I haven’t played Galaxy for the past two years. I remember Bubble Breeze.

Let's be honest : There are no really bad galaxies in Mario Galaxy, there are just some that are not as good as others. (exept for Snowcap Galaxy, this one is really really bad!)

Man I totally disagree. Buoy Base was still awesome, even if it's short. Should be replaced with Boo's Boneyard.

I disagree with the last one. It’s meant to be an epilogue level that shows what everyone did once they got home. The Toad Brigade are now Royal Guards to Peach, everyone comes to visit the Mushroom Kingdom because why not. While yeah Grandmaster Galaxy in SMG2 is the ultimate final level, Grand Finale is just a nice lay back level. Also I never minded the play through the game as Luigi as well, now I get to play the game as Luigi.

Why do we have Loopdeloop and Loopdeswoop Galaxy, and not Shoopdawoop Galaxy?

Good Egg Galaxy: 6 Nice introduction to the game. Easy yet fun. The bosses were pretty solid as well. Honey Hive Galaxy: 7 A step up from Good Egg. Lots of nostalgia, it was designed really well! The bee mushroom is awesome, and the Queen Bee was a nice touch. (Literally.) Space Junk Galaxy: 9 Very relaxing, along with the perfect idea of space junk and pull stars. Kamella and Tarantox were also good ideas, and the music is outstanding! Battlerock Galaxy: 6 Pretty fun idea. I love the concept of flying around a giant space rock, it felt like a more intense space junk Galaxy. The background was also a very nice touch. Beach Bowl Galaxy: 10 Very fun and relaxing. Everything about it, The penguins, the setting, the music, even going underwater was great! This is the vacation Mario deserves. Ghostly Galaxy: 4 I don’t really like ghost houses, and this just wasn’t very entertaining. The Boo mushroom was underused, the race wasn’t fun, and Luigi wasn’t as good as he could’ve been! Bouldergiest was cool though. Gusty Garden Galaxy: 8 A bit overrated, but still very fun. A giant garden up in the clouds was pretty clever, and Major Burrows was a really good boss. The music is also very catchy! Freeze Flame Galaxy: 9 A lot better than Shiverburn Galaxy. I love climbing the frozen mountain and exploring the volcanic ruins just as much, along with the Ice and Fire Flower. Dusty Dune Galaxy: 3 It’s a desert level, so of course it’ll be boring. Could’ve done a lot more with the underground ruins, and a desert boss could’ve been awesome. Gold Leaf Galaxy: 8 Sure, it’s a mirrored Honey Hive Galaxy, But the autumn theme was gorgeous! The stars were a lot more fun, especially the one where you climb up the wooden tower to fight a robot mole. Sea Slide Galaxy: 2 Boring, uninspired, and half of the missions are just swimming. Even a boss fight couldn’t save this Galaxy. Next. Toy Time Galaxy: 10 So much fun! Combining frozen treats with cool looking toys, and you have an awesome Galaxy! Even the spring mushroom wasn’t that bad, and a giant toy bowser is a brilliant idea! Deep Dark Galaxy: 4 The spooky, underwater setting was cool, but other than the ghost ship, this Galaxy isn’t that fun. Dreadnought Galaxy: 7 The giant spaceship was very cool, and climbing inside of it was cooler. I enjoyed the mechanical aspect as well. Melty Molten Galaxy: 10 It certainly earns the title of being the last main Galaxy of the game. The lava spire and fiery Dino piranha missions were tough, yet rewarding. The galaxy looks awesome, and the music was intense!

8:04 I feel your pain. When I first played the ray surfing level, that happened to me about 50 times before I was able to get that star. 2 times, I made it about 99% of the way before falling off the water. Goes for 8:54 too.

Honestly I’ve never seemed to struggle with the trial galaxies. The motion controls seemed to work fine, except for Rolling Gizmo Galaxy I died a few times on that one

To be honest I like motion controls I think they are cool and give some kind of realism in a game. Why does everyone always need to complain about them, they were not made to be hated. In fact, if I need to play something with motion controls instead of a regular joystick I would not bother at all and still enjoy it as much as if I was playing it with classic button-press. But in the end that’s only my opinion...

Imma keep it real with you chief. When I saw this vid I tried to think of a galaxy that I didn’t like. I couldn’t. You made some good cases for lazy galaxies like gold leaf, and when you mentioned it, I realized that I really didn’t like snowcap, but that’s the only one. It’s a truly amazing game and out of 121 stars, 120 are enjoyable.

