The Worst 5 Movies of 2022 

I cant believe Morbius came out this year. It legitimately has felt like that movie has been out for like 3 years.

The way that Morbius became a meme that trolled the studio into re-releasing it is an art form in itself. That is a distinguished category that I'm not sure any other film will get into.

No joke i legitimately watched morbius thinking the "it's morbin time" scene was real. For me personally, the biggest disappointment was not getting that scene.

I commend Charlie's ability to scream his heart out in lowercase

It’s crazy how they can take such a cool premise of dinosaurs integrating with the world and make it about a clone girl and bugs. That’s an achievement

Fun fact: when Morbius was rereleased in theaters, I told my sibling that it made about $85,000 and they’re response was “only 85k?! My master’s degree was more money than that.” So keep that in mind

I refuse to believe Moonfall was from this year, I saw a DVD of it being sold for $4 at Dollar General, it looked like all the mid 2000s movies it was in the bargain bin with. How Roland Emmerich manages to keep getting work astounds me.

My biggest problem with Moonfall was that I never felt human kind actually dying. By far, only 7 characters died on-screen. If you are going for a disaster movie, then you need people to see and be scared of the amount of destruction that is going to happen.

The story centered around the release of Morbius is one of the best I've seen and experienced. It is one of the best stories that's about everyday normal human beings that made a mindless corporation lose their money by the boatload through deception disguised as memes

Even if morbius made it into worst movies list of charlie, you still can't deny the fact that the characters were written, the cgi was animated, the story was told, and the overall movie was made.

Halloween Ends is exactly why I watch a Halloween movie, to see an old, wounded, dying man struggle in a sewer for an hour while some butthead is the focus for the whole movie before getting killed anyway.

Funny story: the new Texas Chainsaw movie was one of the first ever horror movies I watched with my girlfriend. She absolutely hates horror films and gets scared very easily, but the fact that she actually laughed at it *with* me makes me think a dishonorable mention was a fitting spot on this list.

I have never heard Charlie more passionate about a topic ever than when he talked about how bad Moonfall was, it was incredible.

The PTSD that Grindelwald Movie caused Charlie is very entertaining to watch

Memes aside, you know it’s gonna be a wild ride when Morbius is one of the first movies discussed in the Worst Movies category.

My friend and I saw Morbius the last day in theaters (during its normal run), and it may be my favorite movie watching experience of all time. It was a near empty theater so we kept cheering for stupid scenes. The memes made elevated this movie from a terrible cash grab to one of the goofiest movies ever, and I absolutely love it for that.

i met the director for the new texas chainsaw massacre at monsterpalooza. the guy was really nice and his little booth area was definitely getting ignored for the most part, i even heard some dudes laughing about it in the bathroom. felt bad, all he said he wanted was to do was make it different then something everyones already seen

The secrets of dumbledoor is basically a two hour version of the scene from the rick and morty heist episode where all the characters run around doing random tasks

Morbius was so odd. It started out fine and then it just dropped like a sledge hammer. I have no idea what happened. It just turned so bad so fast it was confusing.

I watched morb on premiere on a quality theater. It felt wildly cut for some reason, like half the movie was removed. That said, it was so bad it was enjoyable and probably one of the best cinema experiences I've had.

I happened to walk into the room while my dad was watching Moonfall and sat and watched the rest with him. I missed the first 40 minutes of it and I couldn't tell if any valuable plot point was missed.

Fun fact about moonfall, my friends, my girlfriend, and I went to go watch it and went insane when we saw our city was featured in the movie. Literally was the best part of the movie, it lasted 3 seconds on screen😭

I saw Moonfall in theatres in 4dx with the Universal Studios rollercoaster seats and it went hard. the ending lore actually had my brain cells expanding. Truly the best bad movie of all time. We need a prequel sequel

Moonfall was absolutely hysterical. Went to see it with the boys opening weekend for my birthday because I was intrigued by the trailers. Told them walking in it would either be a really good movie or a really good comedy. Was glad to see that the last one came true. We could not stop laughing at the movie. 10/10 immensely entertained, would watch again. Also side note, the movie actually had impressive CGI, my mind was blown by the render of Earth's creation and history and again by the shots of the moon scraping by earth with the meteors pouring down (probably only impressed because of the quality of the movie otherwise but was still cool).

This category gets more and more competitive every year! I can't wait for future years!

I write a weekly film review column for the Star Mail newspaper group, and this year marks my ninth yearly best and worst films countdown. I honestly liked The Secrets of Dumbledore and Halloween Ends, but they ended up more-or-less in the middle of all the films I saw this year. Jurassic World: Dominion was in my worst films list, but at #8. Morbius is #5 on my worst list, and Moonfall is #4. Perhaps the most surprising entry on my worst list is The Wonder at #10. The Wonder is otherwise a very good film that immediately shoots itself in the foot with the opening, which explicitly calls attention to the film's fakeness and thus deflates the drama. My #3 worst film is Loveland, a painfully dull cyberpunk drama, and my #2 and #1 worst films are the 365 Days sequels, which I discussed together as basically the same boring yet infuriating movie.

I watched Moonfall in my astronomy class to "get us ready for our moon unit" and I thought it was actually really good especially because we watched that instead of literally anything else

Wow the way he talks about Moonfall reminds me of how I felt about Tag Riaru Onigokku. And that is the only movie I've ever seen that had so much bad nonsense that I had to re-watch it again and again to try and figure out wtf was even happening. Eventually I had to conclude that there was no plot at all, but they sure did a good job stringing you along to make you think there might be one lmao.

Morbius made morbtrillion dollars at the box office. Truly one of the superhero films of all time.

Texas Chainsaw had the most infuriating ending I think I've ever seen. I'm not sure if an ending has ever been less satisfying. I'm glad Charlie revealed it. In the timeless words of Joe Bob Briggs, "Why not just wait for the character to get home, then have them get hit by a truck?"

Does Charlie have a degree in journalism? Because if not, he should. He is so good at reporting on events and reviewing stuff!

So funny he mentioned nodding off during jurassic park because I went and saw it with my family and fell asleep 20 mintes in and woke up near the end. And it was apparently so uneventful that no one bothered looking over and noticing that I was asleep so at the end they were like "that was awesome" and I felt so guilty (never fallen asleep during a movie before) but I just agreed and we left and I never told them.

I had genuinely forgot every minute of Halloween ends, except the opening scene I think I might’ve fallen asleep
