I have a 2021 Challenger widebody Scat Pack and I drive in Track Mode from start up and hardly ever hit the highway. I average 11 MPG. 2400 miles on it since December 22nd and I've changed the oil twice (Royal Purple) and it's due pretty soon (in my book) and my stock rear tires are about half gone. I'm old and have a few dollars. Not a big deal for me, but to the younger guys? I hope you have a great job.

Agree with everything you said. These points also apply to higher trim Mustangs and Camaros, GT and SS respectively and above. My GT is slightly modded and I'm definitely in the 500 hp club.

You have to learn how to turn a wrench in today’s society with the prices the way they are. You can find almost any and every ‘how to’ on these cars on RU-vid. Obviously, work within your means as far as equipment and skill, but don’t be afraid to do little things on your own such as oil changes, brakes, fluids etc. It will save you money ! Great video. I bought my used 2016 Charger Scat without even test driving it. Now little back ground. I had previously owned a 2006 Charger SRT8, 2011 Charger R/T, and a 2018 Charger GT. So I thought I knew all about SRT's. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Boy was I wrong? 🤦‍♂️ I haven't had any issues being harassed yet. I have owned it for a year and a half. Only problem I was having was peeling out every time I hit the gas. I finally installed ECO mode and it made a huge difference.

Good points for sure. I had the option to get the scat but wanted to fly just under the radar and got the RT. Love it and for how and where I drive, the 380 horses is plenty and no slouch. That gas is serious though and ours is made for 89! I can't imagine all the other expenses plus insurance to go up to what you have on. I did want to ask and totally off subject question.... is that a dodge sun visor in the back and if so, where did you get it🤣🤣 the heat is stupid outside and the black interior be smokin!

I got 21+mpg in Florida with my scat pack.... brought it up to mass. Down to 14mpg average. Sucks in the city.... stop and go ruins the mpg’s! Still love the car though! Blackout! I’ve done 2 hard pulls in front of 2 cops I didn’t see and never got pulled over! Was like no way!!! Was wondering if they understood cause they owned one??? First thing i did to my 392 when i got it was take all the badges off. I tell people its a v6 with a catback exhaust lol only people who own one really know which model it is

I'm tryna get a scatpack 392 Charger. I drove a good few of em, and I drove some R/Ts. I slid a few of em too, so Im used to the power. 9:50 I think thats a good point you made 💯💯 thats how a lot of these dudes wreck them and have em end up on copart, they don't understand throttle modulation, and controlling steering. Kuz RWD is practically the BEST drivetrain.

Facts Sir, you speak facts. 2019 Charger Scat purchased in Germany. Averaged 11 to 13 MPG. Granted drove to work (45K/30 mi one way) between 100KPH/62MPH and 200KPH/124MPH depending on traffic/weather. Currently get about 14 MPG in AZ. Smiles per Gallon baby.Had it up to 19 on a long trip. I did find out my governor kicks in at 176MPH. I was lucky to have a car skills center that I could change my own oil, so about $80-90 per change. Just had it changed here in AZ for $80 (0w40 and WIX filter). BTW, check out oil filter reviews on youtube. Dude cut open several name brands. I will never get another "orange" filter again. Rust on the inside, and very little filter medium. Go with WIX! I did about 7 laps total on the Nurburgring and ate through my pads and rotors within a year. German Jeep dealership wanted 1400 euro (currently $1600) for one rotor, Ordered all 4 rotors / pads (Powerstop) through Rock Auto and paid just under 1K. BTW, love the powerstops. The pads are just as good, maybe better than OEM Brembo, and not as much dust. The all season Pirellli's are garbage. Replaced them with Michelin PS4's cost about 1300 euro, but worth the money on the Autobahn. Not sure if they are needed in the states. I could spin them at 70k on wet road if I punched it in sport mode, but I learned that this car wants to go straight if you treat her right. Anytime I started to get sideways, letting off the accelerator a bit, she would correct herself. Once I learned the car, I was never afraid of her, just the A$$Hats that would pull out in front of me when I was doing 240K/149MPH plus. Yes, even in Germany, they have occasional inattentive drivers. Cost $1700 for 2 year registration in AZ. Apologies for being long winded, but these cars are fun, but there is a cost after the purchase. Car was repainted last month due to damage during shipping, so additional cost of getting a ceramic coat to keep her looking good. Not sure if I would pay for that on a lesser car.

The best advice I can give for maintenance is learn how to do simple things yourself. Me being a mechanics kid I learned how to do oil changes change tires and swap out brakes pretty early on and it's not very difficult to do is just time consuming. But the time is well worth the money you save for doing shit that you know what confidence is done right. Or wrong.... but hey, you can't blame no one but yourself 🤷🏿‍♂️😂

Looking into getting a black widebody like yours in about 6 months to 1 year. I drive a newer 4 cylinder Tacoma now and I am averaging the same gas mileage as you (around 16-18mpg). Furthermore, my expenses for tires and other things you mentioned are around the same considering the size tires I have on my truck. I also have a shop where I could store it. What price should I be looking for? Along with mileage? I have the budget and income for a new one but I would like to save some money if I could. I have a simple cadillac 2.0T. It likes Shell and Sunoco gas. Can't explain it, but she runs noticeably better than say Citco which is also a top tier gas.

I’ve had my daytona 392 for a month and I’ve been pulled 5 times

The last part kind of bothers me. I want to get 392 so I can preserve it for many years to come. I'm ready and willing to baby it, but constant racing harassment from other powerful cars will be annoying and I know eventually it will get me angry and mad. Right now I'm driving Infiniti Q50 and nobody is bothering me, At All. Because I look like just another guy who is driving a ""rental"" Q50 from Hertz or Enterprise 😁. I do want 392 because I know this is the last one of the biggest naturally aspirated engines, but I don't want to bring any attention from other people.
