He disappointed me by not including Avatar 2 and putting that on his best list instead...Abysmal dialogue, same plot as the first basically, incredibly long and boring, etc. I could go on. It's a travesty.
@@amarcellus1714 Yeah I am not forgiving it. Arthur is a kids show and has some episodes that have made me cry. Many Pixar films are pretty and ALSO tell a good story. Why does this shit get a pass? I wouldn't have even enjoyed this movie as a kid lol.
@@NealFowler Expect, probably not. Hoped for though, oh yes. The premise had a literal world of possibilities! As stupid as it was the previous movie put dinos into the world giving us the potential for horror stories, monster experiences, tense danger, and oh so much more! Instead we got locusts.
@@WH250398 Honestly the reason why i unsubscribed to him. I'm here to hear both positive and negative reviews, but it's so transparent that Chris stopped doing negative reviews because he's afraid to piss people off in the movie industry because he's now part of it. It's so transparent and honestly pretty pathetic.
@@WH250398 He will never do that. Chris Stuckmann sold out so he will not piss off the Hollywood overlords. There is no point of him being a critic anymore when he will not trash bad movies and only reviews the movie which he like.

I’m so happy that Guillermo del toro came out with his pinnochio this year because I literally forgot about the Disney remake bc of it until I watched this video
Great thing that Guillermo Del Toro's Netflix stop-motion Pinocchio redeemed its source material, let alone that his version did much better. Like, the Disney live-action Pinocchio, on the other hand, was such a travesty of a trainwreck and an insult of the 1940s Disney Pinocchio classic.
@@bigmanliam the first one as in 1978. I enjoyed 2018, kills is just a lot of fun because michael is a beast. And 2018 is a good different story but bad conclusion. Youll like it more if you watch it as a standalone film
EXACTLY I agree with Jeremy WHOLEHEARTEDLY 😡. I was really disappointed with 355, The Munsters, Thor Love and Thunder, Morbius, Uncharted, Firestarter, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jurassic World Dominion, Fantastic Beasts Secrets of Dumbledore and Pinocchio 🤥. THEY WERE THE WORST MOVIES OF THE PAST FEW YEARS. I like Matrix Resurrections and Mortal Kombat 2021 WAYYYY BETTER THAN THESE 😂. This has nothing to do with the video but please read/ listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a Christian and Apologist but I'm also a recent college graduate. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't. I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers. Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of but not macro or micro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant.
@@bighand1530 only good animation movie we gotten was encanto… Maybe new light years movie but that’s pretty much it. Everything else just dumpster fire.
I really like Taika Waititi, but not his genre, something about superhero comedy just doesn't work unless its dark or twisted like The Boys or Deadpool.
"We're about to burn some trash" ROFL... I almost fell out of my chair laughing at that. Best opening monolog yet!!! I can already predict one of the best movies of 2023... John Wick Chapter 4, can't wait until March!! HAPPY NEW YEAR Jeremy, and thanks!! You're the BEST!!!
I was 15 when I first started watching you in 2012 and I'm now 26. It's been a great 10 years! It still feels like yesterday when you dropped "Top 10 Worst Movies of 2012"
When our parents said time flies, they weren't lying. Same age, and I remember watching him back then too. Where the hell did the time go. Honestly it feels like I blinked in 2018 and now it's 2023
The original Firestarter was my first horror movie when I was 11 - we rented it from a video store on VHS (it was 1991...I'm old 😂). I decided to try and watch the new one. I got 5 minutes into it, if that, and noped the fuck out 😂😋.
@@errolbourgeois8230 good to know I didn't skip it in haste - I just love the original so much 🥰. I couldn't get into the new one. And you're right - Barrymore killed it 😊😊😊.
I just watched the trailer, and it just felt that things were off. I read the book and know that adaptations take some liberties, but only seeing the trailer for the original, it looks way more like it was trying to follow the book.
I’m super surprised Halloween Ends didn’t make it to your list. But much like how I forgot there was a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie, you likely were true to your word and forgot it in T-Minus 1 Day 😂
I enjoyed Halloween Ends, personally. I found the look at the other residents of Haddonfield interesting, and I liked the effect Myers had on the town. Corey was... A bold idea that was executed sub optimally. If he'd had more set up in the other movies, he'd have worked. But he wasn't, so he didn't.
