Exploring an Abandoned 1980's Futuristic Mansion - Found Creepy Kids Room..

One of the most unique and confusing Abandoned mansions I've ever explored. Once owned and built by one the wealthiest Rabbi's in America, this mansion was built in the 1980s, with every brand new appliance of the decade included. The liminal concrete walls in the foyer make me feel alone and small while looking up at the 20 foot ceilings, with the 2 ornate light fixtures swaying above my head. The environment is one to take in, from the overgrown pool with vines hanging all over the walls, to the eerily left behind children's room, seemingly taking you right back to Sesame Street with all the characters still taking residency inside.
If you enjoy the video leave a thumbs up and subscribe for more exploring content !

The Thermatronic II oven came out in 1977. The Nu-Tone intercom/music system is from the 1960s and 1970s. This house is from the mid-1970s. Very cool find. With the old school TVs and VHS players, there's no way this is a 2020 abandoned home. It looks like a 70s build, 90s abandoned house--though it may have been an elderly owner that didn't upgrade. The basement, with the removed lower walls, means it was flooded at some point, and the drywall had to be removed because of mold.

A Jewish family explains why they have more than one refrigerator. They don’t mix meat and dairy, so they have a fridge for both. Same with having two sinks, one for meat and for dairy. That oven at 30:26 is a double oven. My family had one, too. The bottom of I’m not mistaken was a proofing drawer for rising dough.

A Jewish Family? Nobody cares what their damn religion is. I don't care if they're Pentecostal and where dresses and skirts all the time or if they're Free Will Baptist or if they even worship Satan. I could care less what their damn religion is. Who cares. It seems like no one talks about anyone's religion unless they're Jewish. Who cares I could completely I couldn't care less....!

Kosher means you don't mix meat and dairy for your meals (amongst other things). You can't put them on the same dish/plate, but you can have them in the same refrigerator. Not all Jewish families are rich and can afford more than one refrigerator. My family had a refrigerator in the kitchen and one in the bar area, one in the garage, plus a freezer for meat/extra frozen stuff. My stepfather just liked to have extra room for food and easy access to his beer in the garage. I am guessing it was the same for that family, as their house was likely built around the same time my stepdad and mom built theirs (early 80s). I think that was kind of the thing to do back then when you needed extra food storage and had the room in your home for it.

ya most younger explorers I find make the same mistakes. and not knowing what a vcr was approx. 8 min mark. smh. intercoms are more of a 70s 80s thing...fridges look more like 60s, some appliances are older 70s others like the washer/dryer look 90s or newer. the toaster is more of a 60s thing maybe 70s. mostly ppl crazy doing walls n ceilings w wallpaper was 70s 80s. hard to tell the yr of that as 80s is usually several pastels, 70s bolder colours. some wallpaper, furniture, bathrm, and decor def from the 80s.

To find out when a house was built, just go to a bathroom and pick up the lid of a toilet. Under the lid, you’ll see a date stamped in to the porcelain, that will show you when. Give or take a few minutes months… That’s a double oven and warming tray made by Thermador. We had 2 of those in one of our home. The Nutone is an Intercom/radio. Also, built into the counter top, is a Nutone combination, mixer, blender, food processor.

someone may have mentioned this but that desert serenade picture in the kids room at 17:11 is a magic eye, popular in the 90's where a 3d render becomes visible if you unfocus your eyes. this one is a coyote (or maybe a wolf, i guess) howling at the moon

I can't add anything to the wonderful comments by the other viewers, but I just wanted to say that I really enjoy these videos you make. They touch something in me that is hard to put to words. Maybe it would be different if this house had never been lived in, but it's as if the routines of love, life, and work have etched a human imprint on the walls of this house that wasn't just a house, but a home. I don't know, but I just found it all so strangely moving and beautiful, even with the weird wallpaper! I think you feel that as well, and that is why you keep making these videos. Kind of like going through old abandoned malls. The echo of human souls still reverberates and can be felt. Thank you for doing these and I look forward to more of them.

