@@Kolonite_ you can still get more return out of a full auto combat rifle, with spray and pray, and at it's base, it can still be full auto and STILL use .45. But, I rather used stealth, semi auto rifles and no power armor and never had any trouble, any time
Jack Barley .... so my kid wrote this. And now I’m giving him a hard time about it. Evidentially he was trying to respond about someone named “Ox horn” who doesn’t wear power armour.
Considering that the Acid soaker has a magazine/jar size of twenty rounds, I think the recipe was intended to be for an entire 20 round jar of ammo rather than one squirt. Also, having recoil on a frickin' squirt gun is ridiculous.
I don't care how effective that gun is against armor. You are trying to kill five Brotherhood Paladins armed with gatling lasers with a varmint rifle. Stop it.
I was about to ask what varmints you hunt with 45 X 70 but then I remembered, technically 5.56 is a varmint cartridge so I suppose 45 being slower would count. and either way its a varmint gun compared to the brotherhood of steel, or the fallout wild life for that matter. so I guess
Antonov An 225 level 64 girlfriend is 66 she used to use it for extra carry weight but she carries more without it i personally don't like power armor but I have a museum with a bunch in it
oh you havent used miniguns i see... not at all.. they are by far the best weapons in the game, if used with unique explosive ammo. 100 bullets per second doing normal bullet damage PLUS 3000!!! damage per second in splash damage.
+Dylan Omega I suppose, like an explosive combat rifle... Just make the receiver a powerful automatic one. I've gotten an explosive minigun, it fucking shreds through ANY THING.
I will give fallout 4 this, the common wealth is super detailed, especially in the Boston area. Though that doesn't matter because there are a whole 4 interesting quest in the game.
Most of these clips are good examples of why I dislike scaling in games. Launching a billion missiles at an enemy while absorbing a ridiculous amount of damage yourself is just stupid (power armour or not). Bullet sponges aren't fun to play against (or be) and take all the skill and tension out of playing. Those early engagements in FO4 where you have a random assortment of crap guns and extremely limited ammo/supplies are, I think, when the game is most fun. I like having perks that improve your ability to lockpick or craft stuff or whatever, but I like a bit of realism in my games (even ones with supermutants). Thank goodness for mods.
I don't know what was up with his game play I've never needed more than 2 rockets on a human non power armor target and he's probably using a mod to take less damage
Once you get high enough.. the enemies get hard enough that these OP weapons and builds are no longer so OP. Get up to like 150 and these explosive weapons, while still being powerful, don't necessarily shred everything any more.. once your enemies all start wearing heavy, dense armor.. they get pretty tanky.
I don’t like power armor because of fusion cores. It’s not like I’m in a shortage of them, I usually have 50-100 in my inventory at all times. It’s just handling fusion cores and sometimes it feels like you’re wasting the fusion core and it stresses me out for some reason.
im not offended just being honest. like maybe you havent seen it but he alredy made a video saying that his father passed away not long ago and makind depression jokes on someone on that situation is kind of a dick move. But i guess you probably didnt see it so sorry for insulting you no need to be passive agressive and sarcastic about it
The incendiary effect is pretty useful on a combat shotgun, especially since the explosive combat shotgun has a habit of dealing suicide damage due to being too close to the target.
Manuel Montoya it’s a great effect at low levels, a beginner effect if you will, but you’ll find that as time goes on, you’ll find that the burn damage becomes pretty redundant in terms of damage, especially on higher damage resistance enemies
Dude I dumped my Silver Submachine gun for the Spray ‘N’ Pray, I love that gun lol. Also, I disagree about the radiation, as you heal ghouls with radiation, whereas explosives will ALWAYS deal damage. PLUS, there’s been many times a sneaky little turds taken cover and I just said “lol k” and shot the ceiling above them.
Justin Helms even though the radiation does heal ghouls, the kiloton radium rifle is still better in damage than the spray n pray. When you fully mod out the weapon, you can do so much better than the spray pray
Best gun in the game is Lorenzo's Artifact gun. Get explosive, energy weapons, and nuclear physycist perks, with pistol perks, and it absolutely ANNIHILATES everything. EVERYTHING.
Good luck guys, just make sure you get all the relevant perks for it. (explosive, radiation, pistol, energy - as far as i know only these) And there, you have an explosive fus ro dah gun.
