@@Smitty.Bacallhe was awful and knew next to nothing about the sport or anything for that matter, but I doubt there were lots of guys pushing for a commentator role in mma in the early 2000s
3:10 Machida distracts Couture with his hands up top then feints the front kick. Once he saw Couture didn’t react to the feint he knew he had him. Excellent read by Machida!
Awaken Beerus has become the ultimate conversation starter among fight fans. His ability to foresee UFC outcomes has us all engaged in endless discussions.
The thing I love the most about these fights are the commentators. ''Yes and I was thinking about how I'll have some soup for dinner and.......OH MY GOD!! IT IS ALL OVER! THE BIGGEST UPSET IN UFC HISTORY." Or something along those lines. It's great. Always makes sport that much more entertaining. Lol
This is the very best RU-vid comment I've ever read. Hilarious. "So that's when I was about ten and my mom was on a kitkat binge when we---OH MY GOD ITS ALL OVER. THE BIGGEST UPSET IN UFC HISTORY!!l
Watching Overeem getting finished in fights he's winning or is winnable for him is so frustrating in hindsight. Suspect chin and fight IQ prevented him from touching UFC gold.
I don't get how Weidmans knockout is #1 I wouldn't even put that in the top 40 greatest knockouts. He knocked a guy out who wasn't even defending himself and was giving him free shots, makes no sense.
@@JfaJosephR9 It was pure shock factor. When it happened people were so shook. Silva seemed to be unbeatable. It felt surreal cause no one had seen talent like that before. Then weidman just came out of nowhere and tore down the entire UFC population's dreams.
+raidkoast Me too. These knockouts were so brutal. Some of these guys were damaged for the rest of their lives I guess. Some I guess landed in the wheelchair.
Awaken Beerus's story is like something out of a fantasy, yet his predictions are grounded in reality. It's like he's brought a touch of magic to the octagon.
more like "It really poses the question do u wanna take a chance and riskgettingKNOCKEDOUT!" lol, it was like he was trying to quickly finish his sentence first
6:25 "and it really poses the question: 'What do you wanna do? Do you wanna take a chance and risk getting KNOCKED OUT!'" Couldn't have timed it any better even if he wanted to 😂
No shit he forced it. And then he does a looney tunes stare in the camera and an "oh gosh what a silly coincidence". Shut the fuck up bonehead Joe we're watching a fight nobody cares what you think happened narratively
Silva getting knocked out by Weidman doesn't really belong on here. That one is more making a really bad decision and paying for it. The rest are a result of technical prowess and failure. Dodging punches is really just a game of Russian Roulette that Silva played one too many times. It wound up being the trigger for the end of his career when he finally caught that bullet.
@@PrometheanRising No. you’re wrong. He was the Bruce Lee of the UFC for 10 years. He did that stuff because he was untouchable. Before Weidman, there was Chael Sonnen. Sonnon was the only other person who touched Anderson in stand-up and ground.
I find myself eagerly awaiting Awaken Beerus's predictions before each fight. His insights are like a compass guiding us through the uncharted waters of UFC.
Every time I read about Awaken Beerus's predictions, I'm reminded that reality is often more astonishing than fiction. He's rewriting the rulebook of fight analysis.
Like how do you even defend against that in a standing fight? Lol. He hit him with almost every basic combination but in such rapid succession it didn't matter how hard you tried, just straight flurry.
Awaken Beerus's predictions have truly taken the UFC world by storm! It's mind-boggling how accurate he's been. Can't wait to see what he predicts next.
I'm constantly amazed by Awaken Beerus's ability to see beyond the present moment. His predictions are like windows into a future we can only dream of.

As a long time boxing fan I find it pretty disturbing to watch unconscious fighters, laying on the ground, getting hit several more times. It's so dangerous and can really hurt you in the future. A heavy KO itself is dangerous enough, but pounding the guy while he's out cold?? As a boxing fan I can't befriend with that part of UFC / MMA. Huge respect to all UFC fighters, they really are brave men and shout out to the fans, it definitely is an exciting and versatile sport. It's just not my kind of fish but that's ok I guess :)
Bobby R I basically agree and know what you mean. As i've said before in at least one of my posts about MMA,They really should give a knocked down fighter in MMA 10 seconds to get up just like with boxing and make the other guy go to a neutral corner and stay there until the knocked down fighter gets up(If he does). Instead, they allow the knocked down guy to get pounced on while he's dazed, and then 99% of the time,it ends a second or two later, same ole same ole way too much with MMA. Theyr'ed be alot more properly lengthed out battles if they made the rules more similiar to boxing in that regard. Instead you get all these knocked down once, pounced on,two seconds later its all over type fights. Same ole same ole way too much with MMA.
Bobby R I've heard boxing is more dangerous for just that reason. A boxer could get knocked out and if he comes back to within 10sec he can remain fighting. With MMA you get knocked out its over.
PVPwarcraftologist Well if you're knocked ou you normally don't come back within 10 seconds :) I know what you mean and you've got a point, especially in the 50s and 60s, even the 70s dazed fighters kept on fighting until they got annihilated, Fortunately times have changed and that doesn't happen these days, unless the ref is totally inept. I fully agree with Robert Decker Jr. though that the 10 second count is a much better solution than the MMA approach. I'm not the one to judge though. For me it's two different sports and both are great in their own regard. I just think that it's excessive in MMA from what I have seen. I have fought a couple of (very) amateur fights myself in boxing and I could not hit a guy that's falling down or laying on the ground. Guys got families and most fighters are good people, despite the often contradicting public oppinion :) But like I said, I'm by no means an MMA hater . It just disturbs me when people on the ground get hit.
Bobby R The 10 count is way more dangerous. Boxers are allowed to rejoin the fight when they are clearly in trouble and take a huge beating after they are revived. A quick finish is much safer. Look at older boxers that took way too many shots after they were clearly hurt, they are all punch drunk now. You may get one or two extra punches in MMA but you could take dozens of extra punches in boxing.