The black plastic case with “Andy” drawn all over the top, in the playroom was a music cassette case. It holds cassette tapes. I had one of those in my time. I’ve learned from other explorers that Jewish homes often have two kitchens , I believe one for meats and the main one for other cooking needs. Very NICE …. It seems that any type of mold can be removed from a property by a professional contractor before it would force people out of a home especially one as nice as this …. Personally I would NEVER have a pool located under the roof of a main house …. Either in a separate building or just on the grounds too often it creates a great potential for mold especially when a home is left empty …. Loving all the character of this well built house ( even though at this point I’ve only seen up to the kitchens so far

That compact organizer that had Andy's name is either a cassette tape or CD on-the-go carry case. Interesting place... remember, after the c-19, many Jews left to go back to Israel... it was a mass exodus from many countries. I like that you, being a young man, can appreciate such a time and the appliances of the day. I was a teen in the 80s, and even I found that wallpaper ghastly!!😳😱 I'll be subbing to your channel. 🙂

The incoming van suggests that there are eyes on the mansion, or perhaps mikes and sensors in the building itself. That might explain its unmolested state 3 years after it was vacated. Congrats on your street smarts for getting out intact without any contact or confrontation.

I was raised on a fruit farm, specifically apples. We had orchards of them. They are in season if they are on that tree…ESP if they are falling off! They are ripe. Apples don’t grow all year round on the trees, and you have a season that you can eat them. It doesn’t work like that. They only grow on the tree when it is the Apple season. Same with ANY fruit. I don’t know of a fruit that grows out of season. However, apples from trees that haven’t been pruned, no insecticide, no fertilizer will produce smaller apples and usually have worms in them. I wouldn’t just eat one off the tree unless I cut it in half first.

I know from growing up near a Jewish family, they always had at least two refrigerators, one for meat and one for dairy, since they could not mix your videos are awesome, it’s really intriguing the houses that you go into and are able to explore, I love the fact that you are so detailed and really do appreciate craftsmanship

Such a beautiful mansion is very poorly wallpapered. While examining the mansion, I imagined how wealthy they lived even back then. No matter how old the house is, even now most people do not have such a house and life. The devices and items are old, but that doesn't actually mean anything. There are still people in the world who do not have these. It's hard to believe but it's true.

Probably lots of water damage. Drywall in the basement was cut at 4' to remove mold and water damage. Roof is old and needs replacing, but nothing that can't be fixed.

The mold only started when the heat and ac was no longer working. When a house is not temperature controlled you get mold. Nice find.

I do think about it quite often how I miss wallpaper back in the day. I appreciate it was hard to put up, but I really liked it and miss it. Especially the fonts and designs of the 80s. Even the flowers of the 90s. Moreso I miss the passage of time and the loved ones lost that it reminds me of. Thus, I can't watch many of these videos. I hope someone decides to love that house again and puts money into it to fix it up. 1980s kitchens are my favorite.

Whoa, it looks like a show house for ugly wallpaper! Reminds me of the saying "Money cant buy taste". 😅 The best looking part was certainly the exterior and the pool house. Its a shame the latter was all locked up (or maybe a good thing...).

🤗I saw the plunger part for a handheld "Salad Shooter" in the kitchen island. I still use mine. I got it in 2005. I love it so much! Well made and lasts forever!!They still sell them. Im Gen x and see some stuff we still have or have had!😊 I loved this vid!! Im going to go back and make sure Im subscribed. I get kinda creeped out tho being a bit of an empath and have to shake the vibe off me after watching these kinds of vids. I get real sad for the past owners and what they must of went thru. Such a wonderful house. Probably full of warm family memories. I hope they are all okay and living happily ever after. Stay Safe and always be in Stealth Mode out there!! 💜

at first I thought the mansion was abandoned 15 years ago, but the water, masks and such makes me think they left this house during the pandemic. Unless the masks and water are from 15 years ago, which I think was doing the Epola scare. I'm guessing Andy was a small kid then, so if they left 15 years ago, I would think he is currently a senior in high school or in his early 20s if still alive. I think Wall Street had a bad year then in back then, which might explain why a Rabbi's family had to leave if their money run dry. Unless they left for other reasons. There was definitely a son, daughter and married couple among the former residents of this mansion based on the rooms. The other bedrooms could have been for either live in help like maids or extended family like in-laws, grandparents and close family friends. If I had money to do so, I would repair these abandoned mansions to their original form while changing things to make them into things like hotels, motels, affordable living areas, community centers and such. I would also hire witches and priests to clear any potential demons, ghosts and spirits.