Basically, makes the unique weapons ACTUALLY unique. It replaces their legendary weapon effects with a unique modification. (i.e. Kellogg's Pistol has a unique barrel that gives it a chance to instantly kill full health targets.) On top of that, if you have a mod that allows you to craft legendary weapon effects, you can then stack those effects on top of the unique mod. Just to save some time, here's a link to the mod: Xbox: mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/fallout4/mod-detail/1911920 PC: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15139/? It changes everything for the base game. Not sure if he's working on a DLC version quite yet.
Kenmiester2012 this moder, get to all the store weapons as well? Super excited to use this, lack of Unique weapons is one of the many failures of fallout 4, this sounds like a major improvment
"The reload animation for the Lever Action Rifle is still broken" You could say that about Old Reliable, but it doesn't make it shit. Also, just get the Rapid Reload perk.
Best weapon in fallout 4 - gamma gun +50% dmg to ghul. Wait... wat? Spray'n'pray is one of the best weapons in the game. It completely masquerades ghouls, synths and robots. Damage from explosions is more likely to have critical effects such as stunning, knockdown or damage to the limb. And 15 points of damage in a shot in a man turns into 15x6. Can attack opponents with obstacles. And attack many enemies at once. With this weapon you can go through half the game (ie up to 50lv). And the fact that it's a tommy gun makes it possible to quickly take damage.
if you can find a pipe pistol, rifle with the legendary effect explosive it is better than the spray and pray in every way, more versatility, cheaper ammo, lower perk requirements.
The base damage is shit. Anything else with the effect is much better. Just kill a couple of legendary enemies and you'll probably find an assault rifle or combat rifle etc with the same explosive effect, and they deal at the very least twice as much damage and have superior range. Spray n' pray is a waste of money and bullets.
I know what you're thinking. 'Did he fire six shots or only five'? Well to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, i kind of lost track myself. But being that this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well do ya, punk? sorry i love the 44 magnum not much to not to that
The 44 magnum is amazing tbh only when you get the max damage mods and some non auto hand gun perks to boost its damage (i had a 148 damage per shot with only two skillpoints so it gets strong for a simple handgun
Well I’d say kiloton radium rifle and person who solves problems are better nonetheless this gun is a banger , I fell like author is just generally bad at the game
I use the minigun to stack bleeds with wounding. It is a very satisfying play style. Also though I haven't tried it yet, I have heard that the Assualtron Head is a very good secondary weapon for tank characters, because ghoulish allows you to use the weapon as a self heal of sorts, and then the rads melt away with solar powered.
TheReconRampage it is a deliverer that shoots acid, just the barrel is extended and the extra's added, the handle and trigger are taken from the deliverer and even directly reference it's textures in the CK
It doesn't seem like there's any rhythm to this list. You don't hold any of these weapons to the same standard, but just declare them "bad" or "not worth the hassle" or "not effective when fighting legendary super mutant behemoth at level 80". At first, you list the weapons by a sort of effort to acquire/cost us use ratio, but then go on to erase this system when you talk about the Gainer. It costs nothing to get, has no prerequisites in a sense of player level or quests, and is cheaper to use than most of the other firearms in the list, but it's worse than the Cryolator? I'm also noticing that you're not so adamant about DPS, which in a few other of your videos you seem to believe is the only redeeming factor (To give a good example, the FO:NV where you ranked the worst weapons in game, with no regard as to their actual value, just their DPS)
Blackwood Security The Gainer is awful because 15 damage per shot drops off very fast as you level up, and considering you only fire 1-3 rounds at enemies, that's only 15-45 damage. At least with the Ashburner Minigun, you'll be firing around 100 rounds, which does (15 × 100) fire damage. The Gainer just doesn't fire enough rounds at once to make it's legendary effect any use. For weapon effects that do Fire, Explosive, etc. you want something that fires a lot more rounds like the Submachine Gun, Minigun, Pack Automatic Rifle, etc.
Blackwood Security it does seem that way for this video but the thing is that the effect is always more important than dps because that is what helps the weapon in some way. And yes damage is important, but when comes to a weapon with a legendary effect, that should always come first. Also, the incendiary effect is trash because of low boost to damage and the so called”burn damage” will not show on enemies with higher damage resistances
Paistin Lasta you have to realize that he is just pointing out weapons that you should avoid, though I disagree with some of them. He is telling you other weapons that you could get. That was the whole point of the video
The "Death From Above" isn't a bad weapon, especially because of its mechanic. It's more of a situational item in my opinion because its more suited for indoor areas with large spaces like factories and subway stations when you've got large numbers of enemies to take out. I probably would have placed it lower on the list.
