Blue Ridge love all your videos special about nickels and dimes I really appreciate you taking time out to teach you a lot of stuff I learned off you through the years you have a great day I really appreciate you
I didn't realize you have links to buy the Cherry Pickers guide, coin holders and almost everything else I need for my vast collection. I do need to find a safe as well to put everything in. I'm going on the links to purchase everything I need. Your the best! Thanks Shaun for this video and the links provided!
@@BlueRidgeSilverhound you're right they want a fortune (sorta speak) and Amazon is sold out. Barnes and Noble said they would order one but the price is high as well. I went and ordered one on your link and wait instead.
The double die monticello was the very first error I found, after watching coin videos I started looking through my jar of change.. and bam ! I had it setting there maybe for a year .. and the rest is history.. still have it.
Just got back into collecting about a month ago. Had a few nice coins, but fell into hard times after my wife passed away. Pretty much sold everything i had. But kept a few things. Things are better now, recouping my life and getting back into the collecting world.
The 42 d over d that sold for 32000 does have the fs designation.. not sure why he said it didn’t even have the full step designation when it’s labeled fs on the slab .
I like searching nickels, I just got some to search from the mail yesterday! I got a 1950 D yesterday and reading up on it, than your video pop up on it, was helpful thanks!!
BlueRidgeSilverhound I have not bought it yet! Littleton send me one and it looks like it has full steps, it has small die mark on the steps! They want $40.00 for it!! I don't have that key date, I'm thinking about it!! Maybe I could get a little bit for it or keep for my collection! I know Littleton is, quite expensive but I'm looking out!!
I have many of the coins I've seen on your stream and I just don't know where to start... I also have many 2 cent Benjamin Franklin and George Washington stamps

I thought that the Jefferson 1969'sdouble die the one that's sought after by every and anyone that one you mentioned that we could possibly Neymar price and I believe 5 million was suggested number to coming out of you why isn't that one on the list or did I miss something should I retract
I have silver nickels and 1 black nickel a couple old nickels with the S mint mark.... Forgot to mention the black nickel has a S mint mark on the side
Let me try this again Blue Ridge I have a 2000 year old coin that I bought years and years ago and just found found it love to send you a picture of it see what you think I am going to send it into PCGS and get it graded
Okay check it out I don't know much about coins but I have had this point for a couple years it's a liberty 1964 silver half dollar it's a little dirty I haven't cleaned it up or nothing like that but I don't know what it's even worth I like to kniw
I have a 1999 -D with a faint face on it and the reverse has nothing wrong with it is there a way to send a photo of it and by the way the photo does have a hard time to see it on the left side of the bill and the oval is covered to and hard to see but on the right you can see it
FranSuttle Hi Shaun lm beginning to look at my coins again. I have been very sick! Look forward to wowing you with some of the coins I have! Bless you!!
I have 5 or 6 1949s that are either D/D or D/S. each one is a little different. it is driving me crazy. there was an article in CoinWorld Weekly a month or two ago that showed some examples of the D/S and it is a tricky one. they are not all so simple as the one in the video.
@@BlueRidgeSilverhound they ARE all circulated. good thing is, this video made me look through some nickels this morning and I think I have the non-silver 1943 P. it is the color of the one you showed and the P on reverse is tilted slightly East, like the one you show. I guess there are no die markers are you would have mentioned them...? lotta good content lately. I watched an older one on the 1926S Peace dollar last night. I have a couple and one has a mint mark with three 'legs'...my mom was born that year so her dad saved a couple back then. nice to hear current prices are likely to go up. cheers.
Hi everyone I just bought a 1959 Proof Jefferson nickel it looks beautiful but it hasn’t been graded yet so if anyone out there that could help me that would be great thankyou. Only one problem I live in Australia.
Great video. Thanks for the information on these three varieties. I believe you said the 1942 D was cataloged as an FS 501 and then you said the 1949 D over S was also cataloged as FS 501. Did I hear you right?
Each date has it's own set of catalog numbers. Like 1964 DDO fs-101 Kennedy would have the same number for a double die obverse on a 1943 quarter DDO FS-101.
Hi I would like to know if u can help me with a nickel I found coin roll hunting. I found a nickel that only has strikes in the middle of the coin both O/R out line is clear, looks like when it was strike it only struck the middle of the coin. On the O it looks like a ghost image of a newer state strike. Please I'm very new to hunting and would to if I could somehow email or mail a pix so u could have a look. Thanks Soo much. Luv your videos. Names mary
good morning. Look I have a jeweler nikels 1962 gem and most of what I have seen in this type of pieces has no steps and I sent one to certify why it is of stairs, and they did not give that degree their answer from them was that those nikels are from staircases comoletos I am disillusioned by the certifying company
1942 had both distinguished by the large mint mark over the top of Monticello for silver. The non silver has a smaller mint mark on the right side of Monticello like the coins in the video. It is also known that there are some off metal versions of these worth good money but are hard to distinguish because both silver and non silver are 5grams in weight.
"Dynomite Shaun" you did say the Jeffersons right! Lol...oh, pretty sure I found the 1949 d over s coin roll hunting about two weeks ago. Sending it off this week yet for grading and attribution. I understand that due to it being so sought after; that it is accepted at any grade by collectors. Will let ya know how it comes back.
