I love The Dark Knight because I think that was the best Batman movie ever made in 2008

It still holds up, and I tend to appreciate the practical and realness as more and more MCU movies are oversaturated with CGI and repitition

@@aleclessard7670 Snyder Cut was way too long. There was a bunch of scenes that were redundant, especially the cyborg. Steppenwolf was more of a henchman rather than a main villain.

They added 2 hours of filler and slo-mo, turned down the brightness and cut the screen in half and people apparently fell in love. I know I'm harsh but I really do despise the movie

Overshadowed by the magnificence of the other two, Batman Begins is the black sheep of the trilogy in a sense that it's very different from the other two.

Spider-Man 2 will always be the greatest expirience to a superhero movie sequel alongside The Dark Knight. My only pet-peeve about SM2 is that I hated half of the plot's directions.

Spiderman 2 is not only my favorite of the franchise but is definitely in my top 5 of Marvel movies along with Iron Man, Deadpool, X-men Days of Future past, & Logan

@@Cheeks730 Plot directions that ruined Spider-Man 2: • The once attractive MJ became somewhat washed-up in appearance (when I saw the SM2 trailer as a kid, I hardly recognized her, she looked like she's been addicted to weed, especially at the scene where she gets captured by Doc Ock), she is also useless as a character by being a petty burden to Parker and hooking up with a new blandly written boyfriend who didn't bring any background and charisma to the table like his dad J. Jonah Jameson. Sam Raimi originally wanted Black Cat to be the new love interest in SM2 and later Gwen Stacy in SM3, that would've been more interesting. • Doctor Octopus is stellar perfect (his generic wife aside who died by screaming at an incoming shard of glass instead of running for her life), Dr. Octavius' character went downhill after Sam Raimi *killed him off!* He and his machine were supposed to be stopped by Spidey and his ending shows him being locked-up in an Area 51-like prison like Max and Harry in TASM2. It’s also my favourite movie of all time Outside of a couple nitpick such as how pointless and lacklustre the idea that all the Spider-Man have to get back to their own universe before they the centigrade and using the wrong part of the Juice song in the film and should’ve use the features part better because it represents the scene better outside of that the film on its own is a masterpiece I understand why it’s the highest rated superhero movie of all time on Letterboxd

The Batman is so peak I hated Batman as a character before watching that masterpiece perfect depiction of Batman imo

You are correct with the first part. But the reasons as to why it's "#1" : 1. Hype generated by the far superior Batman Begins 2. The hype of getting Joker in a Batman movie for the first time in almost 25 years 3. Heath Ledger's death generating further media attention towards the film 4. Heath Ledger performance exceeding expectations (along with Aaron Eckhart) 5. Batmanites desperately clinging on to an amazing performance to hide the fact that the movie is overlong, boring, has no worthy character and story development, has way too many inconsistencies and is riddled with plot holes just so they can say that "DC is better than Marvel" after Marvel came out swinging with Incredible Hulk and Ironman. (which are both superior movies btw... Incredible Hulk by little, but Ironman by a lot)

Thanks for including "V For Vendetta". Watchmojo shouldn't have left that one out. When it comes to big budget extravaganzas, I don't agree with ZSJL being ahead of "Endgame", but to each his own. The top 3 are a no-brainer. I'd put Burton's "Batman", the original "Avengers", and "The Winter Soldier" a little bit higher, but that's just me. All in all, damn good list 👌

Absolutely agree. The entire Dark Knight Trilogy has a place in the top 20 in my opinion. Batman Begins would be top 10 for me. Rises would be somewhere in 15-20.

Replace TDK with Batman Begins and put it between 6 and 10... that should be where it accurate enough. TDK is the most overrated turd in cinema history even though Ledger gave one of the most amazing performances ever in cinema... the movie, didn't match that epicness...

Ledger, Eckhart, Freeman, Caine and Oldman... the latter 3 are legends of cinema and are amazing in every role. Batman Begins is a far superior movie and Liam Neeson is equivently amazing as Ledger in that movie.

@@anantsharma6365 I disagree. Long films do not condition whether a movie has replay value or not, it is the pacing and importance of every scene that makes a movie enjoyable. Therefore and with a platform such as HBO Max, The Batman will eventually be more regarded and in a few years time (probably when the sequel comes) it will have a legendary status.

I dozed off several times trying to complete watching The Batman. Atleast the Dark knight had joker but The Batman had nothing to entertain me.

The holy trinity. The 3 most important comic book movies of all time. Superman 78 started it all. Batman 89 took it to new heights. And Spider-Man resurrected the genre after not very good Superman and Batman sequels.
