Same here. Lily was the best DT of his day. I remember the papers saying Dallas was “Next year’s Champion” and that fantastic first Super Bowl. Bullet Bob was the fastest human alive and, unlike most track athletes (Gold Medal @ the Olympics) he could catch the ball, very well! And of course, Captain America, the QB of America’s Team. Nuff said.
THE COWBOYS ARE THE BEST NFL FOOTBALL PLAYERS EVER. ,,, I LOVE THE DALLAS COWBOYS FOREVER ,,, BEEN COWBOYS FAN SINCE 1971 ,,, DC4LIFE COME NATION ,,,LOVE DEM BOYZ ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
@@jlobiafra is this offense only ? if not, where's randy white ? i'm not a cowboys fan either. maybe 3 from each super bowl winner. too much talent to limit it to 3.
@@sicfrynut you only have four slots. I didn't mention randy white, tony Dorsett, ed too tall, drew Pearson, Troy Aikman, Demarcus ware, Bob Lilly, Don Meredith, Larry Allen, Charles Haley, Darren Woodson, Mel Renfro, etc. It's like picking just four new York Yankees
Lilly, the GOAT of DTs. Emmitt the GOAT of running backs. Troy and Roger, two of the greatest QBs to play. Teams of the 60s, 70s, 80s and especially the 90s, with so many greats
Alright, li'l bro. You just got yourself a new subscriber! Keep pumping out the quality content! Here's my top 3. Remember, I was your age in the 70's and 80's so... 1. Roger Staubach 2. Tony Dorsett 3. Randy White
Love seeing the love given to The Playmaker. As Tex Schramm said of Irvin upon the Cowboys drafting him, Michael returns us to the living! I own several Irvin game worn jerseys including # 19 on that countdown. My favorite cowboy. Nice highlight video and 3 of our greatest!
Been a Cowboys fan all my life and picking just 3 is kinda hard so im picking six! Offence- Roger the dodger Staubach,Tony TD Dorsett, n Drew Pearson! Defence- Larry big boy Allen,Ed too tall Jones n Bob Lilly!!😮❤
As a Bronco fan I would say the 3 best Cowboys players in team history are Emmit, Staubach and Randy White. Honorable mention to Prime, Irvin, Aikman, Ware, Dorsett, and Bob Lilly. Love your content bro you are doing a great job.
Great to see young fans interested in history. Keep up the good work! My top 5: Lilly, Staubach, Aikman, Randy White, Emmitt Smith. Those 5 are a cut above the rest and could be placed in any order. I've got Irvin at 8 but can see an argument for higher because his passion and competitiveness elevated the team. Larry Allen's close at 6 but loses some points for positional value. A single offensive lineman typically doesn't have as much impact as a QB, RB, or even a great D-lineman can.
Staubach went to the Superbowl 5 times during his 10 year career... Cowboys did not win them all but Captain Comeback got them there. Excellence personified. Randy White brought a level of Toughness to the Cowboys not seen before or since. White was a superb player, nearly annual All Pro... and I just find it kind of amazing that 2 of the Cowboys all time greats were both Defensive Tackles (Lilly).
3 greatest players...Larry Allen, Enmity Smith & Roger Staubach/ Irvin My 3 favorite...Deion Sanders, Tony Dorsett & Hollywood Henderson Cowboys Nation 👍💪💪
Lil man, we’ll done. Each of us have memories of individual Cowboys that we treasure. You did a heck of a job in picking yours and explaining why. Loved it.
E Smith is the most underrated and under appreciated player in the history of the NFL. No Emmitt would mean no super bowl for the Cowboys in the 90s. None
Too many fabulous players for me to pick 3. Your 3 picks are indeed legends, but I would have to add Roger Staubach, Deon Sanders, and Hershel Walker. Household names in my world!
Hey Cowboys Kid, good-looking vid you made. Hard to argue with Bob Lilly and Emmitt Smith. I think Michael Irvin is underrated, but still have a hard time seeing him in that third slot. Who's number four on your list?
