It's been 2 years since Genshin Impact was released to live servers and a lot has happened during that time. But despite how far it's come I still think there are things the game is sorely falling behind in, and must fix and/or improve if they want to maintain its current success. I'll say this here in the hopes someone will see it I think a lot of the suggestions people bring would be great additions to the game, BUT I don't think they're quite the priority 1. From what I've heard, genshin's cs is extremely unreliable and unresponsive, which is horrible especially with hacked accounts, I don't think I meed to explain why So, if that is still the case, I think the absolute first priority would be getting genshin a better cs 2. It's incredibly difficult for new players to not only catch up to more endgame ones, but also simply raise the new characters I think it's also a priority to help new players out, first by making a farmable material that converts certain ascension materials into others of choice, kind of like dust of azoth, but they'd probably also need more From there on, it is, as you've said, mainly a matter of personal taste and opinion

I think they should give more than 5 characters for expedition And also more rewarding adventure rank up, because ranking up after AR 55 and only getting the amount we get rn is quite frustrating Oh and also keep fate points for weapon banner

It is really sad how outdated the expedition feature is because the loot from those expedition can be easily get except some region specialty and ore if you are lazy to farm those thing which I can't blame you + I though quest like put signals in Dragonspine and Chasm was meant to be to unlock those area to be expeditionable only to be dissapointed nothing really change whatsoever.

Agree on the adventure rank rewards. After more than 600days, I recently finally hit AR60. I got nothing but blue sky white clouds when I used that 2 or 3 reward standard wishes, and it felt really....anti-climatic. Uneventful.

Bro I swear I was angry, In general they need to convey a sense of doom and stakes if they wanna sell the story of a fkcn war, and improve execution of reactions of mc

As a Lumine main, I’m tired of not hearing her talk in cutscenes. I know there’s parts where we choose what we say, but they ultimately don’t have much of a difference. Just let Aether and Limune talk for goodness sake! I think if they let Aether and Lumine show more of their personality by talking, people would like them more

I agree but even though their VAs’, they probably have to rehearse every damn line that paimon said and every option quips you choose from at the very BEGINNING TO CURRENT STATE. As well imo they should able to speak when paimon not around mainly. Might as well special events.

all very good points. it's a shame sometimes when you say this elsewhere you'd be shutdowned by the fandoms for being "ungrateful", the monotone loops of the game that are made more irritating by RNG on RNG does not get balanced by the pity system or "intriguing" story, at least for me.

@@zacharytan1883 You post the idea to discuss at the end of the day . Even if people hate it , it still their opinion at the end of day . And yes it could affect casual in a bad way because the game could turn competitive and you actually have to farm artifact and skill to get the juicy primo.

Having to collect mats for Candance and Cyno got me thinking about expeditions. It would be nice if ascension mats were part of the reward pool. I just set all my characters on ore and mora because I don't need the other stuff, but it would be nice if I could send them out for scarabs, redcrest, and the other stuff.

I think they need to work on the daily commission system. Some of them are "complete x task" which is bland but effective, can get boring quickly if it's the same spot/style too many times in a row. But what really grinds me is that some are like mini story quests, and those get tedious super fast spamming through the dialogue for the 20th time while other ones I haven't even seen yet in the same region. The game needs to prioritize commissions you don't have all the achievements for first, and actually follow up on the multistage ones so it's easier to follow the story thread.

@@applel2.043 no its not if you consider how many characters are available compared to the release of the game. And fragile resin should also be upped because at release you only got 120 resin. At that point fragile resin restored 50% of it. It just makes sense to increase it so that you can fill up your resin about 50%

One main thing I don't like is artifact domains (I imagine I share this opinion with many others) Like I dont mind weapon, talent or ascension domains as I know what I will get from those ones will be useful to me. However artifact ones COULD give you something awesome, but most of the time its either average or garbage, which is why I personally just settle with "that will do" artifacts.

@@impendio ONE silver lining for you, Raiden does slightly more damage with an ATK goblet than an Electro goblet since she gets so much Electro damage bonus from her ER that you get diminishing returns so it's actually better for your Raiden that you're using an ATK goblet...though the artifact problem is still true hahaha

@@theazfar921116 Thats just straight up mis-information. Raiden usually have atk buffers such as bennett and sara and optimised raiden builds only run 220% ER. This means atk buffs get less value and make dmg% slightly better, even with kazuha.

I agree completely, I saw a comment before that said that theres way too much RNG for artifacts. First you have to get the set that you want, then hope it’s the right piece, then for goblet it has to have the right stat, then you need the right substats to begin with and then pray it rolls into the substats that you want. You could have the PERFECT set up but just lose out from one or two bad rolls

Geo + Dendro should have been a root and I will die on that hill Also I REALLY WANT AN UPDATE TO CO-OP Like co-op specific quests that won’t add anything major to the story/plot line but something, I wanna do quests with my friends ;-; Also they should totally make more skins, or like customizable cosmetics for characters, for example each character has a few hairstyles you can choose from, or for completing the hangout events and story quests you can get some special cosmetics for the characters They have many options and I wish they would explore more of them

I think they should implement the system they have for the Talent and Weapon domains into the Artifact domains, where you can only get one of the two featured sets on a certain day. I feel like that alone would be a massive improvement.

