No one will ever top Mark Hamill's Joker. He and Kevin Conroy was a dynamic duo we never knew we needed. Kevin's passing hit the Batman fan base very hard. Kevin, RIP, and keep us safe as Batman in the skies!!

Heath Ledger was the definitive live-action Joker for sure, but Mark Hamill will ALWAYS be the definitive voice actor of the same, I agree! Even when some other voice actor is doing an animated thing, it's always VERY clear that they're just trying to do a Mark Hamill thing. When I'm reading a Batman comic book and the Joker has dialogue, I'm imagining it in Mark's voice, and I don't think I'll ever NOT do that! Fingers crossed that the next time we get a live-action Joker, the guy will have a great Mark Hamill voice. Don't get it twisted, Joaquin Phoenix was great, but to see mista J with a Hamill voice... I'd see it in theaters probably 3 times in a row if it's done right!

Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill really did go a long way ever since the first episode of Batman the Animated Series, it's sad that my camel said that he's no longer goes it's fun as Joker because without his former friend Kevin Conroy as Batman, so the Joker has officially retired from the DC Animated Universe

As someone who has seen every single thing that Mark hamill has voiced Joker in, I can honestly say that his best ever and most terrifying performance as the Joker is from Batman Beyond Return of the Joker. I don't think anything tops his performance in that film.

It's my opinion when many people think of The Joker, Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson come to mind. But personally Mark Hamill is and has always been my favorite. The various ranges and intensity from somewhat comical to absolutely sinister is amazing and gives me goosebumps at times.

I saw a short a few days ago and it showed Harrison Ford being shown a good impression of himself by Mark Hamill. I saw the comments there and when someone commented about his role in Batman: The Animated Series as well as other series like the OG Avatar series, many others either didn't believe it or wrote disparaging comments on that subject. I think those commenters were either dumba**es or total ignoramus...

He quickly took that back not realizing how addictive the role is.)

I just hate to be the bearer of bad news but due to Kevin Conroy's Death in December 2022 Mark Hamill had decided to retire from voicing the Joker meaning he will no longer voicing the Joker never ever again.

Mark Hamill has to be pleased with himself, he's been two of the most iconic characters in film/animation history, first obviously - Luke Skywalker in the wildly successful Star Wars franchise, and after that he gave one of the greatest depictions of "The Joker" that has ever been on screen, in the also massively successful 1990s - Batman the animated series. The money must be nice too.💰

Fun fact: “Laughing Gas” is a real thing. It’s also known as nitrous oxide, and it’s a type of sedative used primarily in dentist offices. A mask is placed over the patient’s nose and the gas is pumped through the mask, making the patient feel relaxed, floaty and a bit goofy, often causing the patient to laugh, hence why it’s called laughing gas

Joker's death is always my favorite from Hamill. I like how Joker, knowing that Bruce is Batman just toys with him. He spent his entire career up to that moment, doesn't care and finally pinned him in the spot he's most venerable. Excellent writing, only Batman didn't get the final punch line. That's the only thing I didn't like, but either way I know Batman wouldn't have killed Joker either way.

Mark Hamill will always be the best Joker. Whenever I think of Joker, I always picture Mark’s voice. He brings out the funny evil side to the character that no one else can. He always comes up with the most cruel yet hilarious lines. His Joker laugh is the best and I personally think it can be used as a security system to scare off burglars! 🤣

Mark Hamill is my favorite joker and he is also the VOICE of joker. Joaquin Phoenix and Heath Ledger may be the best physically actor of the joker but Mark Hamill is the VOICE. Kevin Conroy, RIP. Thank you. You know what's sadder? I had a chance to meet him! Boston Comic Con 2022...He had a booth, and there was a line..and I heard his voice say "OH hello! Nice to meet you!" I froze up when I heard him speak. I couldn't breath...I couldn't move...IT WAS THE GODDAM BATMAN. I wanted to get an autograph, but I'd maybe faint....so I went to see Steve Blume. (FTR...Brendan Fraiser was there...and no one was at his booth! He was looking at his phone, and someone walking by yelled out "WE LOVE YA, BRENDAN!" I think he blushed!)

For those that do or don't know this already but Tim Curry was originally going to voice The Joker on BTAS now for someone who has watched the "test footage" he made a horrible Joker 😂 So it's a very good thing , Mark Hamilton was cast instead of Tim Curry 😝 Tim Curry is still a pretty good voice actor on his own with voicing Captain Hook in Peter Pan and The Pussies 😆 on Fox Kids 😛

I don’t remember if this was Mark Hamill but one of the darkest moments I remember of Joker in cartoon form, was Assault on Arkham where Joker disintegrates someone’s head who was impersonating Batman. He snuck up on the “Batman”, blows is brains out, looks at the gun while smiling and says “Best Gun Ever.”

I have to disagree with the idea that the laugh at the end of Mask of the Phantasm is his best. I prefer the laugh in "Injustice for All" when he hits Batman with the bag. See, it wasn't a bag of rocks. It was a bag with a rock in it. He had struck Batman so hard that the rock broke into tiny pieces. So when he starts laughing, Hamill doesn't just laugh, he builds it up slowly. It's perfect.

Frankly, a good terrifying moment that I would add to the list is Joker's return from the Batman Beyond Movie when he shifts from Tim into Joker. Loved the list though. Good coverage.

The only time Mark Hamill's joker scares me when when he's burning to ashes screaming (alternate opening to Arkham Knight). Also in that Arkham City reveal trailer when he's looking directly to the camera.