My favorites were too many, but Tony Romo, Jay Novack, Danny White, Cole Beasley, Drew Pearson, Quincy Carter, Marion Barber, T.O., & Dez. Too many others.
Michael Irvin wasn't even the best number 88. Drew Pearson was awesome, and always made the big plays when they needed them. Without all of the issues that came with Irvin.
Wow! How do you only show a top 3? Bob Lilly is arguably the greatest DT of all time. Emmitt did finish his career with the most yards of any rusher in the history of the game, and the playmaker Michael Irvin, a physical receiver used his size, tenacity, fight for the ball and toughness to absorb many fierce hits while catching pass across the middle of the field, a question comes to mind. Where do you then place Larry Allen and Roger Staubach on the list? Larry Allen was most likely the strongest player in the history of the NFL, and quite possibly the greatest OL that ever played the game. He probably should be listed at number 2 behind Bob Lilly. Then at number 3 is a real tough debate on whether I would put Emmitt Smith or Captain Comeback. I might argue for either one as a tossup, but consider Roger Staubach’s level of success during the time he quarterbacked the Cowboys. There is very little doubt in my mind that the Cowboys would have won Super Bowl V if coach Tom Landry would have played Roger Staubach at QB instead of Craig Morton. From the following year when Staubach began to become the starting QB in Dallas, he led Dallas to 8 playoff appearances in the next 9 seasons, including a 12-7 postseason record in which the Cowboys played in 6 NFC Championship games, having won 4 of them, where he played in four super bowls, having won two of them. I am not sure, but one can make quite the argument for Roger Staubach being in the top 3 Dallas Cowboy players of all time.
The Triplets for me,can't pick one without the other two and that's how they'd want it,3 superbowls in 4 years with teamwork, unselfishness and great work ethic Aikman/feild general Emmitt/work horse Irvin/Playmaker
@@user-cj1tc8zi4e Dion was barely a Cowboy. He went into the HOF has a Falcon. IMO you got to go into the HOF has a Cowboy to qualify for best Cowboys player in history.
With all due respect, Michael is not 3rd… you can compare him to Bullet Bob Hayes, who changed defenses. Or Tony Dorsett, who was great too! But consider this. Look at who changed the game.. how did their presence change the NFL? I offer to you, Tom Landry.
@@spotliterrr Landry NEVER won a championship in the NFL has a Player. His career has a player was pretty short 1949 to 1955. 6 seasons mostly with the NYG. He started his coaching career in 1956 with the NYG and the NYG won the 1956 NFL championship with him has a defense coach. He became the Head coach of the expansion Dallas Cowboys in 1960 going 0-11-1 in his first season. He coached for 29 seasons won 2 Superbowls 5 NFC championships and 16 divisional titles. He also had a still a record today 20 consecutive winning seasons.
I realize he's just a little kid but consider these three Tony Dorsett, Randy White, and who I would consider their greatest pass rusher DeMarcus Ware. Also have to suggest Larry Allen and I HATE the cowgirls.
I know my history and you are wrong. Jimmy Johnson, Troy Aikman and emmitt all said nobody went harder at practice than Irvin. He played hard every game and was as clutch of a receiver as any other receiver aside for Rice. Yeah he liked to party off the field but it didn't ever affect his play.
@@jlobiafra You can think whatever you want... you will continue to be wrong. Irvin wa arrested in '96 (while he was playing), served a 5 game suspension for it, and then got busted several years later for the same thing. That's not "working hard..." He was a slacker that managed to convince a few people that he was putting out maximum effort, however the reality is - if he treated the opportunity like Jerry Rice did, he might have one of the greatest
@@mattthompson8329 ok I'll take your word over jimmy Johnson, Troy Aikman and emmitt Smith 🙄🙄🙄🙄. You do know it's possible to have off the field issues and still dominate on the field. By your rationale Lawrence Taylor didn't "work hard" either yet he's only the greatest defensive player ever. 🙄🙄🙄
@@jlobiafra Should have added... Good to know that you are willing to insult all the other good to great "Boys that worked hard and lived clean, saying that Irvin (w/"off the field issues") was a better player.
