@@hazelhen5401 the statement I replied to made it sound like only the best of the best are "good". The standard for good starts at the top 100 probably even before that you can be a good player. Very few people can make m2k look free. Only a few people in the world are great but plenty are good
we miss u ppmd. You are my favorite player. I wouldn't say you're the GOAT, I think that distinction goes to Armada, but you gave everyone a run for their money. Your matches with Armada at apex 2015 are probably the most fantastic melee I've ever seen. How intensely you two push each other to the edge, how switching character becomes a necessity, my biggest Melee wish is for you to make a glorious return and again be a top 5 player.

I'm convinced if PPMD was able to stay in good health and play he would be top 3 all time. Lots of arguments can be made but if you look at consistency in results and non-Gods beating God's PPMD and Armada are the top.
PPMD has always been my favorite tourney player. His falco is why I tried to main falco, but of course, I was never as good as these guys. I couldnt compare, I cant even wavedash, mostly due to having broken controllers. But still, PPMD is my hero
PPMD definitely destroyed m2k in this video, but it's Armanda who had M2k's number for the longest time. It took M2k 4 years to win 1 set against Armada and he only won 1 set in 6 years. Hbox has never had M2k's number. Not sure why he's in the same sentence as Armada and PP's dominance over M2k.
PP always felt like he was on another level. Not only was he THE Falco among the 5 gods but he also possessed that ability to soul search and turn shit around when the situation called for it. Apex 2015 Grand Finals is a prime example.

@@motoxtim34 He won some of the most highly attended and prestigious tournaments ever held during that era. That alone is an achievement in of itself, but on top of that he did that through family, life and debilitating health struggles. He's one of the best to ever do it, and to say otherwise just tells me you don't understand the weight or significance of his achievements. PP earned his keep

You're kind of a jerk. Ppmd is a pillar in the melee comunity and regulardless of if he can compete with current competition he WILL NEVER be irrelevant. Its rude to even say that after all hes been through.
