@@grezzo2Personally, think the game mechanics of Dark Souls are preferable to Bloodborne. I prefer the more methodical combat system to the rally system. This is over simplifying but it feels like button mashing in comparison. From a world design, I feel like Bloodborne is close but doesn’t match DS1, even with the 2nd half issues. I like how much the Souls game punish you for impatience.

@@iammiller5478 Once look at the 10 above RDR2, they are all-time classics that people still play and make videos about, once try all of them, honestly looking at the nintendo and playstation classics this year I might even rate it in 15 or 20, the only rockstar game that deserved to be in this list is GTA IV and ong i agree its 1. the game is peak, once you play these classics and have a true gamer experience like ME, you would know what to rank, Uncharted and GTA V don't even deserve to be in top 40 imo

Mario Kart 8 DX is simply one of the most fun to play games ever. The massive selection of tracks, now a great roster, the incredible soundtrack, perfect controls... it is just so good, there's no denying it. It was a blast to play already when the mk8 vanilla lauched on wii u, and it has come such a long way now.

While these might not be as popular as the games on this list, two I would add are: Metroid Prime - Glorious transition of the founder of the "metroidvania" genre into 3D. Puzzles are fun to solve, and combat is always entertaining. Mega Man Battle Network 3 - Amazing RPG deck builder with a unique combat system and countless ways to customize your battle style. Not to mention the game has a huge amount of challenges after the main story is over that keeps players finding new ways to hone their skills.

Baldur's Gate 3 all the way at 23rd is insane to me, although maybe that is because I am a D&D fan? From a personal perspective I would have loved to see Disco Elysium on the list too, love that game. Minecraft & GTA at second and first spots respectively is madness to me when you are excluding the likes of Elden Ring and Uncharted.

GTA IV is superior in every way. Story, gameplay, characters and game is even more realistic than GTA V that is only played because of it's online version, nothing more. GTAV setting is turned into chaotic online playground that is created on the expense of it's single player story.

Not having Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic which revolutionized dnd rpg games and paved the way for Witcher and Baldurs Gate is a huge oversight. O The Forced Unleashed for being one of the best action adventure titles to have an amazing story with great mo-cap acting.

Some games that would definitely be in my top 20 are Death Stranding Directors Cut, AI Somnium Files, Final Fantasy 7 remake intergrade, Yakuza series, Nier Automata and Replicant, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Witcher 3, Alan Wake 2, Persona 4, Bayonetta, Horizon Zero Dawn, Psychonauts 2, Spiderman 2,Dragon Quest 11, Shadow of The Collosus, God of War 1 ( original),Elden Ring, Ratchet and Clank (ps5), F Zero GX ...

Yeah, no. This needs more than 30 games to make a century list. The Xenoblade games NEED to be on there, Super Mario Oddessey, Super Mario Wonder, OT(Octopath Traveler) both games, Dragon Quest 11, and other that I can't think of from the top of my tongue. But the list needs more games.

IMO, Perfect Dark deserves its continued spot as the highest-rated FPS of all time (although now it isn't visible directly on Metacritic for some reason; you have to go to the 360 version and switch to the original N64 release) or at least tied with the first Halo. It did so many things well and had multiple innovative ideas that were never or hardly used before or since. I still go back to it a few times a year.

It was already the best-selling Switch game with like 40 million sales before the DLC even got announced so it's definitely not the sole reason why it sold so much. Perhaps the DLC helped get like 1 million sales more but that's it

What about kingdom hearts? That game had excellent graphics for the ps2 and allowed people to relive their awesome Disney fantasies. It also had great influence on the action rpg genre, including on games like darks souls and Elden ring in regards to some tough boss fights and the mechanic of timing on when to heal without going into a pause menu to do it

Ico or Shadow of the Colossus should be on the list. Two games with an artistic focus and information minimalism, left to interpretation. These games that inspired both the creator of Dark soul (and fromsoftware's soulslike) and the creator of Nier: Automata, and are a reference for countless game developers, who declared this on the ICO's 20th anniversary.