Cryolator is a fun gun. The Fusion City quest mod has a quest reward that allows you to build an expanded Nuka beverage line up producing machine that includes iced drinks. To accomplish this the machine allows you to produce your own cryo cells and medical liquid nitrogen. The Cryolator had been sitting in a weapon locker at Rockin' Red Rocket until I completed Fusion City. Now I drag it everywhere!
Every submachine gun is bad. Low damage, really expensive ammo, a damn pipe pistol is more effective, and the fire rate consumes all your expensive 45 caliber ammo. Conclusion: smg is garbage.
Dude it's trash, it's the same as a pipe rifle, but more expensive. I could understand if it could do more headshot damage or had a mechanic that requires skill, but it doesn't. It's expensive garbage
The Cryolator's a good weapon, technically, but by the time you get it you're gonna have much better weapons and it doesn't do enough damage to warrant the scarcity of its ammo anyway. On my +15day character I've still not even got over 1k cryo cells for the damn thing. And I think the Spray N' Pray would be better if Submachine Guns didn't have such a trashy damage output in the first place. Seriously, they've got horrendous longevity as far as gameplay goes. I feel the pain with Smiling Larry - especially after Automatron came out since I never seem to get regular random encounters anymore, just robots. Plus, I never even met Larry, but my Scribe disappeared en route to Sanctuary.
It's not really a glitch. It's a scripted chance kind of thing. Basically it actually sends the NPC there on foot and it calculates it's chance of survival. Then it rolls the dice. Most of these merchants have trash gear, scribe most importantly does. This effect can be negated by walking with them there. But obviously they can still die. Hence save a lot on the way if you aren't in survival.
you mean like 15 days in real life? how do you play fallout 4 that much? I mean I played fallout 3 for almost 400 hours but I just cant get into fallout 4 for some reason.
Two-Shot will always be my favorite legendary effect. It makes every gun truly legendary. Gauss rifle, handmade rifle, Gatling laser & plasma rifle are my personal favorites
When I picked up the Spray and Pray, I haven't really needed other weapons. If you hit consistently with it, it drains enemies life like nobodies busyness. Even if you miss it still dose a bit of splash damage. Man, I tried to use a fat-man the other day and it was totally useless! Do you need to actually score a direct hit in order to hit with that thing?
Protip: aim for the legs And yeah spray and pray is amazing. I'm doing a pistol/auto build and I am swimming in .45 ammo anyways. When I finished a quest a few days ago I got bored so I attacked the institute. Like 200 synths spawned in the basement elevator room on accident and they couldn't get to me. I took the elevator down and mowed all of them down by just spraying. It was glorious.
Educationey thats not saying much. The BOS is piss easy. The institute was piss easy(again). The railroad was... I'm not even gonna bother its just shooting 30 adults who are stuck in the 1 kiddie pool. The minutemen are easy. Until you meet preston and ronnie. I hate essential people.
If we’re talking Survival, I agree that the Kiloton is the better choice than the Spray N Pray. For ammo weight alone. But not Survival difficulties? I’d stick with the SNP. Both guns will shred every enemy in the game, but the SNP will kill things faster than the Kiloton (by a small amount), and you don’t have to wait until you get to Far Harbor. Cricket is really easy to find, I’ve always ran into her on my way to Diamond City at the start of the game. Seriously, I’m not sure why the SNP was taking so long to kill enemies in the video. It is one of the most bonkers guns in the game. I actually stopped using it on my Commando run, because of how OP it was. I saved it for when I didn’t want to bother with a Legendary enemy normally.
With the reckoning, you kind of made a bad reason on why the WEAPON is bad. First off you even said the weapon is great, but the reason you dislike it is because the way you have to obtain the item. This list is about worst WEAPONS not on how you obtain them or find them. Its about the WEAPON
Yeah true. You are correct. He didn’t really talk about the weapon in such. But, he does have a point of how hard it is to get. And I can see why he’s complaining. But you are correct
Why the hell are the guns soo imbalanced in Fallout 4? like the Minigun and DLC weapons? It seems to me that Bethesda put most of their focus in to reducing bugs and instability in the game but overlooked actual content.
mayhem X9 What are you talking about? Fallout 4 is the most generic and worst value for money yet, I appreciate the time and effort they put in to the lore and (mostly) improved combat mechanics but not be greatful they dumbed it down and made your character entirely pre-set.