10:25 I strongly agree with how the star festival is a lazy reward for completing the game, because you work so hard and so long to get such an easy challenge to finish the game, Galaxy 2 did it better with the Perfect Run. But I will give the Star Festival some positive feedback with the music, and how you can talk to the characters you met throughout your adventure.

Not because galaxies that I like are here (To be honest I expected this because even the worst of the worst in Galaxy is fun and problems tend to be more with individual Power Starts than with entire galaxies). My problem is you complaining about motion controls that function well. I swear that the thing that triggers me the most (This reference wasn't intentional) is when people complain about motion controls just because they are motion controls regardless of how well they function.

I have a theory that sea slide and beach bowl were originally intended to be one galaxy that got split into 2 galaxies. Evidence: star 2 of BB is grabbing a golden shell. Lazy. Star 3 has nothing to do with the theme of the level. Strange. Stars 1 and 2 of SS are close to the same thing, PLUS theres an unnecessary cosmic clone race that is also more or less the same thing as stars 1 and 2. And the hidden star is reused from the other shrinking platform galaxy. What I'm saying is, theres enough creative ideas in both these galaxies combined to make only 1 galaxy.

10. Well, there are more than 9 galaxies that are much worse... If you include Star-ship Mario as a galaxy. 9. So, there's over 40 galaxies, they probably were short on ideas. 8. What's wrong with Desert levels. Tostarena in Mario Odyssey was cool, so was the levels in 3D Land 7. Again, there's over 40 galaxies, Whomp's Fortress/Throwback sees you climbing a tower. 6. Would you have rather had Buoy Base? Sorry I'm sensitive, I really like that stage. 5. It's not as easy as Bubble Breeze. So what? 4. Well if you never want to see this galaxy again I'll have make it the only Galaxy in 3's demo(I can't it's out of my power). 3. Just like the joy-con in worst Super MP minigames, I think you broke your controller. 2. may I remind you that Galaxy's on the Wii, where the main selling point was MOTION CONTROLS. 1. But no Luigi's Purple Coins. Just that one section, the rest of Toy-Time was great.

10. I HATED THIS LEVEL AS A KID! Could never figure out how to control the bubble for a while. Bubble Blast was also hard for me. Though Sling Pod galaxy was my last star on my first playthrough because those things are annoying to control. 9. Better than Honeyhive IMO, and this one's memorable for the Cata-Quacks. And the boss taking me way too long to beat. As in it was repetetive, annoying, and boring. 8. Purple coins on this stage was painful because of me being impulsive. I do remember this is where I got my first Green Star tho. I still remember it was on a Thursday when I got it. 7. Agree. It sadly has wasted potential and I wish it had more levels. and I couldn't figure out where the weight was. I actually thought it was the Green Star pipe. But then I found the weight and forgot the pipe. Could've had the Green Star earlier... (Also side note Luigi took way too long to send the letter for his green star to me. Hurry up so I can get through the Trail Galaxies of Torture!) 6. Very long world, and the silver star and Purple coins were annoying. Plus, I felt the Cosmic comet was too short and we should have swam the whole loop. At least there's a tiny penguin behind the lighthouse. EDIT: I come back to this Galaxy and I like it over Beach Bowl ._. 5. Bubble Blast was also hard for me. It was my 119th star on my first playthrough. So many cheap electric fence deaths. Though Sling Pod galaxy was my last star on my first playthrough. Reason listed at #10. 4. I HATED THOSE BUNNIES! I could always find 2 but never 3. I think this was my 116th star on my first playthrough... I also didn’t know the cursor could get rid of snow. 3. First Trial Galaxy I beat, and the easiest. It’s also the only one I tend to replay, as for me, it’s fun. Also don’t talk about motion controls. Seriously. I’m screaming internally 2. THIS LEVEL. I HATE THIS LEVEL. This is probably the hardest level in the game and somehow I beat it before Bubble Blast my first time playing. The problem is, there hardly any ground to walk on. I will admit, it would be much easier with a joystick. This and the fire flower are the only times I struggle with motion controls... 1. Really? I don't think it's that bad. Sure it's a crappy finale in comparsion to after fighting Bowser, but I just enjoy it for some reason. Seeing all the people you met come together for something special. EDIT: I like it because of the music.

