kinda ironic how the Enfield 1917 was considered to have some of the best ironsights (and being basically the best bolt rifle of WW1), and how unwieldy it ends up being in the game

It was also more common than the M1903, but the M1917 being a DLC weapon makes it the opposite.

@@theerdem4698 because they take a large portion of the screen. In games irons need to be clear. Irl, a sight like the one from the Enfield is way better because it gives you a longer sight picture and the sight picture itself is better than a V notch because it was a ghost ring style sight.

Enfield 1917 used the same rear sight with BAR. BAR come later and adopted Enfield's rear sight

Don't forget to mention that when you put canted irons on the Famas from BF4 you completely cover the original iron sights making them impossible for you to use

The irony is that "bad" videogame iron sights are better and visually clearer than iron sights in real life. Especially considering how your eye can only actually focus on one or the other, front or rear sight. Obviously, you focus more on the front sight, which leaves the rear sight blurry from your irl perspective and the notches and apatures(holes) on rear sights are much smaller, to fit the front post more narrowly and block more than, pretty much any of these sights. Just saying.😋

Battlefield 4 weapons should have been this entire list. There was maybe 3 guns that I maybe could tolerate with iron sights, otherwise I ran an optic.

I think that was the idea, both in bf and cod games. Both have their fair shares of realistic-looking (lousy) and unrealistic (clean) irons.

@@jbeverley67 I think it was the AS VAL, SR2, and AEK that I'd use with iron sights. Everything else I either ran with an optic or did it for the meme of not being able to hit my target.

In BF4 the only guns I ran with irons were the AK variants, Grozas, AS VAL and the M870. The rest were absolute rubbish. I get it, they want to make realistic irons but sadly games cant render them the way we see them IRL.

If you want a challenge, use the bf4 famas with canted iron sights. Literally impossible to look through.

Fun fact about the Type 97 every optic other than the Iron sights and aa sights are mounted on the left hand side of the gun, actually increasing your visability somewhat, and for the type 11 lmg it has a "ping" sound much like the garand but after every 5 shots :)

Kris, I'm surprised you didn't put the Shorty 12G (BF4) in the list, since it's the only weapon with iron sights that actively disable ADS when equipped. Still, I'm glad to see the Famas and QBU-88 made the list. 😂

I don't know about the sa58 it does look like a weird angle but the sight picture is quite similar to the sa80 I used in the British army as the correct sight picture has the left and right fork prong tips in line with the rear sight ring

Con la tipo 11 y la tipo 97 me siento incomodo con la pocision de las miras al lado derecho pero tiene sentido ya que mas que nada son armas estacionarias no estaban diseñadas para ser usadas en combate directo y con la Thompson la mira es mas comoda para combate a corta distancia de lejos es muy dicil aputar con precisión

The M60e4's iron are wierd but I kind of like them since they were very clear. Felt beastly compared to those WIMPY RED DOT SIGHTS. KILLLLLLLL. Also to be really picky, the Radium sights look different on the Vitali, which makes it far clearer. Surprised the C-93 Carbine didn't come up (then again you already did it) since its the only gun that practically removes your sight completely with every shot.

Is 110 to 150 ping any good? Because often times when I play I see myself getting melted in near an instant, plus how accurate is the Howell Automatic? My shots some to fly off in a different direction all of the time in bf 1

That's kinda bad. I live in the middle of the USA, and mine's roughly 30-50. I avoid 100+ servers unless there are no other options

Er10r_4O1 r from 60 below it’s good for me. Even in the 80s it starts to be kinda bad, The howell is meh for me, it has a bipod but the storm one gas horrible sights and the marksman is kinda inaccurate unless you stand still. The farquhar hill and selbstlaser 1916(factory) have better accuracy and a good magazine size. If you want just accuracy, use the liu, selb1906 or mondragon

100+ ping means you will most likely have to lead your shots more slightly. And with random bullet deviation in BF1, there's no telling where your bullets go

well... it could be better, it could be worse... is not good, is not the worst. About the howell and your shots going anywhere... its a mechanic introduced in bf1, randmon bullet deviation... wich does exacly what the name says. And is mainly seen in automatic weapons in bf1.

@@stgsragud3554 yes I'm well aware of that mechanic, but I'm just confused on how I went from some what alright to hot garbage, and I'm starting to question my skills because a lot of the times I could swear I hit the guy in med range and he didn't take any damage. It's probably because of my wifi connection and me being generally bad at the game

Idk, man. From the look of it, someone messed up the model - front sight is too thick and rear one is missing the notch, fits the misaligned description. bf3 one was better (and far better than ones used on m60 in mw1 and mw3, bo1 version was the only tolerable but ultimately wrong too. If you can make use of them, who are we to judge, you deserve a salute (salute).

They only seem to accurately recreate the sights that work better with irl binocular vision (aperture sights mainly). a lot of the guns that have open notch sights would be a deal more accurate and more usable in general if they just made them realistic. Doesn't help that guns are super close to the camera in the bf games regardless of fov, which really annoys me.

I hope BF6 has a better Depth of field option for iron sights and scopes; the outside edges should blur out to the point of appearing very thin.

The Radium Sight is only acceptable when it is put on the SMLE Infantry and the SMLE LOA Rifle because the standard iron sight is so irritating to use. The same with the Vetterli Vitali 1870 rifle. There are also some BFV weapons, which iron sights are almost unusable because of specific Skin customisations, those rifles which are covered with cloths on the barrel to be specific. The worst rifle to use with a specific skin is the Boys AT (x3 and x6 scope version) with the ,,Snakebite“-Skin because the feather accessories is blocking half of the damn scope. Maybe this topic would make for another video Something like ,,Top XX Worst Gun Skins, Accessories, Specialisations and Scopes in Battlefield Games,,

M1903’s sights are bad but once u see someone you just have to spam bullets at them till one of you dies or you can switch to bolt action with it for range and semi for close

The problem is no game has shown a weapon with ironsights (aside from pistols) that would look like if you sighted down the real one (in games they either appear misaligned, or one half is too small or too big).

in game these are pretty bad but irl most of those are good sights and the reason the thompson sights are bad is because the charging handle is part of the sights

Some of these iron sights really do suck, and I personally would have even thrown the Groza family's irons and the ghost ring attachment from BF4, though I do believe playing on PC (not to be THAT guy) has made some of these sights more tolerable. At least, I imagine they would be. I haven't much experience with most of these games.

Let’s be honest bf1 had the best iron sights. In bfv they’re too big, it’s like the soldier swallowed the stock and is looking at them point blank. In bf4/h/3 they’re also big and wonky but red dots exist so you don’t mind them. In bfv the reticle is terrible and the nydar sight is plain bad so yeah

An underappreciated feature of BF1 is the ability to change the ads multiplier to what you felt most comfortable with, sad to see it removed for BFV

I really loved the ak-5c ironsights in BF4. Even though there were other carbines that were leagues better than it, I still loved running the AK-5c. I was kinda triggered when u talked shit about the SCAR-H irons, but looking at it now they are kinda dogshit.