PurpleStorm8 so? This happens every time Bethesda release a game "it's different so I hate it" of course the last one seems better because that's the one you liked, I played nv and got bored and angry with the clunky, shitty mechanics and lack of depth. I don't see why people like you anticipate the next games in these series because you know you'll hate it, either because it's not a perfect clone of the last one or because it makes you feel supereor to everyone else
mayhem X9 I at LEAST expected it not to take a step backwards as a RPG and taking out entire mechanics. From such simple things such as regulating critical shots entirely to the use of VATS, gimping non-VATS users, removing the iconic Karma/Reputation system and pigeon-holing you to being a good, passionate family man/woman or that you lack freedom when it comes to quests, completing them in one way or that you can't jump ahead in the storyline like you could in FO3 where you go straight to the garage where the Tranquility Lounger is. I'm not saying FO4 is a bad game, I'm saying that it's a massive step-back and falls far below the bar the previous installments have set, removing features and pigeon-holing your character is counter to what the franchise is.
Idk, I think FO4 and FO3 both have similar levels of polish in that I did not encounter many game breaking bugs; but FO3 certainly had far more meaty DLCs.
A lot of the arguments made for these being bad is that better can exist if you are lucky. "Wouldn't you rather have an explosive minigun?" Applies to literally ANY WEAPON IN FO4. Yes, I would rather have an explosive minigun than anything else. You should judge weapons on what they do regularly rather than what other weapons can do if you are super lucky. Yes, Lucky Eddy can be annoying to use in a firefight due to reload times, but it's truly unique weapon effect makes it absolutely incredible due to it making the critical meter charge faster than the legendary effect (you don't need to use crits on the gun you charge it with), can mitigate chances of contracting Mole Rat Disease, makes you find more caps and more ammo, and increases your chances of getting pie from machines. No other weapon in FO4 does any of these.
HyperGaming Fallout 3 might be a little better than Fallout 4 because at least Fallout 3 tries to be an actual Fallout game with freedom and role-playing (even if it utterly fails at both of those things in my opinion). Fallout 4 just feels like a poor man's Borderlands 1. Fallout New Vegas still beats them both by a large margin because it has superior writing and actual role-playing.
Eileen Milligan I loved fallout four, but I feel it didn't give the most role playing and apocalypse feel, I agree with you there. I loved new Vegas , mainly for the map and the game play , and the story was incredibly well written, but I feel fallout 3, even though it's story was amazing (don't think it's as good as NV though) felt more like an apocalypse . I remember just setting a random point on the map and "wandering " (see what I did there? Lol) from point A to point B with my T 51 B power armor and Chinese assault rifle and dog meat , set up a place or building to camp , and walking out to find an Enclave patrol ready to attack . It just felt so much more immersing to me (I respect your opinion though ! )
Bethesda made a serious mistake with automatic weapons in this game. And for no real reason. If they wanted to balance them against semiautomatic they should have given them reduced accuracy and higher recoil. As is they're borderline useless in vanilla, and a downright detriment in survival considering how much ammo you have to haul around.
But the point is that it has the Ghoul Slayers perk which increases damage done to ghouls, but ghouls are resistant to rad damage so it's a useless legendary affect on a gamma gun
Scott Dally Depends, I think a mini-gun hits 8 times per second, whats the hit rate for a ripper? Actually come to think of it, why not both> mini-gun for medium and long range, and ripper for close range?
