Here’s an updated mix of Daniel Jones’s best throws from the 2022-23 season as requested! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zd0GNWK_lCk.html
@@DarkEoqzy well that is his weakness and it’s why he’ll probably never be a WR1 or a WR2, but he does have more value than many think. We have to get a legit WR1.
He's been extremely disrespected since he got in the league, but I think if he got a glorified WR1 he'd be a very solid QB. He's one of the best running QB's around, and can actually throw better than people say, just needs a better supporting cast.
@beastmodegaming5551 bingo! They put too much stock into those other guys that had no heart. Slayton missed games and still led team in yards. He's gonna cook those 2nd and 3rd Dbs this year.
Lmao! Yeah, I’ll take my “garbage” QB any day and everyday of the week! Kid is a stud! Love, love , his tenacity! Smart, accurate, fast…..lot of people gonna eat crow this season!
First, thank you for putting this together. Second, it shows how good Daniel Jones can be if his receivers catch the ball. Third, Darius Slayton was a much better receiver his rookie year. Fourth, Daniel Jones has shown he can escape pressure. And finally, Daniel Jones can be an elite quarterback.
Slayton is better when he's not the WR1. This year will be the best receivers he's ever played with if healthy. Slayton is always better than the 3rd DB, sometimes 2nd. Top CBs bottle him up tho. But this staff schemes very well. Even last year he had over 700 yards while missing 2 or 3 games.
His accuracy is unbelievable. Big things coming. I will be there to tell you, "I told you so". I can't believe football people cannot see that this guy has rare passing talent & he can run like lightning ⚡
Jones is a really good QB. His offense and receivers-aside from Slayton who is good but not nearly enough-fails him. Hodgins was a nice pick-up, but route tree takes way too long to develop, not enough use of the seam, crossing, RPO, and the flat. His pass blocking is not good enough for this type of offense, and his receivers aren’t big and physical enough to play that type of game. They really could’ve used an Olave and/or Skyy Moore. Bellinger was a nice pickup but not a game-changer. And in addition, they seriously need more blocking talent, or they really need to adopt an up-tempo offense and pick up some craftier backs and receivers. At this point, it’s really Jones and a so-so Barkley against the world. If you put Jones in New Orleans or Miami or Seattle-with Lockett and Dissly and Fant and Metcalf and Carroll coaching receivers-you have a 30 touchdown passer with a 70% completion. All I’m saying. You have the QB, everything else is the issue.
@@ERizzo5 yeah. By objective measure, he’s in the middle of the pack in performance. Henry, Chubb, McCaffery are the elite at the position. And the numbers indicate even players like Jones, Jacobs, Pollard and Ekeler are more valuable, all at a position with far less impact than QB. Moreover, because Saquon isn’t an elite receiver-like McCaffery-his presence is even more limited with respect to helping Dan Jones. He’s a good player, but obviously, he’s not going to make up for their lack of receivers, predictable playbook and unpredictable pass blocking. This all gets clouded by irrelevant counting stats and his high usage. You take an above-average running back and make him appear elite at a cursory glance, all while your offense consistently underperforms and your above average or better QB is constantly asked to shoulder a heavy load.
@@BasicBobby can’t argue that. His form has dipped tremendously after that great start. I still feel like his skills are elite. I’m curious how much you think the giants should pay him if he’s to get a new contract, if you still want him on the team?
@@ERizzo5 love to hear your thoughts too. I think they’re very close. Their roster has a lot of elite talent, at the most important positions-OT, QB, DL. The problem is, they’re weak in the areas that are extremely difficult to obtain via the free agent market and evaluation-Interior offensive line, linebacker, wide receiver. This off-season and via the draft, I would prioritize acquiring X WR, interior O-Line above all, and pay what’s necessary to retain Dan Jones and Darius Slayton. I’d take a long look at Jakobi Meyers and Mecole Hardman as well. In terms of RB, Saquon has a lot of miles on him and a knee surgery under his belt. I’d make him an offer, I’d consider the opportunity cost and avoid overpaying. An effective committee can be constructed for maybe $7 mill these days between the talent that can be had late in the draft and picked up on the free agent market.
