If i will upgrade this list there will be Home Alone, Taxi Driver, Gone With the wind, Conquest of Paradise, American Beaty, Mission Imposible, Halloween, The simpsons, Love Story, The exorcist, How to kill a mockingbird and 28 days later in the list as well.
The lord of the rings music was the best music to have ever been played in a movie. It fits every situation perfectly and makes the viewer feel emotionally attached. Better than star wars in my opinion.
For all of you complaining about Star Wars #1, lemme just say this: there is a reason that it is the #1 movie soundtrack of all time. Listen to that stuff. All of the album. You will know why.
1. Star Wars 2. Indiana Jones 3: The Lord of the Rings 5. Harry Potter 6. James Bond 7. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 8: Rocky 9:The Great Escape 10: Robin Hood
Jurassic Park, Titanic, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Robin Hood, The Lord Of The Rings and Star Wars 😍😍😍 But where the hell are Harry Potter and The Breakfast Club?
It's the Fellowship theme. That version is the complete version that's only played when the full Fellowship is together. Once it starts to break up, there are always some notes missing from the theme.
As much as I agree that these are all pretty epic scores you left out some very good ones. - The Exorcist (Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield) - Halloween (John Carpenter) - The original Phantasm Theme - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - Flash Gordon (Queen) - 2001 A Space Odyssey - Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (Tan Dun)
DUDE defiantly watch "master and commander" theme tunes are amazing especially at the end. Very good list there are some on there that i have seen but couldn't remember and was like how did i forget that lol. However i bet there are some great ones that i cant think of that aren't on this list :)
This should have been top 28 songs or something :P With the theme songs of: Transformers, King Arthur and Matrix added ^_^ But I completely agree with the list you have set up aleready!
12: Ghostbusters - Ray Parker Jr. (score by Elmer Bernstein) 11: Requiem for a Dream - Clint Mansell 10: The Terminator - Brad Fiedel 9: Titanic - Celine Dion (score by James Horner) 8: Back to the Future - Alan Silvestri 7: Indiana Jones - John Williams 6: Pirates of the Carribean - Klaus Badelt 5: Braveheart - James Horner 4: Gladiator - Hans Zimmer 3: Robin Hood Prince of Thieves - Michael Kamen 2: Lord of the Rings - Howard Shore 1: Star Wars - John Williams
Dude you had a good selection here mate. When i saw number 2, knew instantly that Star Wars was number 1. Also i think 2. Braveheart 3. Inception 4. Sherlok Holmes 5. Ghost Busters
Mission Impossible is iconic, Top Gun was a great movie and has a great theme, and last samurai can be found on different lists of theme songs aswell, so it my view they deserve to be here.
Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, Titanic, Divergent, Jurassic Park, Batman - The Dark Knight, Transformers, James Bond, Mission Impossible, Game of Thrones (i know it isnt a movie but its amazing too)
Good list. I liked Dr. Zhivago and even if you don't like the movie the Blue Lagoon, the musical score is really beautiful, as well as the cinematography.
25. The Godfather - Carmine Coppola and Nino Rota 24. The Pink Panther - Henry Mancini 23: Rocky - Bill Conti 22: Superman The Movie - John Williams 21: Jaws - John Williams 20: Mission Impossible - Lalo Schifrin 19: The Last Samurai - Hans Zimmer 18: Inception - Hans Zimmer 17: James Bond - John Barry 16: Sherlock Holmes - Hans Zimmer 15: Jurassic Park - John Williams 14: Top Gun - Harold Faltermeyer 13: Narnia - Harry Gregson-Williams
Nice top 20, only you are missing Ennio Morricone at any rank: "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" or "Once upon a time in the West", my favorite "The Untouchables" to name a few of of his signatures... and Danny Elfman's Batman theme (the Michael Keaton Movies) also stand amiss
This is my top 25: 25- Terminator 24- The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 23- Jurassic Park 22- Jaws 21- Braveheart 20- Ghostbusters 19- Superman 18- Titanic 17- Pink Panther 16- Mission Impossible 15- Requiem for a dream 14- Inception 13- Batman/Batman Returns 12- Rocky Balboa 11- Godfather 10- Harry Potter 9- Dark Knight 8- Indiana Jones 7- Robin Hood 6- Pirates of Caribbean 5- Narnia 4- Back to the future 3- Lord of the rings 2- James Bond 007 1- Star Wars
For any future updates, I'd recommend checking out: American Beauty, Black Hawk Down, Last of the Mohicans, Glory, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Great Escape, King of Kings, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mission, and the Green Mile. From a constructive criticism standpoint, your list is slanted towards the recent films. Aside from the James Bond theme and the Pink Panther theme, every movie on your list is from the 70s or newer.
Titanic was more of a guilty one, So many people wanted it their and it is memorable to I slapped it in their, Robin Hood has been a fave of mine since I was a kid and its a kick ass theme.
They are all fabulous, there should not be a no.1, each are memorable in their own way. Maybe do another and include transformer, dances with wolves, and a tribute to the horror movie soundtracts like halloween and exorist
It was in my other list, I took it out to make room for a couple of different songs. Their are so many theme's people need to understand that opinions differ and sometimes they just barely or wont fit the list
Well they are good theme songs, Top Gun is pretty awesome, last samurai i found on quite a few other lists aswell so im not the only one who likes him :P and well mission impossible is a must :P
