I CAN'T AGREE WITH U MORE. MOST LIFEGUARDS R TRAINED ONLY FOR SWIMMING POOLS +NOT TO WORK ON BEACHES ESPECIALLY LARGE POPULAR BEACHES. IT WOULD B A GOOD IDEA TO SEND A FEW OF THE BONDILIFEGUARDS TO SOME OTHER COUNTRIES TO CHECK OUT THE EQUIPMENT THERE + IF NECESSARY GIVE ADVICE ON HOW / WHAT TO IMPROVE
Shout-out to that random woman who saw a kid alone in the water and was like "I'll keep an eye on him". She probably didn't know how long he had been gone and assumed his parents would soon find him.
@@belmarmom true I agree but one time they did a rescue their cpr was wayyyyyy too fast over a guy they resuscitated from a. Drowning it was an Asian male. And then when the guy was throwing up they kept putting oxygen over his face as he’s spitting up. I’m a lifeguard too so I know what they were tryna do but let them finish and then put oxygen on.
IK ITS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY! WHEN I HAVE KIDS IM GOING TO ALWAYS HAVE MY EYES ON THEM !!!!!! Im a kid and I always have my eyes on my mom so I don’t loose her and she doesn’t loose me and I watch my sisters to 😂❤
I actually cried when they found Manny.. That was awesome! My third son, on his first birthday, was kidnapped by his father after punching me and pushing me out of a moving car. I can't even describe the feeling of losing your child. Thank god he returned my son unharmed to my uncle 10 hours later. We were still out searching when we were called by the police saying they had my son.
Oh my gosh I’m so glad you and your sons are okay and hopefully in a better situation now. Domestic abuse is a terrifying thing and we need more support for victims. I can’t even imagine what you went through.
So frustrating to see when children haven’t been watched every second! That eight-year-old girl could have drowned. Her dad didn’t even seem very aware that she was gone… Thank goodness for the Bondi lifeguards!
Worry for a child or someone else is stress added upon her pacing the beach in the hot sun looking for her child, not re hydrating herself, will make many faint. She had no strength to look anymore. They should have gotten her to drink water.
I love watching you guys... It is a whole different world than the Midwest of America... It is so fun to see the bright, sunny beach, the intense surf, and a bunch of brave, sweet life guards!
@ruthrainous3068 Hey some of the great lakes have fairly decent beaches... Bradford Beach on Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, WI for example during peak summer can look just like a beach on the coast! Believe me I know it's not the same, but sometimes for just a moment on an especially hot and sunny day with the gulls cawing overhead and the sound of the surf, you can close your eyes and almost imagine that the water is briney and smell the salt in the air. As a lifelong sailor and ocean lover myself, it's really the best I can get living in southeast Wisconsin. Although unfortunately as a surfer as well there's hardly any proper waves to let me scratch that itch unless it's a really heavy surf day and the wind is *just* right, in which case it's usually a bit too chilly to enjoy it for more than a couple runs 😢.
For lost in translation situations, they should get a booklet that has different languages and pictures of things to better help describe. Like “missing kid”
Didn’t really want to watch Bondi rescue after that memorial video😢had me crushed but I came back when I saw the noti cuz we love the crew in our house
This is why you guys are the best lifeguards in the world!❤ you need to be in every single beach cause ur just the best your well practiced!😊and you you treat each other like brothers and like a family you interact like a good family to one to each other!❤
Poor women. I experienced anaphylaxis when a nurse put an IV line into my arm with x-ray dye that turned out Im highly allergic to. It was terrible and I ended up passing out and was taken to the trama center of the hospital. When I came too I had no idea where I was or how I got there. It was scary. I found out people can die from it.
It's not funny, but when Winston Churchill was visiting the States, he did the same thing as the French tourist and looked the wrong way and was hit by a car. The funny thing is that when I was little, I was taught to look both ways when crossing the street, lol.
My dad is anaphylactic allergic to aspirin. One time he took an allergy pill w aspirin in it n he started to cough n felt his throat closing up. My mom was two hours away in another city and he wanted her to give him the epi pen. I literally had to rip it out of my dad’s hand and stab him in the leg bc he was literally turning blue. That was the scariest day of my life and I will never ever forget it.
You do roll unconscious people to yhe left side or right side?? I ask because of the stomach being one way? I've never travelled far but if I do, I hope it's here 🙏
Been surfing off straddie with a mate when the SLS boat came over and said "get in we've seen a shark cruising past you blokes". Would have likely been a tiger given it's a breeding ground for them and it probably didn't look twice at us but "The man in the grey suit" doesn't let it's prey know it's there.
I feel like the majority of missing children cases come down to three things - - First is local culture / more relaxed view, the ocean is such a huge part of life in Australia, this area especially, I think because they go so often it’s easier to drop their guard and not stay vigilant 100% of the time. Like for people who don’t go to the ocean often, when they do go it’s like a big event and you’re more likely to be hyper vigilant out of unfamiliarity, but if you go to the beach everyday and everything is always fine, it’s easy to drop your guard. - Second factor I think is regional unfamiliarity / blissful ignorance of the ocean. I think many of the backpackers and tourists come from landlocked locations or have never been able to go to a beach, let alone be in the ocean; many have only ever been in small pools so they don’t have any fear of the water and know nothing about how the ocean creates rips. They’re also just so happy to be on vacation that danger isn’t in the front of their mind. - Last obvious factor is selfishness/inattention. A lot of these parents have possibly never been on vacation or in sad cases just don’t see the importance of watching their children closely.
i have been watching this show since i was 8 (2019) I even have the merch to prove it lol and i always binge watch these but by far my favourite line said in any video was this one 22:47 "We're Lifeguards we don't even wear shoes!
when me and my brother were wayyy younger, he's 17 atm and I'm 15, he was on his boogie board when the lifeguards called people to come back to shore, later we found out he was legit PADDLEING right above the sharks that every was told to get out for, he was about 10 at the time or something... don't quite remember
I absolutely LOVE all the boys but Harries is special ❤ he’s literally the real lifeguard version of the Hoff. He’s such a nice guy, he has that classic lifeguard look, had the same hairstyle his whole life and it’s always perfect, selfless and heroic, planned the perfect beach related proposal to his wife, incredibly athletic, worships the Hoff and couldn’t contain himself when he got to meet him lol he’s like THE model of how we think a lifeguard looks and acts. I would never put myself in danger intentionally and deeply respect the power of the ocean but being rescued by any of you would be a girls dream lol ❤ So much respect to every single one of you, I cannot give thanks to all of you enough for everything you do
@BondiRescue I was there 7 weeks ago for an international music festival!! I took pictures in front of the lifeguard tower The best experience in my life especially watching bondi rescue. Amazing 🤩
What these ‘lifeguards’ witness, see, experience, etc puts them on the grid as something far more then just lifeguards ( not to undermine lifeguards) ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
Yo I’ve been watching u guys since I was a kid and even saw u guys when I went to Bondi u guys r amazing and u save lives all the time ❤ 😊 keep doing this and save lives for ever ❤❤
