I debated demolding the sides for a long time... Then about a month ago a ranger ran into the side of my truck at the extended cab part and there's not even a scratch cause of those mouldings. Also prevent door dings
Nice rig, I've got a 2nd gen same paid scheme but it's a 1500 I've got a mild built 360 but I'd like to put a 4tb sawp some day possibly even a 6tb as there easier to come by
Great vid. Just got a 03 Ram 1500 and was looking for some helpful tips to sharping her up. I really like the idea on spray painting the grill and the rear axle. I know what im doing this weekend to my girl before i take her out. Can't wait for the under $100 mods.
First mod needed. Redo the screwed up paint job dodge did. (You know) second new ABS dash. Third heater core. Boom saved you from learning how to spray paint your truck:)
I removed my grill insert and several trim parts, washed, cleaned with rubbing alcohol, and sprayed all satin black, and looks like new. Lasts for years
I’m bout to swap my axles out in my 2000 1500 4x4 sport (has stock 3:55 gears) with some axles I got from a donor truck that have 3:90 gears. I most definitely am gonna paint them up with that under coating you just showed in this video and probably also swap the stock covers for some nice polished stainless steel ones! Thx for the awesome ideas bud! Oh and sweet 2nd gen!
Inside of wipe new, you can use a torch or a heat gun on your bumpers and around your license plate on the rear end. Works great. Basically melts your plastic just a tad to where it brings it to brand new look. If you want proof just message me and I can send you a picture for proof. I used a heat gun on my truck and brought a lot of it back to new condition
Here soon I plan to buy my dads friends 97 12 Valve cummins and I plan to do headlights and eventually in a couple years put a 2 inch leveling kit cause lift kits scare me and either 32s or 35s my dads other friend has a straight piped 2008 24 valve cummins that has a 2 inch leveling kit and 35s and it looks sharp and it's a 6 speed manual but the one I'm gonna buy is a automatic
What lift kit and size lift are you running? Time to upgrade from my sky jacker 4" lift to something more comfortable and capable of towing a 13k toy hauler more comfortable.
Just painted my rear bumper high gloss black and painted my front bumper and grille a matte black. The honeycomb grille will get replaced here soon hopefully but why the hell not? Lol. Wish I could add pictures
Where did you get your mirrors at I have a 2nd gen ram and one of my mirrors is chipped and wanna get a new one but can’t find a replacement one that’s electronic adjustable and heated
I have a 2500 Ram Diesel LWB Clubcab 2 wheel drive. It sits long and low (stock). Do you know how I can raise it 2 or 3 inches without high cost and trouble? Thanks! CUBMANCAN
How's the dashboard treating ya? I'm in Arizona and every 2nd gen in AZ has a smashed dash but I was able to fine a replacement and swap it put I also got a sport grill for free which was a super score
Hey Man - just subscribed. Likin' your channel! Question - have you ever heard of AC probs (not the blend door) on 2nd gen. Mine is a 2001 that I bought new. Mine suddenly (a few years ago) stopped blowing hard. High is what a 1/2 way setting between med and low would be. Low just barely moves air out of the vents. Used to blow very well for the fist 10 years. Was out of the country and it didn't get a lot of use for 1 year. I had it serviced as it was blowing hot air when I got home from abroad and it has blown badly since. Mechanic looked through vents with camera - all good. Not the switch as the settings all work, just way restricted. Blend door operates well. Bought a new fan - no fix. Fan does not have reverse polarity. I don't feel air coming out of any portion of the dash it should be. I live in AZ and on a hot day the driver's side vent air just reaches my hand on the steering wheel when it's on high. Don't feel difference from recirc to max - can hear it but no change in air flow that I can tell. Air is cold, just not forceful. Mechanic thinks it's a design flaw as he has seen several Dodge pickups with this. However, as I have had this vehicle since it was new I know there is a problem. Talked to another mechanic and he said the fan was tired but that didn't change anything. Something happened and I'm not sure where to go. Thought maybe you or a subscriber might have seen the same. Put this question on a Dodge forum and had all kinds of responses citing probs that I already explained were not the cause. (People won't get off that blend door and that is mostly a 3rd gen prob.) One guy suggested a vacuum line reroute but that is starting to get above my level as a novice. If you have someone else with the same, please let me know! Thanks!!
Marty Rutledge there’s a chip up under the passenger side (I forgot the name) it’s like 10 bucks at auto but it’s common on dodges to go out. Replace it and it should go back to normal.

Danniel Gilmore lift the front with some diesel springs and blocks in the back for a cheap lift and shock warehouse has good prices sense you will need longer shocks after ! Unless your going for a huge lift get a kit