I think its great but I can also say I would get annoyed, for more than half a year I just do domains because there is nothing worth putting my resin into so I would be upset if I just waste resin into an artifacts set that is useless knowing there is no better choice this day, you can argue that its already the case and that I would just use the strongbox but idk I like not thinking and just do the domain. I know my case is part of a small part of the community though. I think overall its an uppgrade

@@Grim_Bud you can run few domains, for example Crimson Witch on mondays and then Nobless on tuesdays (or Veridescent, or Husk, or Tenacity, or Fury, i think they all won't be on the same day of a week). Or do resin efficient domains, as Blizzard/Depth, Simenawa/Emblem and Deepwood/Dreams. Or use condensed resin and run domains every other day, as you can spend up to 200 resin for condensed and daily cap is 180. Should be no problems here

@@Grim_Bud make condensed resin on days there's nothing you want. While i make it anyway if i'm gonna do content that allows condensed resin, since it halves the amount of time i need to spend doing stuff, it's also useful for days where there's literally nothing you want to move it a new day for something you really want to farm. Ascension/talent materials have a potential 2 day gap due to having 3 possible materials they have to squeeze in each week, but artifacts would simply alternate the 5* set each day and would be extremely easy to plan for as if you absolutely did NOT want a particular set, you get just make condensed resin on that day, and then dump 2 days worth of resin into the 100% guarantee of the set you want to get. Which is a substantial reduction in resin waste and RNG compared to the current system. Since every time you spend 20 and get 1-2 of a set you're just gonna strongbox because it's a trash set, that resin is wasted with only a small partial refund. Vs at least being guaranteed to get 1-2 of the set you want and strong boxing it anyway because the sub-stats are trash 90% of the time. (but at least that's 1 layer of rng removed).

The artifacts should be less brutal. 1. You can choose which artifacts you get in a domain 2. Remove specific dmg elemental bonus just make it a elemental dmg bonus for all 3.Balance out artifacts bias when receiving an artifact, make it all even when getting pick Not all of the three have to be implemented. They can keep the nine RNG gates for all I care so long as they remove the Resin restriction. I don't mind grinding a few thousand hours for a single decent piece, so long as I'm actually permitted to carry out that grind.

I am with you on resin but that will cause burn out ASAP. I already grind the game but resin will be useful for bosses, talent, and layline. That will over hall the process. Also, why the hell am responding to someone on the internet with a twit longer. I need a job and to snort grass

@@profilepicneeded1706 The only reason I say that is that they've obviously made it RNG hell for some reason, likely some twisted sense of player retention à la sunk cost fallacy. If I had it my way, the RNG would be reduced by three or four orders _and_ the Resin gate would be removed, but no way they ever spring for both. At the very least, pulling away the Resin gate means you can grind all you like and _eventually_ get something, especially given how quickly Domains can be cleared. The "retention" aspect remains, since it'd take a billion and a half runs to get one good set for one character, but we get to save that Resin for any one of the other nine hundred things that need it, and we don't have to wait a full 12-16 hours for a miniscule chance at some tangible power progression for our teams.

Those are some great ideas to fix the broken artifact system. Another one I would like, is the option to transfer substats from one artifact to another. That way, if you end up with an HP% artifact that has nice substats, you can still try leveling it to 20 to see if it comes out OK. Then, if it's good, there's a system to transpose those substats into an artifact that has the main stat you like. This would still keep the RNG in the game, but reduce the number of unusable artifacts you end up with.

Honestly what i would love the most would be the Hangout Events idea,for 4* a free con or copy of it after reaching all possible endings and routes in the hangout event would be great aswel as it wouldn't break MHY's bank anyway PLUS it would make sense right? you hang out with them you help them or have fun going on a date or something you know you make friends with them so obviously they'd join you right? Its logical aswel as it wouldn't ruin MHY's economy. As for the 5* hangouts well giving a wish instead of a copy/con would be fine(a premium wish not standard wish or better yet 160 primos for the players to buy whichever they choose) sine again a wish is not much but it is something at least PLUS again one wish when the worst case scenario for a character you want to be guaranteed is 180 won't break MHY's bank. I did all hangouts with all endings just for the sake of completion but they don't feel rewarding and same goes for most things in game,i wish there were more daily and weekly things to do instead of 20 mins a day of activity, 3 additional quests and 3 bosses every week and Abyss every 2 weeks -_-

I think the first things they should improve is the pull rewards, since 8-9/10 times you're getting useless garbage, and introduce more systems that necessitate more varied rewards, like something that allows to reroll a artifact, transfer stats between artifacts of the same type, sacrifice X artifacts for another of the same set, etc.

1.Bring back the previous events from Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma plus 100 primorgems for each one. 2. Give us a free five star character for each story quest we finished. 3.Banners with a Step count on each one like SAO mobile game.

I think it would be awesome if they take out flat stats on artifacts. Even at max, they are pitiful additions to your damage in comparison to other substats. They're literally there to troll you.

Or maybe, flat bonuses could be added to the base stat, which would impact % calculations. Now that piece you got that rolled all 5 times into flat attack could make a nice piece for your Benny, or maybe flat def could help a Yun Jin or Itto. As they are now, they're absolutely just troll stats, but could easily be made slightly less shit.

Flats just need to be doubled and they'll be competitive with their % versions on average. Right now they're only half as good as they should be, to the point flat atk is just barely better than atk% on Hu Tao. Only Hu Tao.

Two words: Co-op content. Not just the option of having co-op in domains. Co-op abyss. More co-op focused events. And even better, the ability to do co-op for every quest (including story quests and archon quests) in the game

I would really like if Mihoyo made the game easier for new players. It has progressed to the point that I no longer recommend Genshin to friends or anyone because it is so new player unfriendly. :/ If a new player pulls for a character from a new region, they are basically soft-locked at level 20 until they speed run literal hours of content to get to the new region for their ascension materials. The game already has semblances of shops! Like the market vender from Snezhnaya in Inazuma. Make it so they sell ascension materials from their respective regions so new players can still level up their characters without necessarily having to unlock the region. One other thing I would love is for the lore and story heavy limited time events to become permanently available after they end. Or, at the very least, add like a cinema archive where new players can watch the cinematics in game instead of having to rely on external stuff like RU-vid just to see what happened. I joined too late to ever see Scaramouche's debut and I'll be forever sad I didn't get to actually experience that. Likewise, I feel really bad for new players who joined too late and will never get to experience the first Lantern Rite or the amazing Labyrinth event.

