men and a baby! He won appraise for deftly making a decent 80's comedy! IMHO! One of the biggest arguments I have heard about the 4th Indiana Jones movie is "OMFG I can't believe they put aliens in it. That's so dumb." Yet those same people have no problem with the Ark of the Covenant melting Nazi's, magic stones in India, and the Holy fucking Grail. How is it any different?

Superman IV was essentially a compromise between Christopher Reeve and the studio behind it. Reeve wanted the company to produce his film "Street Smart" which came out in the same year and which gave Morgan Freeman a Best Supporting Actor nod. In return however he had to do this film.

Personally, I HATED "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" because of the most pathetic plot ever conceived in the movie, especially when it featured the Russians as the bad guys again. Other than that, I also HATED "Batman & Robin" because it was so cringeworthy and that the film's screenplay was written by Akiva Goldsman, who should have won a Golden Razzie Award, and that would have been included with his Oscar for "A Beautiful Mind" as well.

The prequels ruined nothing. People still love A New Hopw and Empire Strikes Back with the same love and admiration. Hell, I'd argue the prequels IMPROVED the Return of the Jedi. That said, Phantom Menace is terrible, so its place here is perfectly justified. But Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? No. Fucking. Way. This is a GOOD movie, you crazy people! And if you think Indy surviving nuclear blast in a fridge was "ridiculous", than what the fuck are you watching Indiana Jones? Is Indiana Jones riding a submarine or surviving an airplane fall in Temple of Doom less ridiculous? I don't think so. I genuinely think you're just hung up on your personal idea of what it should be, instead of what it is part of. I mean, come on - its so much more enjoyable and entertaining than ANY of your honorable mentions. Rethink this, please.

Shia LeBoyf is a douche - I don't think anyone will deny that. But he's serviceable in the film, as the chracter he portrays IS a stereotype. Just Indy is a sterotype throughout the series, really - he's the macho, misogynistic asshole that is loveable simply because his intentions are good. Really, Indy in the first is not a feminist, and is also a douche. But we love him, because he's Harrison Ford and because he cares for others and for history.

The lines were cheezy and the way it entertained people was not the way the movies are supposed to. Not with childish humor or action. The quotes were memorable in a bad way. You know everyone loves Frozen. Plus Batman Forever did too and a alot of people liked it. Batman from 1990s can pay homage to the 60s show if they want as long as it makes alot of money which it did. Making Batman and Robin one of the highest grossing movies of 1997. Did I have to mention that WB and DC made the movie to gear it towards a younger demograhpic which it worked like a charm for most of us as kids.

+Josh's Movie Mountain I disagree. Harrison Ford was the only one that really was on his game. Shia should never be in movies because he can't act out of a wet paper bag. The story was terrible. They had too many characters. I felt the most sorry for Karen Allen. She was so happy to be in a big budget movie again. You could tell she couldn't contain her enthusiasm. So she was pretty much out of character the whole film. Spielberg should have demanded re-writes before he agreed to direct.

can't really agree on Resident Evil: Afterlife, Final Destination IV or Terminator: Salvation. The Resident Evil franchise suffered from a constant downgrade in quality as time went on, the zombie genre was dead when Extinction hit theatres and instead sci-fi was all the hype. That's why Afterlife reinvented the wheel and turned into a rather solid zombie-sci-fi flick. The Final Destination franchise has always been surprisingly okay, one would imagine a horror franchise to lose it's kick after 3 movies but this one was surprisingly solid. And for all the flack Salvation gets...it was a fun experience, fans were hoping for too much and thus the experience was lukewarm. The movie itself, however, was okay.

if you didnt grow up in the 70's or 80's, you'll never understand how Phantom Menace was the "biggest case of cinematic blue balls in movie history". The fact that it's the only movie on the list where people actually ditched school or work to wait in line just for tickets to an opening day movie they would later have to ditch work or school again to go see should make it number one. Nobody gave a shit about Batman and Robin before, during, or after the movie came out. Comic book movies generally sucked anyway, prior to the latest Batman films. The complete and utter disappointment of the Phantom Menace was utterly infuriating to an entire generation and is one of those things that, if you weren't there, you'll just never understand.