@@eldritchumbra9834 Same. The biggest issue for it to me like you said was Cory. It was a bold idea and could of worked if they set it up in a previous movie. The fact that they did it in this movie made it feel a lot more forced. It would of came more naturally if he was setup in either kills or even 2018.
because, probably like me, Jeremy didn't know or had any expectations for most of those movies but did expect great things from Love and Thunder - only to be severely disappointed.
when I first immigrated into America from Ukraine in the 90s, Pinocchio was the first vhs we ever owed as kids, I’ve have that film memorized and it stands for everything in my childhood. when I tried to watch the remake with my own children now, I almost cried, couldn’t agree with you more, Disney is ruining itself from within 😢
Disney is really falling apart, and as if the problems within Disney and the rest of its associates, such as Marvel, Lucasfilms and Pixar, couldn't get anything but worse, as time went by. And honestly, Bob Chapek and Bob Iger (as well as Kathleen Kennedy) gets all the blame for the disaster that the company is enduring, thanks to their pathetic garbage leftist politics being thrown at the audiences, leaving the latter being disgusted.
My wife and I were trying to figure out what movie to watch… so I watched your best movies of 2020-2022 and realized that I should have watched your worst movies of 2020-2022 cause those are actually the kinda movie we enjoy!! So thanks for making that list too!
I thought uncharted was a fun movie. It's not good, but its by no means a bad movie. Yea, it's unoriginal, cliche, predictable, and stiff acting; but I had a ton of fun with it.
Agree with all apart from Uncharted. I was pleasantly surprised by their take on the franchise, even as someone that as completed all the games many times over! Happy new year Jeremy
Yo! Literally, I think of one who’s too busy being 1970s Spielberg and too thoughtful and above making these 😏 I love some good o’l worst of the year 😇
I agree.Halloween Ends was one of the movies of the year I was looking forward to.more than Texas chainsaw.and I did enjoy Kills even it was stupid and a waste of potential but it was entertainment stupid.but not for Ends.this movie shows that they have no plan and there's no reason to make a trilogy.if you want to see a real Halloween trilogy.go watch Halloween 1978 Halloween II 1981 and Halloween H20 1998.
Hell, I argue and say Halloween ends should be number 1. Jurassic domination and dumbledore at least continue from where the last one left off and Pinocchio just shows how great disney is at theses constantly bad live action remakes so nothing new there. Halloween ends forgets to be a horror movie, becomes this slice of life movie, then 2/3rds in remembers its ending a trilogy and throws everything at the end. Just sad.
Sorry...While Tom is USUALLY A TERRIFIC Actor, Having To Work with Soo Much Greenscreen Has Dulled THAT Talent & Who Decided That BlueFairy Should Be BALD with MANY Lobe Piercings? ONLY TheFox🦊 & Jiminey🦗 Were EXTREMELY Passable!
I hate new Mulan, I hate it with so much passion, I hate it more as time goes on. Mulan is one of my core memory, the film that taught me to be brave, that ingenuity triumphs over raw power. Ever since i watched Mulan 2020 i hoped that Disney wont destroy another film that is also dear to me, a film that shaped my morale and taught me so much... Pinocchio... yeah... man.. im not even mad now, i got too much hate that it exhausted me. now i am just sad and tired
I will never understand why people who hate these movies will watch them anyway. If these Disney remakes make you that unhappy, then perhaps you should consider to stop watching them instead of giving Disney money to make more terrible remakes?
I swear to God just when you think the video game movie curse MIGHT FINALLY be over, something like Uncharted comes along to remind us that "oh...no....Sonic the Hedgehog, SONIC, THE FCKING HEDGEHOG is a gem in a sea of awful." And thanks to Chris Pratt I think the Blue Blur might be on his own in that regard. The Mario Movie looks GREAT, but when your LEAD is just boring as tar that's not great.