Overall the Ripper would be better, as it's 'fire rate' is faster, if you hold down right trigger it just constantly hits, so the bleed damage adds up stupidly fast, whilst the minigun 1. is a lot freaking heavier, 2. requires you to aim and is actually overall more inaccurate than most weapons, and with the fully upgraded ripper, you deal more damage with it than the minigun (which is kinda sad) cause it goes up to 15 (I'm pretty sure) and deals some damage of bleed ontop of the wounding, so, op af
nah mate, the Gatling Gun is probably the worst gun for a lot of people, me being one, ORD (Obsessive Reloading Disorder) having all those cores at 70-80% charge is just terrifying
I think the reason you don't like the zeta gun is because you don't understand the difference between the zeta's radiation DAMAGE and the normal rads of a gamma gun
this is a good video, you made some pretty good points, but I'm gonna have disagree with some of the things on the list, but i'm not gonna get butt hurt and dislike
Man, I rather Bethesda to end their saltiness towards Obsidian and remake Fallout New Vegas with the Fallout 4 engine. Also, I really wish they brought back "Weapon/Armor Conditions" and the Gun jam anims.
Really? I didn't mind except in Fallout 3... God I hated that system until New Vegas came with the weapon repair kits, Veronics/Ed-E with their workbench, that one guy at the Mojave Outpost who repairs any item to 100%, and best yet, Jury Riggin' Perk. I think condition gives unwanted weapons/armor more meaning and makes the game more dynamic. NV was pretty lenient with the conditions too.
why's that? I thought F3 was an "okay" game at first until Broken Steel came out. I felt like the DLCs for F3 weren't that great, and had little connection with the base game. Fallout New Vegas felt really good, vanilla story wise. The DLCs were pretty good too (except Dead Money, which has the worst gameplay with the collar and the toxic gas and ending). However, F3 triumphs FNV through Broken Steel by having free roam after the game is beaten.
Okay, the griping about the lever-action rifle's reloading cycle is getting stale. While do I agree that it looks a little odd, it's not a bug at all. Fallout 4's weapon reloading system makes it to where it throws in a full magazine of ammunition in one go. Would you say a triple or quad barreled missile launcher or the Broadsider with the multi-shot canister have "bugged" reload cycles? Hell, if we go with the bugged route, then technically all ranged weapons with a magazine capacity of at least two rounds would be "bugged" by that logic. We're used to interruptible reload cycles with various weapons in many games, but Fallout 4 just doesn't do it that way. Besides, it's just five shots; I'm sure you can find five raider heads to pop.
The Lever Action rifle reloading bug is definitely a bug. The lever action rifle's chamber holds 5 bullets, if there are (for example) 2/5 bullets in the chamber and you reload, the SS will reload 5 bullets every time even though they should be reloading 3. Your above argument doesn't make sense because the Lever Action rifle is reloaded with individual rounds while the Quad Barreled Missile Launcher is magazine loaded.
If you look at the ammunition counter, it does not replenish per round, only at the end of the reload animation. It's not a bug. Bethesda has indeed simply made an animation where you load all five rounds in the gun all the time, regardless of how much sense that makes, and there is only that animation because fuck you, that's why. It's a simplification of the reload cycle, similarly to how in many games you pump the shotgun after all reloads, which would eject a non-spent round if you were doing a non-empty reload; or to how in many games there is one model for both loaded and unloaded magazine and you either reload your gun with literally nothing, or you are tossing out a magazine full of ammo even if your gun is empty.
Krieg-99/305 Imagine shooting a shotgun twice and then loading 12 bullets into the gun and having 8 rounds in total inside the barrel. It is a glitch pure and simple. Bethesda fucked up and they aren't going to fix this bug.
It's not a glitch, because it is indeed intended to be that way, dipshit. It would've been a glitch if it was supposed to replenish the counter one by one round and instead it dropped it to zero and forced you through the entire reload cycle. Instead, it just has one animation that is a gross simplification of a reload cycle. Fucked up and made a stupid anim? Yes. Bug? Glitch? No. It's intended to be this way. Even the wiki says this. "No matter how many bullets are fired, the gun will always reload as if all 5 were used. *This is probably to the limitations of the Creation Engine and an oversight*, due to Bethesda not accounting for adding this type of weapon in an add-on." A few games actually do this, although they're usually shittier/lower budget/have other reasons. I recall a game called Earth Defense Force 4.1 where, for example, if you have a pump action shotgun and fire once or twice the reload cycle is still as long as if you've spent all of your ammunition. Is that a bug? No, it's not, because the devs just made a single animation to reload for the entire magazine of ammo and the game does not allow you to "top up" one by one. It's not a bug, because it's not the game functioning in an uninteded way - in fact, it's the opposite, since it's functioning exactly as intended. Seriously, is it so hard to fucking understand? The animation is wrong, unrealistic and stupid, yes, guns do not work that way. However, it is *not* a fucking glitch, because it's not working wrong in terms of how it was programmed by the devs.
