They are put in a hibernation-like state before being put in the box. Please do research before commenting. Also, crabs physically cannot feel pain. They are creatires who do not count as pets or things that can love you back, feel love, feel pain, feel emotion, and barely think. They are just creatures. Therefore, *not* animal abuse.

Not that I agree with the crab vending machine but the crabs are kept in a dormant state which means the are not conscious. Like I said I definitely don't agree with it at all. But there are a lot worse ideas for vending machines like for example the used panties vending machines in Japan.
in my home country (Slovenia) in my hometown (Celje) we do have a milk machine outside one of the Tuš (it's pronounced TOOSH) market in the Glazija area, it's very close to our school (krap😨). I even realized that the first picture you showed us has slovenian writings on them 😃😃