While I disagree that uncharted was as awful as people say it is, it is rather crazy that of all the video game adaptations, both sonic movies are the best ones so far
@@zaneps151 it's absolute insanity. But there's a reason for it: the people at the helm CARE about the story and characters. The movies have a REASON to exist; to explore Sonic as a character and explore his world as if it were on Earth. Which makes the absolute most sense since they're now introducing Shadow, who at one point wanted to wipe out humanity because he believed them to be responsible for the death of Maria, his only friend. Shadow is really such a fascinating character, and much more than an edgelord; I hope they get him right. They fixed Tails and Knuckles, so i have high hopes.
It's unreal that of all the franchises, Sonic the Hedgehog is the one that has the most heart to it. Cause even Marvel now just seems like....phoned in. Love and Thunder was the straw that broke the camel's back. I never much had a problem with the MCU humor, but even there it was just on overload. Meanwhile Sonic had moments of cringe and humor sure, but it kinda works because it's wholesome. I really want Robert Pattinson to play Shadow that would be mint.
This is truly the list of films of all time, what a time to be alive. Also I love at 9:45 where Jeremy decides to go all in on lobbing his phone but then instantly regrets it and has to glance that it's not broken 🤣
Ive been watching Jeremy reviews for years now, at this point I just watch whatever Jeremy says is good and according to my mood. Feeling bored = no alcohol required 😁, feeling like spending 100$ at cinema = aswometacular THANK YOU JEREMY !!!!!
That's unfortunate, there are so many great movies that Jeremy hasn't reviewed. I will recommend you watch more trailers, write down the ones you liked, and then wait for reviews to decide whether or not to see them.
@Bad Boys Boogie yikes. Obi-Wan was solid but felt more like filler content than a real story. This was the same issue I had with Boba Fett's series. FYI I will say that Vader was the single best thing in Obi-Wan's series. Ring of Power was boring as hell. I looove Lord of The Rings and I love a good slow burn story but jeez I've seen slugs on sandpaper move faster than the pacing in that series. Fantastic Beasts much like The Hobbit are such obviously soulless cash grab that its weird seeing anyone defend. They took limited material and stretched beyond anything reasonable. The writing is weak and convoluted. I will say the acting is decent but not enough to fix the story. Listen, you can like whatever you want but Jeremy was on the mark with his reviews on these bricks you love.
I need Jeremy to upload a new 5sec video, with a blank background, of him saying "The Mouse phoning in the fuck in" and then pounding his Lagavulin. That gif would get soooooo much use.
As a non-gamer, I actually enjoyed _Uncharted_ enough to see it twice-and it’s far from ranking among my bottom 10 for 2022-but I can understand those who dislike it for being an adaptation in name only.
"Shang Tsung the F**k out of it.." I was absolutely rolling. Perfect analogy! Jeremy, thank you so much. I'm looking forward to another year of your awesomeness.
I actually appreciate the uncharted movie because it reminded how video game movies used to be and made me appreciate how good we have the video game movies today
Thor the Dark World still holds the title as the worst thor. But L & T comes a close second. But also Alan Taylor isn’t coming back suddenly they want him back, but just like George Lucas, Alan isn’t coming back cause he was trashed so hard he didn’t wanna make film at all apparently was what he said
Thanks for another great year Jeremy! u've been keeping it real since day 1! Keep beeing a trustworthy source of movie critique we all love and tune in for!
There’s a lot worse out there to be fair. Ends is mostly disappointing rather then completely shit. Very meh because there is some fun to be had even when it should’ve been more. Still rather watch that and see some cool kills versus a lot of the bullshit nowadays.
@@brycebirkinbine4119 it failed on delivering kills as well, that’s why I hate it so much. Other bad Halloween movies at least had that as their redeeming factor.
The fact that the original "Borderlands" game used "Ain't No Rest For the Wicked" as its theme seems to have a certain poetry to it, right about now...
Honestly number 1 for me was jurrasic world which was more disappointing then I wanted. I was so excited for the concept of dinos rolling around the world, the old cast, but there was just so little that worked, and a lot that didn't. As much as I love jurassic park, I hope the movies are done for a while.

Aw I really liked Secrets of Dumbledore. I thought it was great and the acting was wonderful and it became an espionage film in the second half. I enjoy it more than some of the HP movies too
Simon Kinberg might not be a good writer But you can bet he is a great producer It was because of him that we got FIRST CLASS, DEADPOOL and LOGAN And THE MARTIAN too

Jeremy makes his statement of "forgettable in t-minus..." true by forgetting movies were actually made. Also the idea "that Disney Shang Tsung's the fuck out of original movies!" is absolutely the most accurate claim about remakes in general these days.