Krieg-99/305 If you'd explained it like this earlier I would have understood what you meant quicker, from what i read before it sounded like you were saying it should reload like this and I should just accept that. I'm sorry for dragging this out for this long, can we just agree that it's an issue that Bethesda needs to fix?
Smiling Larry is currently working on my store without any mods or console commands. I'm aware the settlements are full of bugs but if it is only a possibility of happening you can't go claiming things are impossible to do if many people might not have that issue and now might think they have no chance of getting it. The fact it requires 4 perk point investments to make level 3 stores and that meeting Smiling Larry is a random event that might potentially fail if you don't help protect him should be the bad parts, not fear mongering bugs. Also the mindset of "wouldn't you rather have..." yes, so when such a thing drops you would remove the mods from the previous one and put them on the new one. It's called an upgrade.
Talk about triggering... I just remembered how many times my idiot crewmembers would step on landmines w/ that game's godforsaken POS A.I. AAAARGGH /but yeah it was a pretty fun weapon //too bad the game was a botched programming effort
Tutorial on a guaranteed way to get the Spray n' Pray: Cricket will ALWAYS be outside of Vault 81 on the first night of the game. My strategy is to go to the Robotics Disposal place and blow up the robot to get his fusion cores, grab the fat man, comic, and mini nuke from there, the go to the Concord Speakeasy, grab the 2 x-cell, 2 daytripper, and 2 gwinnett stout there. Also throughout your entire adventure from Sanctuary to Vault 81, pick up any charisma boosting gear you find, one thing of mentats, and one bottle of whiskey, along with 2 hubflowers. This part is CRUCIAL. After you help Preston (which I highly recommend doing and not skipping, because of the amount of ammo and weapons you can sell), go to the Drumlin Diner and kill the raiders outside and loot them, then talk to the woman inside. She will give you a bit of caps. At this point, you should be nearing carrying capacity if in the power armor you found in Concord. Sell only what you need to drop below carrying capacity to the woman there, go to the Starlight Drive-in, and in the storage room behind the screen, behind a novice locked door, there will be a fusion core. Grab that, and start to head towards Vault 81. Look for when your fusion core starts to run low. As soon as it tells you it is running low, take it out and switch it. You can sprint the entire way, so long as you pay attention to your energy levels. You should have a total of 4 fusion cores (5 if you stopped at Red Rocket and cleared out the mole rat den), which we will use to get in to Vault 81. Now is when you need to decide: Overseer's Guardian or Spray n' Pray. I personally choose Spray n' Pray, because it is fully modified and does more damage at the beginning of the game than Overseer's Guardian, but because we have enough fusion cores, buy Spray n' Pray, open Vault 81, and save Overseer's Guardian for later. Once you get close to Vault 81, there will be an unmarked traders shack north of it, near the road on the map. Go inside, loot the corpse, take the daytripper under the counter, unlock the door, take the pre-war money from behind one of the plant pots, take the other daytripper from the chem station, then use the chem station to make grape mentats. You are now prepared to go to Vault 81. Continue south until you discover Vault 81. Now, once you see Cricket, take off your power armor, then remove all the pieces, put on all your Charisma boosting gear, use daytripper, grape mentats, gwinnett stout, and x-cell, then talk to Cricket. Sell everything you don't need, and you should have enough money to buy the Spray n' Pray, which will be around 1800 caps. Now, you could use the fusion cores you have to gain access to Vault 81, thus granting access to Overseer's Guardian for later. You're welcome! If you ever need to pause the game for whatever reason during this process, hit Esc, not tab! Esc actually pauses the day night cycle, while tab does not.
Weird. It might be with a new update or only pc (idk) but I found Reckoning on a metal table, it was at West Everett Estates next to (to the right ) the Taffington Boathouse.
Honestly the laser musket kicks ass as a weapon. I got one that does Double Damage if the enemy is at full health, so I put a scope on it and made is Six Crank, then sneaked and gave it a crit. The resulting damage one-shots or nearly one shots so many enemies, even with no investment into the "laser weapons" perk tree. If it didn't kill them in one shot, then it did enough damage that my other weapons could easily take care of the rest of it. Also I'm pretty sure the Acid Soaker is a support weapon. Spray with acid, switch to a better weapon to take advantage of the DoT and lower Damage Resistance.