Why don't you just go on RU-vid? A platform dedicated to video instead of genshin impact , a video game . Also ,only inazuma are lock behind because lore reason , you could still go to sumeru. Also we have a shop in sumeru who sell inazuma pearl so who to say that mihoyo won't make new shop selling inazuma material.

if you do the test run, your character can reach level 40, and by the time your party reaches level 40, you most likely already completed the Mondstadt archon quest and probably the Liyue one too. The only characters that are "soft-locked" in the early game are the Inazuman characters, because you can still go to Sumeru without doing the archon quest and even then, at the time of this there are only 4 Sumeru characters released. And if by some reason your whole team consists of Inazuman characters in the early game, you can still stall the game at AR35 and just not ascend your world level until you complete the Liyue archon quest if you haven't and the Inazuma one at least after you are able to leave Ritou and unlock the other islands. Level 45 enemies vs. your level 40 ones wouldn't be too hard, especially if your characters are decently built, and you'd only be underleveled if your whole party is Inazuman characters, which i think it's highly unlikely... This is the only solution i can find to the problem of Inazuman characters being "soft-locked" and also might not be of fun to the people who like to ascend their world level and characters as soon as they can

as someone who only started playing this march, i would like for more characters to have a part to play in the permanent storylines. this would've been helpful to introduce the rest of the cast to newer players within the game itself, instead of having to go online and search up the fandom wiki. the story quests and hangout quests were pretty helpful in this, but a whole chunk of 4*s still don't have hangouts, and some of the story quests were just a bit... meh (like albedo's) they could maybe also incorporate more of the characters' backstories into the story quests and hangout quests, instead of having us read everything from text in the character profile. it was a bit boring to just read the profile to discover all the lore eh, this could probably engage more players in said lore. alsoalsoalso, the archon quests' cutscenes n stuff are unable to be replayed in-game. for a game that focuses so much on lore, that's just kinda sad that there's no in-game archives for said lore.

a cutscene archive would be great since we have a quest archive with all the dialogue voices etc. but at the same time those take up so much space, i guarantee just taking out all the stuff we already played through would free up 10gb

I played the Windcoming Day on Japanese, and was disappointed because Venti didn't sing, but I heard that he does in English, so I had to look up videos recording that. I wouldn't mind even if the log only remains for a limited time for each event.

Quality of Life sugestion: Make Burning Enemies a Pyro DMG resistance drop, so that Burning targets take even more dmg from Pyro attacks, it would make some characters really good and it actually is a thing in couple of other games and real life If you'll get burned, and then burned again in the same place, that second burn will be more painfull becouse it happend on already burned place

I personally don't care anymore and just farm them all days, I have lots good ones already so yeah not the case for everyone. I think its a huge turn off when you're in a rush and just starting to get them but when you've been doing it for a year its still crap but you don't care.

it’s worth it to note that the Serenitea Pot does have primogem based rewards through creating signature Furniture sets for characters. The only issue with this is that it’s so horribly advertised that most people’s teapot is a bunch of screens just to boost realm currency. IMO: it has the same (if not, worse) return on investment as hangout events. The adventurers handbook should #1: *BE MORE REGULARLY UPDATED* 😡 and #2: have a tab for the teapot that says which characters you’ve given signature sets to, and which ones you haven’t. - or just some way to track progression outside of external methods. idk the Teapot is basically a whole separate game and they do nothing with it, if ever… like the event to give characters friendship EXP was during the teapot shutdown maintainence window where you couldn’t place furnishings… No respect lol

Yeah, I know signature sets exist, but I have no idea what I need for a given character and, like you said, whether I've given any, so I usually ignore it. Some more visibility here would be great. And speaking of Serenitea Pots, I would like the Companion tab when setting furniture to be sorted by Friendship Level (or at least have the Friendship Level printed there). I have no idea which of my characters are Level 10.

I've had this idea for a while on how Geo could react with elements and you have mentioned some. I don't really know what they would do exactly for some of the reactions and some seem to use similar concept to existing reactions but here are my other ideas anyway: Geo + Pyro = Lava/Eruption related, perhaps geo's version of the melt reaction? I was thinking it would act similar to Xianglings C2 where they explode and be slowed cuz lava is thicc. Geo + Hydro = Erosion. Its a natural thing and maybe this could reduce enemy defense or something. but since super conduct does that already, maybe elemental defense similar to VV shred? Geo + Cryo = Hail. idk really but thought it was a COOL (hehe) idea. it would act similar to ningguangs ult but on a smaller scale. Geo + Dendro = Bind. Cuz plant roots just reaching deep into earth made sense. Geo + Electro = Some kind of lightning strike effect is the only thing i can think of really. Geo + Anemo = Sandstorm. Some kind of DoT AoE thing perhaps. Wish they would rework geo to be more exciting to play so it makes having geo characters in more teams possible. imagine the possibilities, as well as memorizing all the reactions lmao

After 2 years of playing, i would like them to add floor 13-16 of abyss with 3 team requirement. Like you said, the last few combat events where a character was "locked" after you used him made me realise that i always use the same 6-10 characters every abyss rotation. That would entice me to actually build/play new characters.

