That scene in the Salem's Lot fucked me up soooo bad when I was a little kid, it still gives me chills today... But his reaction to Nosferatu popping up, HAHAHAH! That shit kills me! XD
That movie scared me silly too - not this scene as much as the scene where the old teacher hears the noise upstairs, or when the Nosferatu guy visits the kid’s family, or the bus driver goes out to his bus at night, or...
Carrie, I knew you would list that in. I know for a fact that my dad is the first person as a kid to jump out of his seat terrified while everyone laughs at him.
The lawnmower scene from Sinister and the hospital scene from The Exorcist 3 scare the hell out of me every single time. I know it's coming but it still makes me jump out of my seat.
Arash heshmatullah i mean watch insidious three youll be like ... mom can i go poo on your floor im scared to go to the bathroom actually can i poo on your bed?

Great scene with Dreyfuss making that discovery. The only problem with that scene is there is little chance a fisherman could get attacked by a huge shark and wind up inside the hull of his boat. Unless the implication is the shark sank the boat, then wormed its way inside the sinking hull, bit him into pieces, then left.
5:30 I literally sat here skeptical and said "The Dark Knight? Like Batman? What kind of Jump-scare do they have? Batman slamming against the window?' Then the scene appeared and I laughed so hard it hurt my throat XD
Dude the original friday the 13th final scene jump scare is SOOOOOO GOOD!! It gets EVERYONE. I remember the first time I introduced Friday the 13th to my girlfriend we naturally watched the first movie. Of course, I knew what was coming but she thought it was all over. She just happened to be asking me "do they ever explain what happened to the kid?" and before she could finish, Jason jumped out of the water. She spazed and she let out the most genuine scream I have ever heard anyone make watching a horror movie. She went "JESUS-FUCKING CHIRST" and finally calmed down. we laughed for minutes about it but I will never forget that awesome reaction from such an awesome and well timed jump scare
This is a good list. Have you seen the Exorcist? I remember the scene where the Reagan-demon hits Father Karras on the back - that generated quite a few loud screams in the theater. Of course, that whole movie was one big jump scare LoL.
Oh, it was scary, trust me. I saw it on the big screen on opening night in 1980, I was sixteen. It generated one of those popcorn flyin', seat kickin' screams from the audience LoL. Nobody saw it coming - the whole theater erupted. It didn't quite match but came close to the Jaws scene scream - THAT was definitely number one.

OMG I remember watching that "The Ring" scene at my best friend house in 10th grade. I was scared ASF to walk home that night 🤣 that made my heart almost explode!
Pretty good list and nice mix. # 18 totally got me. I never scare easy or jump, but that one literally made me scream and jump out of my seat about a foot. No movie had ever done that to me, and for that one scene alone, I give the Descent kudos!
That jump scare in The Dark Knight, I don't care who you are that made you jump out of your skin the first time you watched it lol! Completely unexpected
the blood jump scare from the thing is one of the only ones that i remember growing up that literally made me jump out of my chair lol. it still gets me
While yes it may be dumb, seeing as you probably didn't watch the movie and are just spouting crap. That entire scene is dead quiet until that loud shriek.
ive acually seen the movie and am a big horror fan. But I still dont think that seen was scary, just another old cheesy jump scare. I acually like the movie in general but it's really not scary.
The Insidious one was really clever, I was expecting it to be in the flashback but nnnoooo. Plus the way it extends it hand slowly with its pointy fingers like spider's legs is quite eerie.
The Excorcist III ....If you watch that movie for the first time only knowing that it is a horror movie and you'll finally get to that jumpscare. Boi you will be shittin' the seven colors of the rainbow and be paranoid about every single fcking white curtain hanging in the corner of the room for the rest of the month.
A Tale of Two Sisters is a really messed up movie. The disturbed imagination behind it's horrifying back story is really impressive. Hope to see it myself one day.
GamingRocksThisWorld Nah, ya know the girl that's facing the other girl that has her back to the window?, I saw something go past right behind her(I think she has her back to a hallway)
I was *LEGIT TRAUMATIZED* by that movie as a kid. For REAL. A few years ago I bought it, and overcame my fears but there's still a very strong residual fear that the movie instilled in me.
Who else had his cell phone away from his face? And he was saying LFDSFIERHVIERKHVIKREFI loud so he wouldn't be as that scared? Edit: i dont really know how to speak english so please dont mind me, oh and also i hope u have a great day! 🤗
