An arborist deemed them unsafe and cut the whole lot of them down. There are trees in nature that grow hollow, I wonder if that arborist will want to cut them all down as well. If its on land I do not own then I do not have exclusive rights to it, so whether you can piss into it is only a question of whether pissing into a natural well is against the law; if its not, then whether I consider it sacred or not is irrelevant - you can piss in it to your heart's content. this. here in america liberals want to put wind farms everywhere when a singular nuclear reactor will do the job of 400 turbines (and that’s if the turbines are spinning at maximum speed 24/7) not to mention NPPs (which have between 4-8 reactors, so between 1600 and 3400 wind turbines worth of power) only take up about 1.3 sq miles on average and are every bit as clean as wind. @ralphcaluag2403

Not to be that kind of person but... Even if God or the Universe assigned leadership of Nature to humankind, it's a blasphemy and vile deed to defy Nature with these destructive behaviors. So yeah, these ignoramus don't deserve to be caretakers of Nature. "According to Dante's Inferno, Art and Nature are daughters of God and violence/defiance against these is condemable to the 7th circle of Hell - Violence"
@paperdo
@paperdo 2 года назад
Were not caretakers of anything. Natures gonna do what natures gonna do. More species have gone extinct than the amount that are around today. A majority of those species went extinct long before humans were even around. But, we can certainly try. Its not a question of preservation, its a question of how we attempt to preserve. Idk a lot about conservation. But, i’ll use an example as it pertains to U.S forestry. If we cut all the trees down than they cannot burn. But, obviously we wont have any trees if we do that. The opposite perspective proposes that we don’t do any type of management to our forests, and leave them be. Unfortunately, forests WILL burn (with or without humans) and we still wont have any trees. I think that the best solution is a marriage of the two. We manage, we log, plant, make firebreaks, isolate old growth, eliminate tinder undergrowth, etc etc. Humans need natural resources. Forests are like any crop. You cannot grow barley if your fields are not maintained. I think people tend to forget that there is no such thing as irreversible damage as far as nature is concerned. If we destroy our resources than we will either perish, or severely diminish as a species.
@ralphcaluag2403
@ralphcaluag2403 2 года назад
@@paperdo Not to argue with you or anything... But the rest of the sentences you've just implied opposes the very first sentence you've said. Being caretaker of Nature is more than just preservation, it includes manipulation of what won't and what will be. Species go extinct, yes that's nature of things... Only for better one's to take place and we humans are much evolved and logical than other animals, which is why we survived for so long. But you're right on lots of points, our relation with Nature had to be like a marriage, mutual and benefiting both parties. We preserve trees, wilderness, and more and we benefit from it like food, shelter, and more. Like to a spouse you love, you'll get that love back. Hurt it and it'll bite back tenfold. Afterall, you can't spell caretaker without "care". And certainly, the lizards didn't care because they're just mass of flesh without logic or mind of it's own, just instincts. Again, not invalidating your point.

At the time there was a burn ban, and he and few friends took the fireworks, lit them, and dropped them into a canyon. The lit fireworks then started a fire, but soon started a large blaze in the gorge. By September 28th, 2017, the fire had consumed 48,831 acres of forest, and the fire was officially pronounced the fire 100% contained on November 30th, 2017. The fire threatened the Multnomah Falls Lodge, but was saved. The fire also burned Oneonta Tunnel and Canyon, burned parts of the original Columbia Gorge Highway, and burned more historic sites. After the fire was put out though, the damage continued. Due to the unstable trees, they had to be removed, and due to the heavy rain and snow falling, soil dislodged off the mountain and caused huge landslides. The fire was named the Eagle Creek Fire in October 2017.

There is an historic site close to our home in Wyoming... Sheltered by a rock formation...there are circles of large rocks/stones... These rocks/stones were used by the Arapaho people... They placed these stones around the bottom of their teepees...as anchors...to keep the wind from toppling their teepees... I visited the site in July 2017... I had traveled to Wyoming to visit my son’s family... Fortunately, I photographed the entire site... A few months later...my son texted me asking if I had photos of the teepee circles? I sent him all of the photos... He used the photos to restore the stone circles...that some ignorant person had scattered and destroyed... Ugh!!

Gender reveal stuff that extreme is basically a symptom of social media bred narcissism. 20 years ago people just had to compete against a small pool for attention, rather it be in high school or the workplace. So people really didn't have to do extreme attention seeking behavior. Then social media came and suddenly everyone from all of the world is in one place. This ultimately caused people to constantly be trying to one up each other for the likes and shares, hence why you see this weird pronoun stuff, which is just a big stretch of the emo phase. Social media is cancer..

@falicatena
@falicatena 2 года назад
By "weird pronoun stuff" do you mean peoples gender identities? News flash bud you also have a pronoun he/him & she/her, cisgendered people go by are pronouns. They/them are also regular pronouns used in every day life, and gender us just a social construct, so it's fine for people to go by the gender identity they feel fits themselves. It's not for attention, and I know this because I'm nonbinary, and I'm terrified to tell people due to the transphobia I face when I do. I can't change who I am, and you must be pretty dumb if you think us lgbtq+ folk, are doing this for attention, instead of just being ourselves. Being nonbinary is part of who I am, just like being cisgendered is apart of who you are. Yet I have to live my life in fear, because people kill/beat/SA people like me every day, and people like you mock our identities instead of helping

the disaster of the Aral sea is by far one of the biggest human-related natural disasters. Not only has it caused billions of dollars of damages, and millions of people displaced, it is now reported that the sea bed salts are being blown all over the world and causing serious long-lasting health issues to local residents. Now the UN spends billions to try and contain this issue, but it's irreversible.

Notice that most of the morons who destroyed wonderful parts of nature were cowards. They did their dirty deeds and ran like hell. The others, like the troop "leaders" were too incredibly stupid to know what they had done. Now look outside your windows, what has changed in the last ten years? I would guess a lot! This year nearly all our small birds are gone. Also Monarch butterflies that were proficient here in the summer, this year I only saw two. Interesting this summer the milkweed plants that we normally have in abundance were down to a minimal number. I wonder which way was the effect. It seemed to me back in the spring the plants appeared normal but by fall hardly any remained.

In southern Albert in the Milk River Valley, is a park called Writing On Stone. The soft, sandstone walls of the badlands canyons were used for thousands of years, by First Nations, to record events and stories as carvings. One small mesa, a sort of grand gallery, with a wooden walkway circling it, has been overwritten with crude, modern vandalism, starting with settlers in the late 1800's and proceeding to the present day. Apart from a few inaccessible examples, the entire surface has been defaced.

Lockdown should honestly become a permanent, the world was starting to fix itself while we were sleeping in our homes. The ozone was litterly repairing because of the lack of poisonous gasses being let off from our cars and factories. But when we got out of lockdown the time it wanted to take to repair was just lost
@estherdail1334

The ozone hole (both of them, the Arctic has one too) is caused not by CO2 or methane like what cars and factories release, but chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) that haven't been released in decades. However, the chemicals stay up there for decades, so the only way the holes will close is if we avoid ever releasing CFCs again which isn't a guarantee.