A quick and easy solution to a lot of the grind balance problems is to add a grindable sub currency for the stuff that is (far too) rng driven : billets, artifact rolls etc. Doesn't matter if it may be hard to grind (eg 100 days to finish up enough) but it will help a lot in letting players feel they can overcome shit rng luck with some elbow grease. Right now the rng is so bad ithat the grinding is starting to feel stupid

Crescent is a heftier bonus up front, but the problem is that its a crapshoot if the game will throw you any enemies that you can reliably hit the weak point of, which seems to happen often in Abyss. With Hamayumi, your bonus will be slightly lower, around 10% less comparing R5 for both, but its permanent as long as you have 100% energy, which I plan on since I was aiming to use her in a double melt team. But of course, I can't even try them both out because I have only one bow billet left, and its been over a month since I got any 🤣

Definitely agree with what you have stated. One thing that I would like Genshin devs to implement into the game is visual timers for elements. I know that it’s not necessarily needed, but it is a much welcomed add on rather than having none. I am confident that many players would like this feature as well. I would like it to be similar to how Honkai has been providing visual timers for their in game buffs/ effects and stigmata sets/ Honkai’s version of Artifacts. For those that don’t know how it looks like, it is displayed with a icon of the buff/effect while a orange ring representing its allotted time, slowly dissipates. When completely gone, a light blue ring appears this time representing the cooldown of said buffs/ effects what have you, if it has a cooldown.

I think one of the best things they could do is copy some aspects of its sister game, Honkai Impact 3rd, and implement it into its own system. People may point you to things like Memorial Arena or the Elysian Realm for that, but I think a fun challenge would be doing something like HI3’s Chapter 11. Throughout it, you play as Bronya and unlock various characters to aid you from a small pool, like Himeko, Seele, and Fu Hua, while also offering different weapons and stigmata (HI3’s version of artifacts) from a special type of Gacha that has a small pool as well. Making this into a feature Genshin has that resets the pool of characters, weapons, and artifacts we can get every three weeks or so would be amazing, and would incentivize people to get creative with what they have instead of defaulting to the meta.

Regarding Geo: It's also unsettling that the element has pretty much nothing to do with what the vision actually does. Geo might most of the times just physical damage. There could be so much potential with using sand and rock constructs to attack, but then there's characters like Itto and Gorou that are Geo for really no reason. Also a little dream of mine is seeing a character turn to sand while sprinting just like Mona and Ayaka!

I definitely agree with the old video and this one. As someone who played week one and immediately dropped it only to return a year and a half later and continue playing because I got C1 Kazuha it was very annoying to go through with the levels getting higher and higher and not being able to level up Kazuha until 4-8+ hours in game to get to Inazuma. Now I’m struggling to stay interested even though I’m probably half way to most of the way through Inazuma because there’s nothing but talking and little reward for doing the main quests

I've been thinking about Dispatch Expedition. I dunno about anyone else, but farming character and talent ascension items like Arrowheads, Oni-Kabuto, and Cores is kinda a pain. So why not add it to the existing Dispatch Expedition? Send characters out to gather the items for you. If the current maps are full or if Mihoyo fears people might grind the heck oughta this, how about a Commission-style dispatch? It's weird to do commissions but not be able to post ones ourselves. In exchange for Mora, Food, Ingredients, or Ores (the stuff the player themselves get as rewards,) you can just post a request with Katherine or send characters out. And because it requires resources players also need, they'll have to balance their resources so the feature can't be grinded to hell. Or, it can reward players who save up or grind a lot since they can make requests without worry. That's what I think, anyway.

In terms of daily grind i feel like they can rework the “ regional bounties and requests in the reputation system “ and combine them and make something called “ side commissions “ where you get 6 daily side commissions each obtaining meaningful rewards like mora/weapon crystals/artifact essence/local specialties/5 star artifacts/ character exp cards/ fragile resins and a lot more all based on tiers “ easy / medium / hard “ ofc the harder the commissions the longer or more complicated they are and the more rewarding they become. each day you can do up to 6 side commissions i think which gives players a better and meaningful yet optional daily grind where the gameplay doesn’t become to repetitive and dull and get most players burned out

I like the minimal needed daily play time of Genshin as I don't have much time to play. The one thing I wish is that there was and endgame play loop. Back at launch I had to learn optimal play to beat abyss full stars. Now i just plow through mindlessly as a low spender. I don't spend any money anymore since Raiden.

Geo's reaction should really be the archaic Petra artifact set. It still keeps the defensive nature of the geo element while adding a more supportive/aggressive component to it. Also allowing geo to react with itself and make a weaker geo shield would be greatly appreciated. Another step they can take this is that geo can create a shard for every element. That way it gives geo a niche no other element has, restricting geo further makes it harder to slot or even justify a geo in any team.

Getting constellations from character quests and hangout events would be excellent. I also think it should be impossible to pull a character after you've C6'd it, I've C6'd Sayu on the current banner and I've pulled her at least 3 times since C'6ing her, and she's the absolute last character I ever wanted to see in my pulls again, I have no intention of ever using Sayu and while I'd maybe consider giving her a go at some point, seeing as I've C6'd her, but the fact that I've pulled her about 3 other times with 5 starglitter to compensate is awful, I'd rather have pulled a 4star weapon or not even pulled a 4 star at all, at least I can use 3 star weapons for XP, pulling Sayu just wastes my guaranteed 4 star pull, hell, if I pull her any more, I may just give up and start pulling in the standard banner instead, if I'd spent all the 10 pulls I'd spent, taking Sayu all the way to C6 on the standard banner, I might have got a new character, or even a constellation to a character I would actually use.

5 teammates in Genshin I'd the equivalent of 5 moves for Pokemon. Wolfey made a great video on this. Tldr, the game wasn't balanced around 5 man teams and as such would lead to more harm than good , think double hydro Tao with Zhongli and anemo shredding/grouping or Rational with anemo , freeze with Shenhe on every single team, the cooldowns won't match up as well and the list of issues goes on and on imo.

As a newer player I've been going really hard at this game and having lots of fun. Finally hit Adventure rank 45 so for the first time I'm grinding an artifact set. Now after almost a week of logging on every day and using all my resin in the same domain without getting a set worth equipping for a single character I'm losing motivation. I just don't see any progression at all, and no end to the grind in sight. For the record I'm not even trying to get a perfect set, just Shiminawa's for my Yoimiya with at least the main stat being right for each piece. I don't even care if the secondaries are bad. Just a bare bones set worth equipping over my random non set pieces I have already.

