You'll never never ever see anything like this program ever again... Absolutely brilliant cast...funny as it comes...r.i.p...gary Holton ..London...wayne
Best program ever made ,got my kids watching it they love it too not sure about the 3rd and 4th series but the first two were magic, nothing will ever come close.
As a geordie I have to say Moxey is my favourite, makes me laugh every single time, so vulnerable, so clueless, so dangerous, and so completely believable.
This brilliant show had everything, humour, drama , wonderful characters and a script full of warmth and laughter,...it also reflected the real struggles of the working class man during the bleak poverty years of Thatchers Britain in the 1980s......
I always liked the fact that Barry stood by the lads in the fight, even though he didn't want to... The Magnificent Seven...plus Have Wrench Will Travel...
Make us as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit, I still remember my dad myself and family laughing uncontrollably at this scene. There are so many from this amazing show though, I love watching other people’s favourites
Love Auf Wiedersehen Pet. Been watching it from when it first came out in the '80s. I have binged watched it quite a few times during lockdown. It's a shame that shows like this are no longer being made, instead we get crappy reality telly , crap game shows and a show about people watching the telly . It's shite .
@@johnjtplastering6991 I know he was in the show, I was very clearly asking what a 'woose' is. Also, learn to take a joke about spelling his name wrong.
Give me the 80’s anyday. Look at the shite on tv these days. Auf Weidersein was one of the best series on tv back in the day. Jimmy Nail was great in Spender too.
Why oh why don't they make stuff as good these days ? instead of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" , "Geordie shore ", "love Island" Towie the list is endless really but it's all absolute shit ! compared to the Likes of Auf Wiedersehen Pet so reading the replies the thread seems to be discussing construction site practices and how they've changed .. ! you can imagine the cast of Auf Wiedersehen moaning the same things over a pint with their various wisdoms and viewpoints from OZ to Dennis to Wayne all spoken with humour .
We live in an age of the professional "Celebrity" Plastic tits and trumpet lips, with faces like a baboons arse. Fat, useless, ugly trash like that Mobi Dick tribute act, the talent free zone Gemma Collins. I guess TV CELEBRITY is at the top of the list of career options these days.
Too many TV channels, not enough advertising revenue to go round and a reluctance to invest. Great TV like this costs £££$$$£££$$$ to make but the reality sh1te programmes Billyg mentions is cheap, 'stars' (ha) get on screen instead of being paid in the hope that they will become what the public now see as 'celebrity'. Add to that a cost cutting and politically biased BBC, there is no hope.
Couldnt agree more....I just don't think they have the kind of writers either anymore.....all that's on TV is bloody cooking programmes or some twat buying and doing up a house...who cares!!....Bring back the 80's anyday of the week😃
I remember those moments well. I have the complete series 1,2,3,4 and special episodes set on DVD for keepsake. Great series 2 moments, typical of the eighties and the hardship of the UK in that era.
Been binge watching on catch up,one of the Cuba episodes when Den is dancing with Wayans Mum,the lads hold up score cards with 4.5,5.0 4.0 and Ozs sign says Shite. Still chuckling to myself now
Got to get my lads watching this series...absolute classic....I remember half the street sat around our living room all waiting for this to start every week....brilliant!
Remember watching it first time around back in the day and still now nothing comes close to being as good. Fantastic cast/characters/ writers. How tv has turned into complete garbage over the last 30 years.
What can i say these are the best and nobody will ever take the memories from the actors and public who watched the programme. I'm having the boxset for Xmas it will cheer me up. love all the actors in it your all legends xxxxxxxxx thankyou xxxxxx
great singer to in real life. I liked cowboy dreams wrote by prefab sprout but made a big hit by jimmy nail also sang with lots of big stars martin knofalar I think thats how you spell it. from dire straights also sting. from police
@Cool Waters every time there when i get a bit tipsy I mention Oz and people get a bit aggressive, they say he moved to a posh area elsewhere and sold out his roots or some such rubbish. Goerdies, you nah...
The stool scene in the cross keys was another great comedy moment and Oz with his rant in the Marbella club about paying his taxes to the upper class tax dodgers 😀
Series 2 was the pinnacle. Im so glad I enjoyed the first time around, and now watch on DVD. We will never get a series like that in this PC Woke world now.
Brilliant. Good choices. Thats me watching the box set again over the weekend then! lol. The first two series anyway! This, Lovejoy and The Soprano's, never seem to be too far away from my dvd player.
(lmfaaaaaaao). Ahhhh, Jesus Christ this dont half take me back. This HAS to be 1 of THE timeless classics. Absolutely brilliant script, delivered by a group of virtually unknown blokes, but Man, they did'nt half deliver! (I could watch the whole serious again no probs! ). Ps. Clip 3? is'nt Barry just a killer? :)
Couldn't agree more, impeccable writing and acting, it never fails to make you laugh even more than 35 years after the first and second series.Recall every Saturday night at 9.00 when first aired was so eagerly anticipated.Nothing like it today as funny or is it me ? !.