Giants fans hated on Golden Tate saying he was too slow and couldn't get open. I think he was a total badass. He made some of the best catches in traffic for the Giants.
I have been fighting with my family since his rookie season about how good this kid is. Whenever he was injured the team could not complete a pass no matter who was in the game replacing him. His legs are a great part of his game, BUT, he is one of the better downfield passers in the game today. This year (IF) we give him a little protection, he will silence the smart football people. The asses in the media who played football but seem to not know what they are talking about. The offensive line has been a joke. You could have put Tom Brady back there and he would have gotten killed. Daniel this will be your year if the line gives you some time. Go get them.
You can tell how much He improved in 2022 and Jones deep ball is very good im glad to say He will be our franchise guy a few years ago I thought he was a bust but he proved everyone wrong in 2022 and I think he will be fine in 2023 with all the weapons the giants have now
And they say he can’t throw 🤷🏾🤷🏾🤷🏾 and he’s owned Washington, He has WR nobody else wants 2024 we finally got hope I love what schoen has done getting him some pass catchers.
With Slayton and Hodgins and Waller and Hyatt and Campbell and Shepard and Robinson and Wheaton and Bellinger it’s should be interesting DJ will definitely be throwing a lot more deep balls Giants are going to ball out this season BLEED BLUE 4LIFE
Wow, is the ball is severely underrated just like someone else’s side in this office he is only going to get better, especially with the weapons. He finally has now Slayton is going to be his slot receiver for the most part, I could see Jaylen, Hyatt and Parish Campbell is wanting to switching with Hodgins He likes to use him on third and three possibly get the first down because he’s good at running routes, but they could also possibly run like a jet sweep with Hyatt( I heard he may return kicks, solar points, or both) or Campbell and I don’t know about you guys, but I heard a lot about this kid Wheaton, he’s a rookie free agent Who had amazing numbers at the combine(6’4 ran a 4.3 I think had amazing measureable ), but for some reason his production reading was like 50 so if dabols could light a fire under his ass, he could be deadly, but man my dude -Bellinger looks jacked put him with Darren Waller. I love 9 Our tight end group now or better yet maybe full back to with bellinger looking like he chops wood In between practice - Dude go like 22inch arms
Give the new coaching staff time, and the gm time, next off season, they will have one biggest cap space in NFL,this Jones one season with real coaching staff,a real backup qb,he not lighting up league in yards or tds,but playing within his playbook, look like they make playoffs as wide card,if they win the wide card,or even if they don't this one in the playoffs, next yr it completely different season,if they spend the right way, draft the right players, barring injuries.
I hated it draft day... but ive been team danny dimes for years. Was in Minnesota and I told all the vikings fans that were talking shit about jones "you are going to learn to respect daniel jones today!" and boy did they. Give the team a nice hometown discount so we can keep you and barkley and the defense together for years to come
You give Danny Dimes a somewhat respectable o-line, give him some weapons on the offensive side, Daniel Jones can do his part, and more IMPORTANTLY than that? Give him a HC that believes in him, a HC that can camouflage his weaknesses and focus on his strengths (WHICH HE HAS NOW) Daniel Jones will be a pretty solid quarterback in the NFL , he'll probably never be in the class of a Tom Brady, an Aaron Rodgers or a Peyton Manning, let's be honest, he won't be, but if u build a decent team around him, he can absolutely be a QB that will compete whenever he steps onto that football field
Bruh y’all really don’t get it. I mean I’m not saying his Tom Brady. But the man had shitty offensive lines his first 3 years and his best receiver has been Darius Slayton who is like a WR2. Over his career he’s actually statistically one of the most accurate deep ball QB’s in the league.
@@josephrios3481 are you kidding me! danny can throw with the best of them and he threw a dime to one of the fastest recievers in the nfl (john ross) under throw my ass
@@helpinwithwords2065 lol I agree with u I’m a Danny fan, I meant to slander golden saying that Danny wasn’t a franchise QB but I meant Danny had to pull his throws so golden slow short ass would catch them
boy they had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for 30 of them. Hes thrown more INTs than good plays. He's the WORST red zone QBj I've seen in my +52 years of watching the NFL