I love the stellar fortuna for 4* hangouts idea, and it could be intertwined even better with daily commissions being more rewarding - the key cap for each character can be raised, so it's more than 3, and you need that amount of keys for Each ending that would give you a constellation. So that way it's not insanely easy to just grind all your 4* to C6. Each key needs 8 commissions, one hangout constellation can cost, say, 5 to 10 keys to unlock. Maybe the higher it is, more keys it needs. That way it would take at least 10 days to unlock 1 constellation for one character. Which is a good balance between a definite reward that keeps you coming with a reason, and it not being brain dead easy. And you don't need All your 4* to be C6 so you have a choice, maybe aiming for specific constellations. And pulling characters is still rewarding - it just means less grinding resources spent on hangouts and these can go to another character instead if you're lucky. This feature can also only unlock after you pull a character. So without having them, you can't just get them for free. You can still hangout with them, but without a constellation. Once you pull them, the feature unlocks. Could also be an alright idea to give one constellation for the 5* story quests, but that's less necessary/more gratuitous. Could incentivize to pull for more constellations, knowing that well, you already started, so.... or pull for characters whose quest you finished, but don't have the character themselves yet. So you Know you have a reward right there just waiting for you, but only if you pull for that character, making the want to pull for as many as possible even more present. Gatchas be gatchas

I really liked the lockout mechanic during the Chasm event! I think a permanent rougelite system that incorporates lockouts, buffs, debuffs, trial weapons/characters etc. would really incentivize players to build more characters, try out new things, and have more opportunities to earn rewards!

I somehow like the idea of a daily raid boss that changes after a week. And those raids are epic version of Zhong Li, Raiden or maybe even someone like Kokomi, Diluc, Shenhe. And the reward are something that let you reroll your MainStats or 1 Substat in your Artefact of choice. Also I would like more co-op stuff and rewards .__.

I agree with your points, tho on the first one about daily commissions, I would actually like to see more connected commissions with nice simple stories such as Tales of Winter, Miracle Medicine, and even Language Exchange, quests that affect some NPC's stories and conditions, it makes you feel like you are actually making progress and looking forward to the next daily commission story, while giving you an achievement or namecard after you finish the quests, and ***Small Spoiler*** for Viktor as an example, his story continues in Sumeru, which is a pleasant surprise for me who missed him after his last quest in Return to Days of Winter

I would argue the game desperately needs some sort of system/mechanic to mitigate RNG in the artifacts. Maybe link it to daily activities to reward actively playing the game and giving the "grind" more impact. For example dailies let you earn an item that lets you re-roll one stat of your choosing on one artifact item. As for the weapons the dailies could include some way to work towards billets. I mean would it really hurt the game if you could let's say earn one billet of your choosing per two weeks? The weapon banner needs a rework. Epitomized Path should only require one failed attempt of getting your desired weapon, not two as is now. And I think it is too expensive compared to characters (weapons mostly make numbers bigger, characters change gameplay). I would say 60 wishes for pity would be more reasonable. Coop: The issue is if you want to make coop more desirable you probably link it to some sort of participation reward. The effect is that SP oriented players will join coop begrudgingly just to get the rewards. So either the rewards do not matter therefore do not make coop more desirable or they are and you get on the nerves of SP players. I would compare the issue to MMOs with PvP and PvE players. PvP players want PvP everywhere but that would drive PvE players away and PvE players only accept PvP relegated to arenas which make it unattractive to PvP players. The fact is the audiences usually do not mix too well.

a long term goal for dailies would be nice! ad combining it with the varied dungeons/content would be a good way to add this goals. definitely #3!! i'd like if they upped the AR rewards and added new levels. why are the rewards at 40+ similar to 50+? and boss drops. i could get 1-2 boss mats at AR 30. but at AR 50 i'm still getting on avg/low end 2 mats?

I would love more variety in combat! This has been one of my main gripes about the game through the year I have been playing. Pretty much since day one I have mained catalysts: Lisa, Sucrose, Yanfei, and Kokomi. They are fairly strong, but nowhere near the heavy hitters like Raiden or Hu Tao. All of my catalyst characters have the capability to be fantastic and fun characters, they are just rarely given the chance to shine. For example, Lisa's held e has some of the highest damage scaling in the game, but there are very few circumstances where she actually is given enough uninterrupted time to pull off this attack. Combat currently is built around dealing as much damage possible in the shortest amount of time, and that pigeonholes many players into using the same few dps characters like you mentioned. There were several time trials that I severely struggled with because my characters simply couldn't put out that much damage in that short a time period. (Lookin' at you, Enkanomiya Aberaku trials...!) Based on my experiences with this team, I really wish we had more varied combat. Instead of time trials upon time trials, give us a boss that you cannot get close to (forcing the use of ranged archer or catalyst characters), give us a fighting challenge where you cannot be seen by your enemy (so instead of hard and fast melee, your play style must adapt to be stealthy and methodical), or perhaps give us a time trial but the challenge is to survive x amount of time (encouraging the use of healers and shielders). Give us anything other than kill x in y time, please!

