Great content as usual. Two questions will stevia in black coffee break ur fast?? Also when you drink coffe do the flavored coffee ex French vanilla if those types black will it break your fast?
Love that you know that Splenda kills healthy gut bacteria. I can appreciate that your knowledge isn’t about asthetic gains, but health and long term gains as a whole. Beautiful!
I’m scrolling through the comments and I can’t believe not one person here is not impressed with how he flew through the pronunciation of those chemical compounds. Guess I’m the only one who took chemistry and struggled with names.
I have been learning about intermitent fasting and really appreciate what you're sharing about it. However I have watched others talking about it too...Specifically Dr. Rhonda Patrick on the Joe Rogan podcast and she suggests that coffee/tea of any kind breaks a fast. She's not just talking about the cream or sugar in coffee. Thoughts?
I grow my own stevia plants. I add a few fresh leaves or a pinch of the dried leaf powder to plain tea if I want a little sweetener. It's a plant like mint leaf so I'm not sure of the science of its overall effect on a fast.
There are so many people posting their fasting experiences and how they did it, what they did or did not do... One main thing they have in common is it doesn't seem to matter... Drink only water, drink water and coffee, drink green tea, coffee and water... Its up to you. But nothing will work if you don't just do it and pick your path. IF videos go all the way back to 2014 so there are a lot of testimonials that drank coffee/green tea while fasting. Plus this guy is not as opinionated as he is scientific. Love him! And I trust what he says big time.
Yup saw that too, in Joe Rogan's podcast. With this nutrition stuff, it's impossible to know who to believe these days. Not too long ago fitness people were hysterical about eating every 3 hours
Dr Eric Berg says the same as in this video. Many more traditionalists say to only consume water. The work Dr Berg has done is looking at what turns on insulin and non of the drinks recommended in this video turn on insulin. Ronda may be looking at additional benefits to only consuming water.
Believe the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA). This research has been in there since 1916. It’s nothing new. And both Dr. Ronda Patrick and this guy get their info from there. Put your faith in empirical data. Not personalities.
I’ve realized that hot water and lemon or lime (depends on which one I have at home) both help to reduce the “hunger” feeling when fasting. Is this also good to continue doing on a daily base?
Thomas, regarding Cream of Tartar and the Potassium content. It has about 850mg per teaspoon (4 grams), however, the recommended daily intake (RDI) for potassium is 3,500-4,700 mg of this mineral per day....That would be more than just " a little" cream of Tartar.... the potassium in Tartar is Potassium bitartrate.... there are many forms of potassium, you have potassium gluconate, aspartate, chelate, chloride, phosphate, bicarbonate, citrate, and orotate. Potassium chloride is the most common type used to treat any deficiency. The research I have seen suggests a mixture of Sea salt and Potassium 2: 1, Two teaspoons of potassium Chloride ("No Salt" is a great source of this particular Potassium) to 1 teaspoon of good sea-salt in 4 cups of water per day along with any other water you may feel the need to drink, and that should help anyone in Keto Avoid feeling weak or dizzy or the Keto flu......I would love to hear your thoughts on this and really appreciate your channel.
Couldn't se how to add a comment on the facebook version, but wanted to say that besides cream of tartar, I discovered pure potassium in the cooking aisle at big grocery stores next to the salt. It comes in little blue Morton salt containers with the label 'Salt-substitute'. Older people with heart problems have been told to lower their salt intake by using this product, and it's pure potassium! I also want to add a comment for older women (post'menopausal): My personal experience with Keto diet...you will lose unwanted fat, but since your body is not making much estrogen, when you lose the fat (where most our estrogen is stored) you will lose your estrogem. I lost 74 lbs, but I lost my breasts, and my bottom (the outer skin of which now hanges down the back of my thigh!), my skin wrinkled up all over, especially my face, my nails stopped growing and became brittle, and about 2/3rds of my hair fell out! So there are choices to make. I feel much better, have less joint pain, have more energy, except when I go back to eating carbs for a day or two (then I feel awful!). And my friends constantly greet me with a worried look, as if they think I'm dying! Lol!
We recommend ACV+ for that very reason. Feel free to check out the benefits of taking ACV in pill form, here: shop.sixpackabs.com/shop/product/apple-cider-vinegar
I strongly recommend taking ACV in the pill form, for this very reason. You can learn more on the benefits of ACV in pill form on our website shop.sixpackabs.com/shop/product/apple-cider-vinegar
Can you take vitamins while fasting? My fasting is usually during sleeping and earlier morning. I am better taking my vitamins and blood pressure meds at that time?
Thomas, I feel nauseous when I drink green tea on an empty stomach. I usually consume matcha as part of a smoothie or with a meal. Why does tea make me nauseous? How do I get the benefits of it while I am fasting?
Vidya, if green tea upsets your stomach, you do not need to consume it. These are just recommendations of what you can drink during your fasting period, that will not break your fast.
Thanks for you h've given some grt tips during intermittent fasting, Sir! I wanna know what can I take raw turmeric during this time? Pls let us know. Thanks once again
Great video, very thankful and appreciate the service you are providing!! Anyone, thoughts on iodized sea salt? The great Ron Williams recommends using it for the iodide nutrient and so I’ve been adding it to my gallon of water.
While I do not fast to look better I personally find it very difficult to maintain a fast if I drink (cofee) caffeine, also the nervous system is affected and injuries tend to be more noticable (bc my nerves are firing) and mind is not settled like with tea but that my experience. Their are also negative spiritual effects involving energies/ frequencies with coffee that are worth investigating if u want to b the best u and tap into the higher things
What about food grade diatomaceous earth? 1 table spoon with big glass of water. Full of silica, calcium, magnesium and a ton of other minerals. And it detoxifies ect...
Thank you so much. You answered a lot of my questions. I wondered about amino acids. I search the web for answers and basically got a run around trying to find the answer. 🤗🖒
In one gallon of water, I add a tablespoon of Himalayan sea salt, one tablespoon of No Salt (for the potassium) and a scoop of nutricost magnesium citrate. Will the magnesium citrate break the fast (even though it doesn't say the calorie amount--I assume none; and it has no other ingredients)?
I've read that Keto coffee (with coconut oil and ghee) in the morning is extremely healthy for the stomach among many other benefits. I know that technically it breaks the fast but would it really impede the benefits from the fast if I have a Keto coffee in the morning (around 12 hours in my fast)?
how much cream of tartar can i consume everyday... during intermittent fasting.. and can i have baking soda during fasting for potassium... please help
