I hope you all appreciate this heart felt and honest recap of my time on the Carnivore Diet. Many more videos to come on my experiences over the last 12 or so months on This Carnivore Diet

I used to buy candy bars by the case and have them in my drawer at work and eat one about every 4 hours, so I could get my brain into high gear and work like 3 people. Now I can't do that anymore, but that's okay. Day 106 on Carnivore, down 90lbs and none of my clothes fit!

Couldn't agree more, I experienced many similar benefits. No more loose teeth, bleeding gums, sensitive teeth, blocked sinuses, mouth breathing, left eye twitches, heartburn, calf cramps, yellow stool, blood in stool, edema below the knees, pain in feet when walking, I can stay out in the sun longer without burning or peeling, lower back stiff/pain-twinge free since Nov 2022 after an operation in 2005

I started a Keto diet in June and almost all my chronic pain is gone. The only pain I have now is in my knees so started carnivore a few weeks ago hope that goes away. I can relate to pain in hands I suffered for almost 20 years with it, but with the low carb diet it was gone in couple of weeks. Now just the knees. Thank You for sharing your story

94 days Carnivore - 64 yrs old. I, like Dr Suresh have struggled with weight & food addiction most of my life. I think I've only been very slim once. I'm forever on a diet & have spent the last almost 20yrs of my life being a vegetarian. I ate lots of legumes & veggies with seed oils etc. And of course processed carbs. I didn't suffer from huge health issues but I had my gallbladder removed during this time. I was told not to eat any fat because my liver wouldnt handle it. So low fat everything loaded with my fave .... sugar. In January this year I saw a family photo of myself & was shocked... I was the heaviest ever & so tired. I went to my local dr who gave me some v expensive drugs and I lost quite a bit of weight. It didnt help my excessive dry skin & hair though. So I stopped & presto back came the weight. I came across this idea of eating meat again & I feel fantastic. Never hungry, most cravings gone. Skin & hair are softer & not so dry & I have so much energy. I make beef jerky in my dehydrator if I feel like a snack & hope to live to a ripe old age fit & healthy!! Never going back ❤

Oh and many of the drs in the Carnivore community recommend getting bloodwork & visceral fat checks etc. My problem is I don't think my dr would approve of me being Carnivore but I'm not sure if I should find someone else here in Brisbane Australia. Its not easy finding wholistic drs on carnivore 😅

As if I couldn't like you any more Dr Suresh ❤ Thank you for sharing your honest thoughts and feelings. Takes a brave man to do this and share so much personal experience including the good and the bad with the world. Please be careful with reintroducing fruits and honey etc given you aren't at your goal just yet. Its a slippery slope esp if you have been dealing with sugar addiction. I know you know what you are doing, just a friendly caution thats all because I care. Hope to see you again soon.

Related to your story. I was highly successful, disciplined in every other way, but as I got into my 50s I could no longer eat sugar/starch in moderation; then twenty something years ago I found low carb, but would have bouts of binges. Finally, fifteen years ago got to keto then eventually to mostly carnivore. I’m a senior in my seventies and health is my number one issue so I can enjoy my elder years. You are doing great work with these vlogs. Thank you.

I used to suffer from constipation and would have a bowel movement only every two or three days. It was torture. Now, however, I have a bowel movement once every four days and it is absolutely fine. When I was constipated, bowel movements were a great big long torturous event but now that I am eating carnivore, they are a swift non-event and are over so quickly that I think I must have diarrhoea or that the stools are abnormally small but they are not. If I didn't know better, I would think that my bowel movements were Teflon coated. Meet takes longer to digest because it is so rich in nutrients and this is a good thing not a bad thing. Also, on the carnivore diet, people tend to not have bowel movements as often as they used to because they are eating less.