I saw a comment awhile ago suggesting that the different crystalize drops give different buffs. Eg: pyro gives atk%, hydro gives hp%, etc. Personally it sounds the most interesting way to enhance geo without risking to change current balancing.

the recent shop event was so cool, I wish we could have it like a permanent thing where we give the items we collect and it earns us mora. We add our own details like in teapot and add region special stuff like scarabs, redcrest which our friends can buy from. Maybe have the boar hunt like a weekly thing to get tons of meat and maybe add the recent desert dragons for fowl.

i think it'd be pretty neat if there was a feature similar to shantae's battle tower. basically just a tower with 11 different floors consisting of either waves of enemies or platforms to get cross, accompanied by a countdown. at the exit of each floor were also things that restored your health or gave you powerups. then a reward if you managed to clear all 11 floors before the timer hit zero. it's kinda similar to the abyss, but it could also be used for a co-op racing sort of thing where you could compete against other players to see who finishes first.

i actually had to use barbara recently, bc she applies the precise amount of hydro that i need for cyno. It's really interesting. That doesn't solve the problem, but dendro really bring a lot more options, like thoma burgeon, keqing's comeback, kuki's redemption arc and so on.

i'm all in for any genshin coop improvements. it really sucks that i got into this game because so many of my friends got into it as well, and we can't really have a great experience together in each others' worlds. sure, wishing parties and comparing builds and sharing our artifact blessings/pain is fun, but actually playing in each others' worlds? we can do boss rushes together with stipulations (one of my favorite being fish claymore only or mono element) but really wish there was more. plus, i could never even play with my asia or europe server friends .m i think a big barrier to a better coop experience is how much the characters are built for the single player experience. heck, we have what, *two* characters that provide shields to other players? both being locked behind constellations and one being a five star? that's an entire element of combat that's essentially nonexistent in coop. it's so disappointing. i will never understand why party shielding is so scarce that they added it in only after a few updates, and even then, it was barred behind constellations and specific characters, when it should have just been a thing for all shielders. if anything, coop feels much more like a *novelty* than a central feature, which is just a goddamn shame. let me have more fun coop combat instead of just being able to play hide and seek for a month

I co-op every day, and the only reason for that is to add a little spice to my daily domain runs because without it my motivation to do those domains would be non-existant. I wish there was more for co-op, like monthly cycling minigames or a more "deliberate" co-op system; choose whether you want people to join your, join other people, or either when it comes to co-op domains, or people who want/need help in their world can flick a switch in co-op settings and have their world added to a seperate co-op list specifically asking for help.

I really liked the idea of getting character constellations for the hangout events. Those events are so dull, that I could not bring myself to keep doing them. I've done each one once and that was all I had the patience for. If you got a constellation for each time you did it, I would actually grind them all out. I also really liked your ideas for the Geo rework. I would use Zhongli a lot more if he had more reactions. Zhongli is awesome, but it's hard when Kazuha's elemental reactions are way more effective.

This video is very spot on and i wish that everyone would be more coordinated on what will make this game better for longevity. I think people forget that the only time we saw an actual change to a character was when everyone could agree that zhongli was their worst release in a 5 star and they fixed it now we are so divided on what is good and bad that they dont do anything to improve whats already there.

I swear each time I'm watching one of your video the BGM makes me go into a huge nostalgia trip wanting to play these game all over again. I feel the part about co-op, I got shat on telling me I wish for something Genshin isn't supposed to be, that what I've proposed isn't balanced or that I should play a diferent game altogether. I've just asked for QoL changes such as being able to do quests together, add a "little helper" system with a new currency you gain by doing activities in groups with a special shop filled with lvling materials/maybe 2 gacha pull max with reset every 2/3/4 weeks idk. Expanding the team slots when in co-op for otherworld exploration because you take the world owner space and also because Genshin played with no swapping is actually boring, I understand that domain should have a diferent ruling as it may need strategy for early to mid-game but now since AR50 I just need 1-2 characters. I've suggested raids like Honkai impacts that may involve boss mechanics but its more something like doing missions changing how the game is played to just minions wave or boss battle with gimmicks all done in co-op adding variety into what you can do. My point was people says Genshin is a single player game and should stay that way and told me to F*** off when I've proposed these ideas, To me Genshin is a single player game because the devs just don't do create lasting co-op content but time limited one and doesn't rewards community activity. I then asked Why bother making the game able to be played with other people WITH cross-platform if its just intended to be a single player RPG? I'm sure a lot of people joined in learning you could play with friends ultimately noticing you actually "waste" your time doing so. (want to explore sumeru with friend? gets fucked you spent 2-3 hours helping puzzle and doing chest for your friend now do it again in your own world) Their answer was why not? The biggest way the Genshin community interacts is out of the game,(reddit/twitter/youtube/discord/nsfw sub) the game is able to make the community interact Ingame but in its current state it is not interesting to do so and there is no point in joining stranger's world other than helping a lower AR person or asking for mats. I just wish the game would be more community oriented in game. I've replayed ff14 thanks to a 2weeks return and the game now can be played as a single player almost all the way to max with interaction (bots are given for dungeons if you want to) but the best part is interacting with like-minded people discussing the latest story-bit or go do an activity with someone you've never met because you've been chatting together for a while after they told you your character looks good. I wish I could have the same feeling of connecting with someone in game and just chill doing stuff in Genshin having a good time, but the limitations are there. Rant over, sorry and thank you for reading.

I would add camera improvements, like urgently. If I'm using Tighnari and I'm fighting a flying unit, the camera zooms for the aimed attack and shoots okay, the thing is if I'm looking above when I'm out from aiming mode the camera defaults to the previous distance but looking up, hence I'm suddenly surrounded by grass, and all I see is my censored butt. This also happens a lot when you're fighting on a slope, especially in Sumeru and even more if you're inside a cave. The combat cam option doesn't help much there.

I've been playing Darksiders 2 lately and it just struck me with it's Possessed Items system! These are specific rare weapons and just like in genshin they can be upgraded using other weapons and when you level it up you get to choose from 4 options to add one new stat or upgrade already existing one(It's still not perfect though, don't really know why but sometimes it gives you options with degrading numbers, which can be really frustrating, I had to choose from stats that I don't need and crit chance which is lesser than one I already had 🤷‍♀️). Would be great to see something like that with artefacts in genshin..