Spray n pray its a really good weapon if you have the right perks with you,i have max out commando perk and know its the damage is 76 per one shot.and if that wasn't enough the gun has amazing fire rate, which is can just destroy strong enemy really fast.i guess you're wrong there.
Put that legendary on a weapon you want to use, like a custom modded one. 2 mods to help: 1 - Legendary Effect Detach Mods by Draco1122 For Xbox One DLC Version 2 - UCO Unlocked Clothing Overhaul I have tested both, and seem to work flawlessly. The only mod that has not worked is the "Hitman's" legendary weapon mod that adds 10% aimed damage on a MP7 from Modern Weapons Tactical.
Syringer and acid gun can guarantee you get people to jump out of power armor before the fusion core explodes so you get the frame every time without them dying and losing the frame
I modded fallout and now have macho man randy savage versions of deathclaws I fucking love this game, also I think of the acid soaker as the infection from Borderlands 2
Problems finding a certain kind of ammo? try one of these mods 1 - DLC Ammo Leveled List 2 - Scrounger Expanded - DLC (Xbox One) I have tested the DLC Ammo Leveled List and have no need for the 2nd Scrounger Expanded - DLC. Ammo will start showing up based on level around the time it would in a DLC area, but will have a chance to spawn on all enemies, ammo boxes, and looted containers.
You can ask dogmeat to Bring you the the cryolator... But it really isnt a good weap because in the time you froze someone you also can kill him and really big enemies Like swan or deathclaws need a rellay Long time to be freezed
Maybe the gainer would be good if you were actually firing at their head. This and the spray and pray are some of the best guns in the game and the only reason why they are on this list is because of vynylics biased opinion
Tbh, the only reason why I keep the Submachine Rifles, is because I like Building the Settlement in F4, and I plan on making a place in Sanctuary, that will essentially be a Gang HQ. So those Tommy Guns fit perfectly into it. Other than that, it's good to use it early in the game, but later it becomes less usefull, because of how Low the damage is...
Defiant Rocket launcher. Double damage for the last shot in the magazine. one barrel. EZ (It would also appear you don't have the heavy weapons perk because those rockets did next to no damage, sir.)
That spray and pray footage almost gave me an aneurism The same .45 ammo can be used with my overseers guardian and would have killed both raiders with half a clip left in the gun Automatic weapons are such a waste of ammo Unless it’s a Gatling laser
Can't get that full auto and silenced at level 10 though. Imo Spray and Pray is a good stepping stone until you can pimp out the kiloton rifle at a higher level.
This is why people should always modify the base damage multiplier. I've made it so that 1-3 shots kill a normal human being (both you and NPC), shot to the chest / neck / head kills every time. Power armors have a lot more DR but break down easier. No more peashooters and boring fire fights.
The acid soaker more than likely was a nod to Fallout Tactics. In that game, you can find a Super Soaker style weapon that shoots acid. If I remember correctly, it wasn't easy to find, but made a HUGE difference later in the game, when you had to fight robots. Of course, in Tactics, it was a way better weapon than the one in Nuka World, as it didn't have those costs. The downside was ammo being very limited.
With the exception of the reckoning, i own all these weapons just for the sake of collecting all named items, and for weapons and armor that for whatever reason i'm incapable of getting, like the reckoning, i'm okay just renaming the base weapons i get that have the same legendary effect, it's the closest i can get to fulfilling my collection addiction I'm also the kind of player that wants to maximize damage for all weapons, so i usually end up having every damage increasing perk with the sole exception to the punching weapons attack damage perk by the time i make it to say level 80, the reason i do so is because i like to create my own "unique" weapons, i ended up getting a two shot gauss rifle in one playthrough that i fully upgraded and named "Punchline" because it really packed a punch.
IDK if this was a glitch or not but I found the Reckoning in Diamond city at one of the merchants. (I think is was the surplus) That when the girl was working and I saw it for like around 500 caps.
I actually agree on the Spray and pray given that for the price you can get the Overseer's Guardian instead that uses the same ammo and has a hell of a lot more damage.
A major problem with the wepons that do bonus damage is its a set number so at high levels the bonus does fuck all if it was say intead of 15 incendiary damage it did a bonus 15% incendiary it would scale alot better.