The feeling when you are the only one who actually unironically enjoyed both loopdeswoop and the grand finale galaxies.

oof, the grand finale really doesnt deserve #1 at all in my opinion. It just feels unnecessary to put something that was tacked on at the end for a completion thing that high. I think that playing super mario galaxy was rewarding enough to play twice through ,for me at least.

Would love to give my recommendations, I can't remember which Galaxies I hated the most (SMG2) Anyway I didn't play the 1st one :^/. Also, I actually Love desert themed levels, then I love winter/ice themed levels. I agree deserts can be pretty annoying :^).

Does nobody get that Grand Finale Galaxy supposed to be you finally living the Star Festival after everything. It’s a great reward. The picture and message sent to your wii message board is the cherry on top

Controversial opinion: _All_ the motion control levels are better for being motion control. It fits them perfectly, and is both a breath of fresh air and makes sense in relation to the mechanics of the level.

Yeah, this is not a very good list. Buoy Base, Grand Finale and Gold Leaf are all good Galaxies. Grand Finale isn’t boring. It’s not supposed to be a challenge. It’s a celebration for your achievement of completing the game with both Mario and Luigi. It’s the end of your epic space adventure, and the friends you made along the way are all there. It’s a satisfying end to one of the best games ever made! Where’s Boo’s Boneyard Galaxy? What about Honeyclimb Galaxy? Heck, everyone knows the worst Galaxy is Sling Pod Galaxy. Who wants to sling themselves around big firebars and nonstop cannons with motion controls??

Here's my list: 10-Dreadnought Galaxy-This isn't a bad Galaxy, but it's basically Battlerock Galaxy on hardmode. Star one is a simple obstacle course, star two is a course where you have to use bob-ombs, star three is a fight against Topmanic, the secret star is another frustrating blowing up trash mini-game, the prankster comet is a Topmanic fight with an added challenge, except it's a speedrun instead of a daredevil run, and the purple coin star is another collect all purple coins on this platform. Speaking of the purple coin star, it's awful, you have to play perfectly, you cannot miss a purple coin, plus with added canons, lasers, a thowmp, shockfields, and strange gravity shift at some point, it becomes frustrating. 9-Loopdeeloop Galaxy/Swoopdeeswoop Galaxy-I don't hate the ball, however I agree that the manta ray is awful, I put two Galaxies on this entry, because the're both the same, just that Loopdeeswoop is harder. End that ray, end it now. 8-Sling Pod Galaxy-I liked the idea of the sling pods introduced in star three of Space Junk Galaxy, but this Galaxy requires you to be perfect, if you miss slightly, you fail. It's frustrating. 7-Flipswitch Galaxy-Flipswitches cool, but this Galaxy however is too easy. Not much to say. 6-Grand Finale Galaxy-Nico and NB explained everything perfectly, I don't hate it enough to put it on number five though. 5-Honey Climb Galaxy-You just climb honey with a bee suit. It's forgetable too, I had to research it's name. 4-Hurry Scurry Galaxy-Run and get music notes on a shrinking satellites . Sounds hard? It isn't. 3-Mattersplatter Galaxy-Boring, just boring. It takes way too long, the platforms are slow, and at one point, you have to use the spring-mushroom. 2-ALL WATER GALAXIES-You know what I'm talking about, Beach Bowl Galaxy, Bouy Base Galaxy, Drip Drop Galaxy, Bigmouth Galaxy, Sea Slide Galaxy and Deep Dark Galaxy, all are awful. The controls suck, don't tell me that BS that Mario controls great underwater, HE DOESN'T, he doesn't go where I want him to go, he has a mind of his own, it's just not precise. The breath meter makes it worse, resulting in loads of frustrating deaths. Not only that, but the're boring, so boring, especially Sea Slide Galaxy. 1-*SNOW CAP GALAXY*-NB and Nico explained everything perfectly. The reason why this is number one, is because it's frustrating and boring, it's just another bunny chase, but it's more frustrating. You did it Snow Cap, You're Winner, now grab your reward for worst pile of garbage, and sleep in the dump for the rest of your life.

Super Mario Galaxy is my all-time favorite video game. So, even if these are the worst, I still admire each of their design qualities.

I actually enjoyed the loopdyswoop and grand finale galaxy. While Loopdyswoop was challenging it was fun, and grand finale was a nice finish.