Idk if there's much to improve but if I was given reign tomorrow and told to make things better 3 things off the bat, would be changed 1st: Traveler will speak. The banner/rerun system will change. Artifacts farming, things like locking in and rerolling stats. Just QoL things really. Then there's the fixes to certain characters, especially ones like Xinyan which to my knowledge is still broken to this day haha.

Traveler not speaking was not one of their brightest decisions lol. What couldve been a compelling hook into the story became pretty much a bland NPC. Xinyan's 'bug' is just a high ping issue, like the Echoes set

I’ve thought about this idea for soooo long and I’ve seen no one talk about it. Why not have a “sandbox” mode for abyss. By that this is what I mean: You can design your abyss floor with the enemies and buffs/debuffs you want. Customize the HP and damage of enemies. And when you beat your floor, you can upload it for everyone to play. Similar to how we did in the parkour event. Take it a step further by making it like osu. Get points by beating floors and get rewards by accumulating points. And make a ranking system where the more floors you beat the higher your rank is. I feel like this would greatly increase the longevity of this game and let the community directly involved with the game. And benefits are that not only will this add infinite content, but it also gives players an incentive to grind and get better characters so that they can beat the harder floors.

I would say have all 4* and maybe all standard 5* characters in the master starglitter shop they're still once a month, but no longer rotating. So you can feel a little better on having to roll on a weapon banner and the standard banner yield a bit of a refund aspect for it's huge pull pool. Artifact reworks are definitely needed, they have a whole in lore crafting system and can make use of it. At the very least they can allow you to reset artifacts and return the exp as those vial things maybe at 75% of whatever you put in. For main stats they can allow you to transfer the main stat of anything as long as it's the same slot and level as what you're trying to transfer to make the artifact grind more bareable. As for the grind a selection of enemies that rotate each time you start would be nice. Or they can also just change them to the random event combat types too keep things fresh. Maybe a dungeon mode where you can do a mini rouge-like/abyss run for more rewards at double the resin.

one reaction I could see for geo electro would be grounded; hit an electrod target with geo, chance to cleanse the electro but anchors them to the spot for a sec while hitting them with a big pop

Imo we also need a loadout system, I want to have different builds for my characters but it's confusing and a huge hassle to search for the artifacts and weapons everytime I wanna, say change my kaeya from a physical dps to a burst support for hu tao. It would be much easier if we could switch between loadouts on the character menu

Somehow I expected Dendro to interact with Geo with Petrify, kind of like what Zhongli already does with his burst, I hope further down the line Geo gets his (2nd?) rework.. Also Co-Op content could be a bit better, I remember someone mentioning I think it was Zajeff about taking a system like Bounties to incentivize multiplayer, rewards is Mora and you have to work around whatever property the enemy has with rewards only being Mora a 4th tier or even more could be unlocked on multiplayer.

Abyss, they should make it that for each floor you need a different team. That way on one floor you can go national team and Ayaka freeze, but anyone you used there you cannot use for the other floors. That way you are encouraged to use other less used characters, like Klee or Razor

while I feel like this could work there are a few issues with this idea (as far as I know at least) 1. abyss is already insanely hard, especially for f2p's who didn't start playing sometime around 1.1 due to the difficulty of the monsters. 2. f2p's and low spenders probably won't have enough characters to make 8 teams of 4 characters (32 characters) since we don't even have that many 4* characters currently. 3. each of the characters you use in the abyss has to have at least mediocre artifacts, and for floor 12 good ones, and with how there are not that many characters who can actually use the exact same set and pieces. these are the biggest issues I see with this idea, but I do agree that we need a higher incentive not to just run Raiden national and a freeze team, since I can't think of any reason not to do this outside of personal attachment to characters and their playstyles and not everyone having the characters to make these teams.

I think something like hyakunin ikki or something similar with coin to buy in shop event, and reset weekly or bi-weekly with rewards like ascension mats, mora, exp book, just to help newly player for characters ascension. I legit cannot see how new players likely to ascend their new owned specific region characters (other than mondstadt or liyue)

hopefully the tcg makes co-op more fun. I'd love co-op raid bosses though, like you get to keep your own 4-man team with only one character on the field, and fight a boss with other people. i hate how co-op makes me lose my team members; i dont build characters to be 100% self-sufficient without team buffs/effects and i imagine most other players don't either, so it just makes no sense

genshin should definitely tap into the MMO dungeons for coop like mechanics that you need atleast two players to open switches to open doors or one person disables the trap while the others fight the enemies, its a simple thing but it brings out alot of interesting ways to go with simple coop events

12:45 it should grant more freedom, like people who join your world can basically do what they want, sometimes even challenge you to fight if they feel like it, rewards they earn from exploring you will gain a small amount unless they give you, or you got it yourself, missions have a join time, if you don't they just go in and you can spectate. basically making a the person feel that they exist there, while adding some reward to having multiple players, to interact with eachother as much as possible.

the issue with content that requires you to use other units is how hard it is to build other units. we're so gated by resin that its incredibly hard to build all characters especially if you aren't a whale and resin-refilling. besides building for meta or your faves, its hard to find a reason to build that chara with a unique kit if you don't care for them and they won't make you stronger. ive been building characters since 2.8 but as a result now ive not got ideal weapons for them and i have absolutely no artifacts so theyre unusable. but whenever i try artifact farming i realize how stupid it is and so i go back to building characters because at least i feel like im making progress. but i agree with the idea that we need varied content. like the diluc skin event where you had to swirl X times or hit enemies with a claymore X times was actually p good. bc it encourages you to build basically one chara of each element and one of each weapon type for that. rogue-like would be great! except for the fact that some people dont have a lot of characters built bc of how hard it is. its a very vicious hate loop. artifacts maybe should take a different stamina system or smth or at this point make it cost nothing bc all you get is trash anyways. the artifact system needs a huge overhaul and the resin system needs to be better as well.

