@@automotiveterritory The tank. The way they have positioned the tank, shape and hight. There's no flow especially for a cruiser type of bike. Lowering the seat is the normal way, Harley, Indian, all except the European manufacturers do that in order to keep the tank low. The Europeans put the seat and the tank on the same level and this designs has a few advantages. I rode a bike like it and it rode well, Honda reliability but I just don't like the tank position. Everything else on the bike is perfectly fine. Sorry for the long response, just curious if others feel the same way.
after having seen it in person i like it, that being said that is why we have different bikes, modifications, and custom shops :) I do think if it had the tank off the 500 it would look good
It's been a while since we revisited the topic of bobber motorcycles. Here is the updated lineup of new production and custom models for 2022. Which of these is your favorite?
NEWSFLASH: These "new models" ain't bobbers. Bobbers, BY DEFINITION, are factor bikes which have been taken to your garage and hand customized by the owners IN THEIR GARAGES, removing any and all unecessary parts, to lighten the bike and make it pure functionary. No chrome, No trinkets. No rear view. No nothing but the bare essentials. THESE, by contrast, are literally FACTORY MODELS. For them to be REAL BOBBERS, the buyer would have to take THESE into their garages and start ripping off parts. In other words, this is bullshit.
Yeah, but bobbers from back in the day needed to do that to gain power and speed. With today's technology, no need to rip off parts as the engines themselves do that on their own. With that said, I have a Triumph Bobber and ripped off the fenders, lights, and airbox to which I consider it a real bobber :)
no it isnt you nitwit. In fact none of these models are. Heres a little motorcycle history. Its originally called a BOBJOB. It refers or refered to the rear fender. What builders did was remove the front fender. Put it on the rear BACKWARDS thus creating that bobbed look. Now its called a bobber. WTF. Just like now they call bikes with saddlebags baggers. Nope . Way back in the day it was called a DRESSER . Or a FULL DRESS bike.
@@chopperchopster history is history that's what they are now. Factory bobbers just like the factory scramblers and cafe racers. This isn't 1960 and you don't have to build bikes from scratch anymore r+ard
