@@lawandawhite8469 never had one, 6 months but had a attorney a SSDI he was free. If you call around you can find a free one to help you out, if your case is bad. I have,cancer so my case,was ease for him.
@@963ag Hi Ann I do understand that and I worked hard all my life, and wanted to make sure I so I put more in my SS when I retired, but I got cancer at the age of 63, I have advanced stage four cancer. Now I will be 65 next week. I would like to go back to work soon if I can. Hope they will take out more Taxes so I can get more on SSDI next year.
@@wesdann887 I am sorry to hear that, I hope that you get better and achieve the things you desire. It is terrible how our government treats its seniors and disabled... With inflation so high - affecting everything, food and rent, SSDI, SSI, and social security should be a decent amount - instead of so low.
@@963ag Hi Ann I know I have some friends that they were Vets to give up their lives for us and I make more money then them, that is B S how the Government treats all of us, that are on SS. I pay a lot to my Doctors to keep me going. So the money I make goes to them. Gave a great night Ann and may God bless you too.

It seems like in 2023, many politicians are talking about cutting programs for seniors and the disabled - SNAP, Medicaid and Medicare, and even Social Security is in jeopardy! Yes there is SSI you can make more but you can't have more then 2 thousand in anything, SSDI you have to many a lot less money but you can have more that that they won't take a way, like a house or a new car

Can someone please provide me some clarity on D.L.I in reference to SSDI! I’m a 100% veteran and I just recently late last year was approved for SSDI. I receive my lump sum from Retro pay already and my first payment will be this month (Jan). On this letter, under the subtitle of “findings of fact and conclusions of law”, it says on number 1. The claimants date last insured is December 31, 2025. Number two says the date that I have not engaged in substantial gainful activity. Will there be a review in 2025? Will my disability benefits be cut off after that date? Can somebody who is knowledgeable in this area please advise me on what this means? I’ve also been told from other veterans that are as of the same status as I, that have been receiving SSDI for a while, that after that DLI date, their benefits kept going. Not sure if they’ve had a review though. Thanks