I think you should look at insulin instead of calories. It's the controlling hormone in weight gain. Check your fasting insulin, correct range between 1.5 and 5. Calorie restriction allways lowers BMR and it the reason all calorie restrictions diets fail, try to find a study where calorie restriction has worked long term. The longest carb restriction diet study I could find was The Women's Health Initiative, 9 years and to complete failure. Any carbs are going to have a negative effect on your health, not just weight gain. I started Keto over 4 years ago, after doing months of research. I lost weight for 13 months straight (90 lbs) and then stabilized and maintained since. I changed to carnivore diet 9 months ago for other health benefits, no longer constipated since I got ride of all fiber, a real win in my life. I always eat till I am full, never count anything and never snack. I have never felt healthier! I do ocassionaly have beer and no sugar added ice cream so I can still enjoy life. I'm 69 years young.

After existing on meals on wheels, junk food, takeaways and the occasional meal out, I was under nourished but overweight Upon beginning the carnivore diet, I was really hungry and ate a very generous amount of food. Within a few weeks, my appetite slowly declined because I was eating nourishing food The fact that the carnivore died is a bit monotonous, is working in my favour I know how important it is to eat red meat but I don't really get that excited about it without all the flavourings that I used to serve with it So there is no way that I am going to over eat red meat.

I have believed for decades that if 70 percent or more of your diet is meat, you are a carnivore. My ex-vegan friend is on a low carb 50/50 meat and veggie diet. He is doing very well! Every person needs to find the eating plan that works for them . It just blows my mind to think that people actually suffer back pain, knee pain or hand/foot pains. Maybe that is why so many people have medicine cabinets full of pain relievers while I do not.

Trust me you are not cured of the sugar addiction, it’s moved wayyyyy into the background, but it will always be there crouching in the background waiting for an opportunity! Food freedom is awesome, stay clear of sweets anymore than once a month, because it can creep in and have a choke hold on you before you know it. 1 year is awesome, I’ve been there and had the sugar creep in and suddenly it had hold again.

Wow, an honest Doctor❤❤❤❤. I gave up as well at 345 and 64 year old FAT AMERICAN. I easily lost 173 pounds. I only weighed once a year at my physical. My answer was simple, my mirror works just as well. I was HUGE and beyond all hope. I weigh daily now. This morning I was 175. Never felt better. Once you give carnivore a serious try you too can learn how simple it really is.🥩🧈🐷🥚👍

@davidgmillsatty1900 8 месяцев назад
Strangely, I don’t think alcohol addiction is as bad for you as sugar addiction. Try to beat the sugar addiction first. There are many things about carnivore that block many of the bad things from alcohol. Carnivore provides an abundance of choline. Choline is highly protective of your liver and prevents a fatty liver. A fatty liver is the precursor of cirrhosis. And the ketones from meat are very protective of the brain and heart. Take it one addiction at a time. But try getting over the sugar addiction first.

I wish I had as many benefits from carnivore as others. Still struggling day 335. When you talked about your thumbs “I have that same pain” still waiting for it to go. Sleep is still a struggle. Pain all over my body. It’s better don’t get me wrong but I wish it was better. Weight stall 4 months. Still have many many more pounds to go (50-60) I’ve lost 30 but again slow. Guess I have more healing to do. I’m not stopping. Eating carnivore is not a struggle at all. I don’t want the crap anymore. A1C 5.5 so it is working. Thank you for your insight and video.

Comments in line with video : a) I consider that carnivore is not a diet but instead proper human behaviour. 75% of the word DIET is death. b) When one gets to 40 one realises that life is yet to start. c) I've now been on clean carnivore for 12 months and generally speaking I feel pretty good, confident and optimistic. I intend to carry on.

I'd talk to her about the carnivore diet and give her the option, but ultimately decide with her (like any patient) on how she wants to help their health. The best outcome is one in which the patient improves, but ideally diet would be the first port of call.

@@Themeatmedic yes agreed I myself have always had moderate depression since I was a teenager (I’m in my early 40s now). In the past I have tried SSRIs and to be fair they have worked but I am reluctant to go back on them due to potential long term effects. I have been eating strict beef, lamb, salt and water for about 2 months. It has cleared my eczema but mood has only improved slightly, if at all. Maybe it’s too soon to cast an opinion.

Also gone now, switching to just meat has been nothing short of miraculous honestly.