Something cool that could be added to chests would be more food recipes that tackle different stats. Things that boost elemental mastery, energy recharge, movement speed, jump height, etc. These would make fantastic rewards as we've yet to have any food that boosts these stats. They could also have different implementations; maybe you get them as a reward for a long world quest, giving incentive to finish them, or maybe the pieces of them are split between a bunch of different chests which would give incentive to explore an entire region. Honestly I'm surprised they aren't the rewards for reputation quests as it'd be yet another reason to do them! Great list overall though. I agree, Genshin's got a few things they could definitely add that would make the game feel better. It's still a solid game that I love and I think between the events and new regions they often keep me busy but more options and incentives is always nice.

I think they could for example allow for co-op abyss, or where both can progress the story together. Small things like that wouldn't change the game that much, but would allow players to enjoy the game with friends. Maybe been able to where if the host picks a chest everyone gets the rewards, but the chest disappears from everyone's world.

Id love so see a complete overhaul if the paimon bargain shop. Maybe this isn't the best way to change it but I think its a start. Firstly I'd update it so all 4* characters are available and maybe make it a weekly characters rotation with perhaps 3 or maybe 4 characters. I'd also allow 4* weapons to be obtainable in the show. I'd even put them in the same rotation, say every week there are 2 4* characters and 2 4* weapons available in the shop. You no longer have to wait months for a C4 Xiangling or maybe you really want a sac sword for Xingqui there you go. I'd even perhaps make a Standard 5* available that rotates monthly and I'd make it either a standard character or weapons and only 1 up at a time. This gives plays an way to obtain a characters they've wanted but have never gotten through there 50/50 or their first 5* weapon as if you're F2p you most likely never pull on the weapon banner and getting one on standard banner isn't guaranteed. There could even be some throwaway material or items that randomly rotated daily for mora. Like 8 items like say some Ore, Exp Book, hilichurl mask or even a 3* weapon. It isn't the most useful thing under the sun but you figure we get mora and honestly as someone who's played for 2yrs you kinda never need mora anymore. I would like to see obtained weapons being easier. I've been actively trying to lvl every weapon I possibly can to max lvl since late winter early spring if this year and it's interesting how much you never realize obtaining all weapons is not even let alone their refinements. To this day I've never obtained an "Other worldly stories" and I've explored every region. Weapon banner 4*s are impossible to try to refine, I've spent nearly 200 pulls on current weapon banner and haven't obtained the new Claymore, I've actually not gotten the Fav Bow or Lance once despite their rated up. I've exclusively gotten the Sac Frag and lions roar, I've managed both banner 5* without seeing 3 of the 5 rate up 4* weapons. In essence shop changes I think would benefit everyone just from making not premium items/characters more obtainable. Would also give players something ti look forwards to rather than just spending your stardust on more pulls

geo reaction concepts: pyro - some form of burning-esque status hydro - mud, basically slows down opponents like the oozing whatchamacallits (in the chasm) do to us. for bigger opponents maybe just slows down their attack speed and doesn't slow down their movement? dendro - enhances dendro somehow? idk dirt is good for plants electro - nothing comes to mind but perhaps some sort of res shred?? anemo - sandstorm (the usual swirl situation) cryo - inflicts cryo dmg over time? like the ground is frozen. alternatively just expands shatter to occur regardless of if the opponent is frozen or just has a cryo aura

A couple of problems with giving geo reactions: first geo characters scaling is already at least somewhat tuned to the fact they don’t get reaction damage like vape or melt. Second, Geo already has an established identity as an independent element. It’s the only element in game that’s best played in mono teams. Giving it new reactions could undo that. There are only two ways to make geo stronger without abandoning established identity: One - make content suited to geo like say a game mode that spawned an infinite amount of random mobs where the goal is prolonged survival. Two - make crystallize give elemental damage to both geo and the crystallized element. I know this is already accomplished by the archaic Petra artifact set, but using this set means forgoing the husk set which is just better for geo, and given that geo is easily the weakest element in game, giving it a buff like this to catch it up with pyro, hydro and cryo wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Agree with most of what you stated and I especially like the idea of being able to get a single constellation via some kind of free to play stuff... they could even start designing characters with that in mind and from a business point of view that 'first hit' is more likely to make players reach for their wallet to buy one or two more :o On the topic of dailies, I honestly think that expeditions are wasted potential... think about it: you can only send each character on one expedition but you can do multiple at a time. It's perfect grounds for encouraging more widespread use of characters if you fleshed it out to some actual content :o What if instead of just sending individuals you sent parties (1-4 characters each) and each was a combat event? You could choose expeditions of varying difficulty too (so you can still send weaker teams out on easier expeditions if you haven't built them up yet) They came so close to doing this but without the combat in the event where you were hunting vishaps via expeditions :p

1) I wish the movement felt more responsive and fun instead of you know gliding and down plummetting with no ability to shift course (you just plummet straight down) awkwardly climbing obstacles during combat, better "dodge" animation in combat etc 2) Artifact farming improvements, maybe a way to reroll substats or main stat. Perhaps a smaller cost for resin? 3) Traveler outfits lol 4) More endgame activities? All there is right now is domain farming and Spiral Abyss! 5) Make co-op less restrictive, I hate having to leave world because my friend can't open statues or interact with Katheryne, and when i'm in my friends world I can't interact with their world 6) When my friend was new his first 4 star was Sayu, but he was not able to raise her levels until he could find materials in Inazuma, I think that's an issue. But I'm not sure how to fix it 7) Quest log on side of the screen showing like up to 4 tracked quests 8) More character body types in general, but this game needs some good serious muscle so the community can stop taking about Xiao's non-existent biceps lol I have so many more suggestions, but those are probably the main ones, Hit me up Mihoyo
