Alright, I give you that one, but Metal Mario first appeared in Mario 64 and had a purpose. As of 2019, Pink Gold Peach has appeared solely in Mario Kart, making her creation have a different reason than Metal Mario, to fill a character slot.

I like how like half of this list has some of my favorite mario kart characters. I Love playing as obscure characters that only appeared in 1 or 2 games. Or silly Goofy enemies like Wiggler. Without characters like these I think Mario Kart just has a boring roster of characters. It's fun seeing different corners of the Mario universe come together in one game. I wish they would add like warioware characters, and like atleast 4 or 5 donkey characters just so we get a whole variety of games from this universe coming together into Mario kart.

Donkey Kong Jr didn't disappear, he just became Donkey Kong. The original Donkey Kong is now Cranky Kong and the Donkey Kong that appears in most games is Donkey Kong Jr grown up.