I just love how you continue to use the same transition cards and voice clips for all your Top 10s, even all these years later. I appreciate that you hold on to your lineage like that. It's really nice :)
The film is damn near a decade old. The Northman, The Outfit, Infinite Storm and Everything Everywhere all at Once are all great films that went under the radar except for perhaps EE
@@positivevibes532 I hated the Northman it was long and boring. I was excited to see it then left the theater thinking well that story was kind of useless
I was honestly really disappointed with Lightyear, compared to how much I was looking forward to it. Between all the controversy they *purposefully* surrounded the movie with, the wasted potential of the story taking place on a single planet, and just bad writing in general (as most souless Disney remakes do), I would have probably put it at 8 or 7 in my top 10 worst of the year.
Me and my fiancée took 5 several attempts to try to finish Secrets of Dumb. It was so hard not to either fall asleep or just say “do you want to watch literally anything else instead of this”.
I can’t believe I’ve watched Jeremy for over 10 years. His the only person on RU-vid I watch religiously and opinion I trust the most for movies, not saying others are good. But something about his wholesome manner always keep me coming back, happy new year sir
Texas chainsaw massacre was great imo. Grwat kills and leatherface. The characters were intentionally bad like bodies bodies bodies. We were suppose to root for leatherface. Its okay to root for the killer. Also its well directed and some good scenes of suspense- the blonde girl in the crashed truck and has to fake being dead. Good scene
@@Yoroy5 im not saying its a great movie im saying its a blast to watch. The movie recognizes that its an insane plot, it doenst take itself seriously. An example is when the lead girl says “your plan is insane.” The kills and leatherface make the film as well as the impressive direction. And what door do you speak of.
I would have liked it more if it actually committed to being a mindlessly entertaining slasher (I love the Friday the 13th films) but it didn't. It tried to give social commentary on very serious real-world issues like school shootings and gentrification which it was not at all qualified to handle respectfully.
I guess i am the only one who liked The Secrets of Dumbledore. I had extremely low expectations, because the previous one was sooo bad. So TSOD was ok for me. Not momorable or anything, i just enjoyed it. Happy New Year, Jeremy!
@@JurassicTrek maybe this is his mid life crisis time, he recently divorced his wife and got with another lady quick fast and they are all over the media which usually is a red flag. He is always looking silly and drunk in interviews now but again it might just be a phase... hopefully because he normally is on his A game!
Mixed blessing of not seeing too many new movies this year was that I didn't see many bad movies...except Morbius, which I saw with my girlfriend and her mother since we were curious. All memes aside, this felt just like an early 2000s comic book movie; and that's not a compliment. Think I can leave it at that. Girlfriend and I did start watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre as well but we hated so much that we only got about half way through it before giving up on it. Also saw Halloween Ends: they should have left the series alone after the 2018 movie because this one sucked worse than Kills.
I actually don't understand the hate for Pinocchio... in fact, I thought it was one of their better live-action remakes. I'd put it below Jungle Book but above Cinderella. I liked the nightmare carnival atmosphere of Pleasure Island... the concept of a ballerina who lives out her dreams deferred with a wooden doll was bittersweet... Honest John and Gideon were fun... the expressions on the CGI Pinocchio were well done... Hanks' line "You did all that in ONE DAY?!" was amazing... I liked the reinterpretation of Monstro as a Lovecraftian aberration... I don't know... maybe I was just in a bad mood that night, and this movie cheered me up. I still think the 1940 animated film is better, but certainly its live-action remake has its merits. Very much looking forward to the del Toro movie.
Unpopular opinion: I found Simon Kingerg's direction in DARK PHOENIX pretty solid, much better than THE 355 He was able to give the movie an identity of its own, rather than trying to replicate Bryan Singer's direction Unlike Brett Ratner tried to do in THE LAST STAND
Dark Phoenix is a perfectly fine X-Men movie. Yeah there's some weird scenes and quicksilver was robbed as a character but the action scenes were great and the score by Zimmer is outstanding.
