Like a lot of Rick's regular viewers I'm about the same age as Rick. As I was listening to this countdown, it just occurred to me how lucky I was to be alive and listening to all of these songs when they were released. There's not a lot of great things about getting to be this age in life, but it really is a blessing to be able to think back about the times in your life when these songs were first popular on the radio.

Great performance but lets be honest, this incredible singer has more pronounced bass in his voice than Phil does - and it sounds great, but its more "Michael Bolton does Phil Collins" than a clone of Phil.

Yeah I thought that he was the best. They're all great singers but the dude in the hat was a little cringey to me with the facial expressions and head tilting. That's just not my thing but the actual vocals were good though.

Rick, I am SO incredibly impressed by you. I'm 57 so we're pretty close age-wise. I am an aspiring guitarist who, after dabbling for a long time took it up very seriously last year. Your instruction is fantastic and your countdowns are incredibly well thought out and entertaining. I probably would have had Angie on this list but whatever. It's a great rendition, but as a Phil fan (well more Genesis) it's a way off sounding like him :) Phil's voice badly underrated imo, managed to sing Gabriel's Genesis tunes better than Gabriel did.

I can imagine how difficult this endeavor was for you. Remote singers, playing piano, guitar, bass and other drums etc.. Filming yourself doing it and putting all of it together seamlessly. Was thinking the same thing. Mark's almost spoken vocal delivery isn't quite up there with most of the others in the ballad list but that guitar tone and his story telling most certainly are. All I do is miss you through the bars of a rhyme. Some great imagery there. Juliet says he it's Romeo you nearly gave me a heart attack, such a funny lyric in the same song. Maybe not in Rick's list but his list made me think of this great song. So that is a positive for me!

I just recently found your station and it is all ready at the too of my playlist. Have you four ever considered starting your own band? You all play so well on virtually every instrument and your voices are phenomenal! Please consider it and you will have your first fan right here. There is only one song I would add to this list and I’m afraid it would have to be at number one. “Faithfully” by Journey! The only other song I think you forgot is by an mega band of the 70’s and 80’s that I never hear you talk about and I would really like to see a segment on them. The group is Styx and the song is “Come Sail Away”! If you have ever been to one of their live shows, then you know what I’m talking about! Keep up the amazing work!!!

Going through my late father's cd's, I came across one he had written, titled "Best rock ballads". His choices were the following: Child in time by Deep Purple Send me an angel by The Scorpions Feels good to me by Black Sabbath Heartbreak station by Cinderella Edie by The Cult Soldier of fortune by Deep Purple Belladonna by UFO Believe in love by The Scorpions Dying for love by Black Sabbath Stairway to heaven by Led Zeppelin You make me feel by Bonfire November rain by Guns'n'Roses When a blind man cries by Deep Purple Nothing else matters by Metallica You could say that it brought to me exposure to artists I at the time hadn't even heard of and got me interested in going through the work of both the ones I just discovered and others I thought I knew. So I thought I'd share it.

That was an epic line up. Rick even rockin' the backing vocals as well as flawless instrument playing. Those three vocalist are just amazing. I have never heard of any of them. Well. That's something that can be remedied with RU-vid, Google and iTunes...
