Top 5 Abandoned Places in Maine! 

The Big Adventure Center isn't abandoned, that place is still in use. The place was sold and while it was listed they simply stopped caring for the grounds. This was far from a water park as well. The big adventure center started as a laser tag place, with a rock climbing wall and mini golf. they later put in bowling and then when Sunday River got rid of their water slides the owners of BAC purchased them and implemented them there. This place was good when they started but it went though a numbers of owners and they just didn't take the time to do advertisement and proper care of the laser tag equipment. When they stopped taking care of the equipment and people were going in with broken gear and not able to actually have a good time playing is when the place stopped making money.

Iv lived in Maine my entire life and didn’t know about ski lodge. I do know a lot of people who would love to explore the old asylum tho. Being also right next to the state police station makes that nearly impossible tho. The alien house is cool to

Augusta hospital has tunnels underground connecting all the buildings and going outside. It's a crazy place. Def not abandoned either the very functioning new hospital and offices all around it.

Ski resort was called Evergreen not Everglades. This Maine son

Number 5 actually reopened last year for Mini Golf so hope they can make it work. Also like someone mentioned the mansion on the water was owned by a couple who came here lost their son yo a accident on the cliff and left, lots of videos on RU-vid exploring the inside. Also I grew up in Augusta and have photos at AMHI (the building right on the river) and I'm not sure about "alarms". There is security though. Thanks for informing me its one or if not the oldest in the U.S I didn't know that.

Trevor, you have what could be an interesting idea. However, if I could offer some advice. Try spending a little more time describing each location in greater detail. Also , spend more time working on and practicing reading your script and please throw away the gum….

Amhi is NOT abandoned! Their are still offices in use and Riverview has become its new name! Yes there was abuse in this hospital ! Loss of life as well! There is in fact a mass grave on the grounds with over 200 people buried in it that no one has been able to acutely locate! There was a class action Law suit against the hospital that was won. This created the Consent Decree! I know so much about this place because I am a class member of that Consent Decree! I was one of many who suffered abuse in this place! Physically and sexualy! I was there when the old woman died because the place was so hot! I advocate to prevent the Adolescents unit from ever being reopened! The hell those walls hold should forever romaine closed! The ducks that are under ground that lead to all the buildings on that campus!
