I started stacking when i was in debt and having nothing to my name, sick of having perpetual nothing; i had a romantic idea of having something for my hard work and paying myself a silver coin every week. Over time stacking turned into a fascinating hobby that taught me so much about things of real value. Then i gave up smoking to fund the hobby that had become a bit of an obsession and far more addictive than nicotine. Approaching 10 years since buying my first coin and i have stacked far more than any debt i previously had and stumbled into the most interesting and rewarding hobby that i could have ever wished for that has enriched my life in far more ways than any mere monetary gains.
On a sad note, when my grandmother died from covid in April, we were in a terrible financial rut. Still are. While looking through her things, we found her coin collection, had no idea how big it was. We didn't want to, but we were able to sell some silver to cover a tombstone. Silver to me, is a way to save money and not be tempted to spend fiat in the bank.
Problem in South Africa is you buy a silver one once for R700 and when you want to sell they give you spot price R369..so your losing money or wealth not gaining anything. Its always double spot to buy.
Whatever "buzz" I got from buying trinkets on Amazon has been replaced with coming home to packages of bullion. I may have replaced one addiction with a different one, but stacking is much better for my long term wealth preservation.
Shadow Stacker I am indebted to you, because I have increased my holdings with QB of all sizes, Koo and others. Thankyou for the inspiration and motivation.
My number 1 benefit is when spot prices go up 2 always have money when you need it 3 the silver coins are beautiful 4 it's fun 5 did not go broke over 12 years that's the real benefit for me
Thanks Shadow Stack. Love your channel, and your advice. When you show your silver, and I have similar pieces, I know I'm moving in the right direction. I notice you frequently show the 2008 Kook. Love that one myself, and buy many of them. Really would love a 5 or 10 oz, but cannot find them. Hate that your government is going to shutter again. Tragic mistake IMHO. Take care of yourself.
Nice fairytale story. Paper price of silver might outperform in the short term, but physical price of silver with all It's premiums and VAT taxes makes it a big loser
Interesting to hear about your interest in boxing/MMA. I am the same, no interest in standard team sports. I've been watching MMA and boxing for over 13 years. Training in kickboxing for 6 years and boxing for 2 years.
Thanks Shadow!! Silver has been a great way to save money for Me. I wasn't able to hold a dollar because it would burn a hole in my pocket. I was thinking about trading 500 oz for silver to finish a tube of Gold Eagles ...what's your opinion?
@Emmanuel Macron I am so sorry to hear of his passing, please give my regards to his family and please let them know he will be throughly missed. And thankyou for letting me know.
Then leave your money in the bank and let it grow interest on the rates they want to give you and maybe sometime soon they may even give you a certificate, under a bail-in scheme they may introduce, under the greatest reset of the global financial system.
