The building to building jump in "Furious 7" was first done in "Black Moon Rising" from 1986. The stunt driver who drove the Bluesmobile launching out of Lower Wacker Drive in Chicago to hit the police car's emergency lights initially told Dan Ackroyd that he could launch out of the ramp but probably not clear the squad car. Ackroyd told the driver he'd give him $1000 if he could clear the car and hit the lights. Sure enough...

In a scene cut from the original movie (but available as an "extra" in some special edition DVDs) Elwood parks the "Bluesmobile" in an electrical sub-station near his home. The car's seemingly "special powers" are inferred by whatever special energy it absorbs from the large humming transformers nearby. I think 2 WTF moments missing from the list are the "barrel roll" jump from the 1974 Bond movie "The Man with the Golden Gun" and the rocket car jump from Burt Reynold's 1978 movie "Hooper"

To: Duke Craig-- I feel you, Brother. While I never learned or rode a motorcycle, I will never understand why people buy NEW vehicles and WON'T or don't use turn signals! I've been driving legally since 1978 when I was 18, but it seems to me that people get their license from Cracker Jack boxes or some type of Vending Machine. No consideration for anyone! But on the flip side, their are cyclists who do crazy things with those Crotch Rockets too which I have seen up close riding in my Jeep! I'm not saying that it's you, but there are Idiots driving idiotic no matter what the size, 2, 4 or 18 wheels.

@@derricklogan2058 I know, I'm constantly shaking my head in traffic watching people turn without using their turn signals and everytime I see it I think to myself "You know that's not a dealer installed option, it's original equipment for a reason". What's probably even worse are people who put their turn signals on just as they start to turn, in that case I think to myself "Well it's a little late for that, I've already figured out what you're doing".

I've never seen the movie Christine, but the more I see about it, the more I'm glad I read the book instead. It sounds so much more underwhelming as a movie. Reading, the spider crack on the windshield got smaller... is strange. Hearing about Arnie having back pains only to find out he pushed the car and it healed as it was in motion. The shop owner Arnie's been working illegal jobs on the side for, witnessing the car driving into the shop and then inspecting it to see Arnie was never there... To the ungodly way it leveled a house, and pursued the bullies in a Camaro without so much as sliding through the corner... Well, just read the book, it's terrifying and captivating even for a person who doesn't typically read books.

Black Moon Rising; an all but forgotten 1986 film written by John Carpenter (partially), starring Linda Hamilton, Tommy Lee Jones and Richard Jaeckel; in the climatic scene they jump a car from one high rise building to another 30 floors up (and way before Fast & Furious did it). The vehicle was a Canadian concept car and the movie is definitely a child of the 80's but it's a fun popcorn movie and that stunt is cool.

They had 10 Plymouth furies in Christine. 4 were 57s with the big and small headlights. They were all painted Ford red and white. 1 was the clunker Arnie first buys. 3 had the paint schemes so it looked like the car was repainting itself. The wrecked ones in different scenes were used in the scenes where Christine is demolished or hit .Only one was in great condition. The rebuilding scene itself was shot in reverse so it would look like was fixing itself.

The entire chase sequence in the film "Short Time" was filmed in and around Vancouver British Columbia Canada. The section featuring the double decked road, is Front Street in New Westminster. The section of Front used is also know as Antiques Alley and is less than 1/4 mile long, and they made multiple runs from different angles to get it all in. 6:42 I am french and I know the " Taxi " Peugot 406 background well. The 406 was a Supertouring champion Car at that time an won championship all over europe, performed very well in England ( Featured also in first Toca Race games ). The Peugeot was surprising because like in the film it went superior on german competiting cars... Which is unusual ! But since Group B in Rally, Peugeot shown particular skills over german cars in competition. In Taxi, the car as an actual modified Supertouring bodykit with wheels so a genuine racing look ! In the movie it says that the Car is equiped with the V6 that was a very capable engine but with a bit low rpm and low end torque ( more a highway cruising engine capable of towing caravans ) ... But in fact for the highway chases they actually used a real Supertouring model equiped the 1.9L 16v inline 4 Peugeot racing engine that is prepared to achieve more than 300 hp at screaming rpms ! Engine noise in the movies are the genuine one for this engine. So " Taxi " ( especially the first film) is actually a legitimate featuring race car with real power skills !

Strangely didn't make the list but honourable mention should go to at least a couple of scenes from 'The Car', one where it flies through Lauren's house - stunning scene - and the other where the car spins, flips and tumbles over the two police cars, a genuine non-CGI stunt that really does deserve a WTF moment!

"Ronin" best car chase scene in a movie - I would think a guy whipping out an RPG would have made a WTF moment but hey your list bud, a good one "The Great Escape" best motorcycle scene in a movie Some other added moments............. I would also include DMX on the 4 wheeler - forget the movie name Sly in Demolition Man 2 great wtf scenes in that movie involving cars. The police chase from the 5th Element. Initial D live action that Evo(3rd gen) wreck, actually that movie was amazing but the entire thing is WTF, give it a watch. Include Death Race with Statham, and some of the transporter movie scenes as well. Swartzy Taxi scene from Total Recall Car chase scene in War the classic Statham car versus Jet Li in a Spyker C8. Deadpool - SUV scene Doomsday - Bentley scenes Mad Max entire racing in all the movies Escape from NY - had some interesting moments including the sequel

I don't know if you have ever covered it on this channel, but in the early 2000s, BMW put out a series of short films featuring Clive Owen as a reckless personal driver. They are essentially long commercials, but the driving is very impressive, especially funny is the one directed by Luc Besson with Madonna as a spoiled celebrity getting the ride of her life
@deezer5150

That particular entry was directed by Guy Ritchie. Incidentally he was her husband at the time.

I'm almost surprised you didn't include the movie Collision Course. No, not the Crocodile Hunter movie, the one with Jay Leno and Pat Morita tearing around in a gold Toyota Tercel hatchback with an experimental turbocharger. Also, Pat Morita jump-kicking the driver of a moving car through the windshield.

I used to work on a 74 Monaco that was supposed to be an original bluesmobile. Had the 360, megaphone speaker on top, and ran and drove but was basically a shitbox. Owner that sucked at being a blues brother claimed it had 634,000 miles. Old hoopty ran pretty good but the guy ran it like a teenager, full throttle leaving a light, just ragged it to death. I live in the myrtle Beach area, this is not the same car on 38th Avenue at the old planet Hollywood, can't remember what its called now. TTldr, used to wrench on supposed bluesmobile 5, it was enough of a shitbox to be a stunt car, have no concrete proof it was a movie car, owner claimed to have a pic of the car with Dan Aykroyd, claimed to have a hat of the same size worn by John bbelushi, car looked authentic, might all be an elaborate story.

I don't think so. This came out almost the same time the Simpsons came out. And since the production happened about the same time the Simpsons went to tv and got their own show, I think it was all a coincidence as the Simpsons was not a massive hit right away. But yeah, hell of a name to have at that time.

The chase scene with Stuntman Mike in the 1971 Dodge Charger and the woman on the hood of the 1970 Dodge Challenger in Death Proof should be here. Also the scene where Stuntman Mike crashes the 1971 Chevy Nova head-on with the Honda Civic and scraping that chicks face off with the tire.

Just started watching the vid. At #10 RN. Hope Maximum Overdrive makes the list. Heck the Ice Cream truck "My-T Tas-T" and the "Happy Toyz" truck are great. "Happy Toyz" had Green Goblin on the front of the truck. Literally. His face at least.
