You know, it's kind of neat to see actual hidden gems in the "hidden gems" video. Gets a bit tiring after a while when some other youtubers put the same three titles everyone already knows about and often games of Zelda stature on these listd.
Thanks a lot. Yeah, I tried to really dig deep for this video. When I do a hidden gem video I really try find the best hidden gem games. It's hard to find good games nobody knows about but I'm very happy that people find these lists helpful. ❤️
Right loz is as far from being a hidden gem as possible I don't think those ppl know what a hidden gem actually is or they have just discovered Nintendo for the first time and have been living under a rock for the last thirty odd years lol
Yeah, Legend of Legacy is fairly priced I would say is "cheap" but considering is a niche not well known Atlus game, I would say is much better priced than other used Atlus games.
Yup, played most of these, but not Maple Story-that one looks great! And one that I’ll never play is Culdcept. I had the misfortune of trying to get into an earlier version on the PS2 several years ago. It’s definitely an acquired taste. Now you might think I’m tasteless, but I do thoroughly enjoy Sega 3D Classics Collection, featuring 9 arcade games with something for everyone-shmups, puzzle, racing and even Sonic! Oh yeah!
Glad you mentioned Legend of Legacy, but you should also have mentioned it's sequel Alliance Alive. The gameplay is a bit better, AND has a heavier emphasis on the story.
@@richardklein1167 It's the same. It's not the same world, but still a sequel. Like the Final Fantasy series. These two games are made in the spirit of the SaGa franchise. I think it's safe to say Legend of Legacy and Alliance Alive are the same franchise.
@@moisescorral8297 It's not a sequel, nor is it intended to be. At best, that's a follow-up. The devs did an original game specifically because they _did not_ want it to be a sequel to Legend of Legacy. The games in the Final Fantasy series are explicitly not sequels either, excepting X-2, XIII-2 and the like.
@@Just.Kidding idgaf You know what I meant. The same way FF2 and FF7 are still within the same franchise, it makes sense to say Legend of Legacy and Alliance Alive are a franchise.
The dark web hahahaha. Jokes a side, I find these like everyone else: word of mouth, internet and so on... These videos usually take a lot of research. I look up other people's suggestions, look up Reddit, forums, Twitter, RU-vid... Then I look my own game collection and if I can find a rare, not so popular but very good game and yeah, that's how I made these videos.
You've gotta' be the first person to put Legend of Legacy in their top list. I own it and while the art and music are great, the game itself isn't that good and I've yet to finish it.
Yeah is a very interesting game. Is more about reading your enemies movements and dodge at the right time before attacking, it really feels like you are a Samurai in a 1 vs 1 duel.
If you like Justice Chronicles, it's also available on mobile. The mobile versions of kemco games, when available, are usually cheaper than their console versions. Adventure Bar Story is also available on mobile, but kemco also helped bring a couple similar games - Marenian Tavern Story and Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom - over here, also on mobile. The best part is that kemco didn't actually make those games, which is why they're higher quality than kemco's normal fare. (Kemco isn't bad. I'd even say they're downright good for a mobile game. But we all know their games are mid-tier at best.) So yeah, if money is an issue, check out the mobile versions and maybe you can save a few bucks.
That's a DS game, I didn't want to include remasters (if possible). Also I think there are better horror games on the DS like Theresia, in my opinion you can disagree if you want to.
@@huskymirai5824 Not all games only the I think 2 Japanese games absolutely require a modded system to be played with fan translation. Ohhh and maybe 1 or 2 games that are exclusive to the 3DS E-Shop but that should be a given because you can't buy games online anymore. Every other game that is available on a physical cartridge can be enjoyed without modding.
@@Official_RetroMania Yeah I was playing the PlayStation vita version last night and I don’t know if something sticks out to me about the 3DS version I think I like it better?!
@@turismofoegaming8806 The biggest differences are that the 3DS has the 3D feature if that's something you care about (if you own a 3DS and not a 2DS) beisdes that I don't think there are many big changes... The game is on 2 screens so you can navigate the game easier... But I think both ports are great, so it depends more on what system you prefer playing on.
@@Official_RetroMania And that case I might just keep playing the vita version since it’s easier to hold?? But I can still download the corpse party on the 3DS though, So that’s a plus
Wait, wait, did you just call the Souls games "fighting games"? That are _"just button mashers"?_ My man. Also, for the love of god, balance your fucking audio, all the transition songs have reduced my eardrums to limp mush, and i wasn't even wearing headphones.
@@Just.Kidding I said warriors Musou games are button mashers what they are, I never mentioned Souls in this video. When it comes to audio I think my newer videos are better, I usually don't think about earphone users when I make my videos.
