My dad worked at dodge during the era when they started making SRT everything, challengers, chargers, calibers, magnums, jeeps etc. I’ve been in them all, i cant express how lucky i felt to have grown up in that era.
Love them all! Dodge really knocked it out of the park with the "that thing got a hemi?" commercials. Everyone in the world remembers those commercials, you'd be hard pressed to remember another manufacturers car commercial, but that one still stands out.
@@457rickthe challenger and chargers since inception has never been pony cars. The only “pony car” chrysler corp has ever created was the barracuda which is ironic considering the barracuda is 2 weeks older than the mustang
For all of you fans of the new-age muscle cars, if you get a chance to talk with any oldster car guy who drove in the 60's - 70's muscle car days - if they had a beast of a Mopar, be it a 383 Super Bee, or 440 Charger, at one time of another had someone pull up at a traffic light and yell, "Hey; that thing gotta a Hemi"? That was back in the days when the 426 was the monster street engine, unparalleled in the car industry for raw power. I had a 440 six-barrel Road Runner in the late seventies, and got tired of answering that Hemi question with a "no" and seeing the look of dejection on their face. So I built a Hemi and swapped it in. 😁 It was like creating a monster. 🐘
In the 440 I think the single 4 barrel was the stronger motor. Not in horse power but in drivability. The 6 pack seemed like it was always needing tuning where the 4 barrel wasn’t as touchy. When the 6 packs was tuned and running good it was a beast tho.
All are classics. I remember that "gotta hemi in it" from the early 2000's - right at the start of the second muscle car era. The magnum was great too.
Someone tell me that the "Sunday, Sunday going fishing in a hemi powered ram" commercials were not jist a fever dream of mine. I've been looking for that commercial forever!
The design is no longer American. Stellantis is the merger of Fiat-Chrysler and the French PSA Group, so basically a super merger. They are headquartered in Amsterdam, and are responsible for the design as well as manufacture, development, and sales of Dodge Chrysler Jeep and Ram vehicles. Sorry.
Great to see you on my. Channel Nick! Merci d'être passé! J'ai bien hâte au printemps, j'aimerais bien passé te voir a la shop mais je me dis que vous avez trop de job pour Jaser 5 minutes. Salut
I have an '18 Charger R/T 5.7 since new. Love it and most times will keep the radio off and just listen to my exhaust. Not the loudest or deepest but its noise is quite relaxing. I had contemplated chasing one of the 2023 300Cs with the 6.4 but prices were out of control. I'll stay with my baby (Best combination of performance, price (Insurance), and ecomony (Midgrade fuel req. and can hit 29 MPG on long trips, never resetting my trip computer and have a photo to prove it)
Thats what made me get a dodge hemi 5.7 thunderoad loved that truck know i have a scatpack VIN DIESEL DODGE COMMERCIALS ARE MY PRAYERS PLAYERS THATS THE BROTHERHOOD OF MUSCLE 😅😊😅😊
My wife's old horse trailer got so long in the tooth, she sold it for parts. Less than a year later, her horse died. She'd like to get another horse and another trailer. I can only think of one excuse to specify the Hemi engine if I buy a new truck, namely, to tow the horse trailer she can't afford yet.
I’m at stand with camaro vs Dodge Charger I don’t know what I should get next the 392 sp or the camaro SS after every video I’ve watched mustang got ruled out for me 😂 only a stand with those 2
Dodge’s marketing will never be as good or memorable as the mid 2000’s lol those “that thang got a hemi?” Commercials were the best lol you still hear people say it today even nearly 20 years later. And I miss that little guitar riff they played.
💕 #3 on the list..don't remember seeing the Tv commercial for it probably because the FCC don't want you advertising how fast it can go...to out beat the cops!
That very first hellcat commercial and the penzoil commercial of the last viper just hit different whenever you realize they axed the viper program in 2017 over a supercharged Hemi V8 taking over.
What would be really cool. Dark warehouse, someone walks in, guy walks around the corner, then the guitar chords from Bad to the bone start. Then come the high beams and say a Dodge Charger comes out like a bat out if hell. Red of course.
NPC? If you have a few minutes you should take a look of one of many track days on this channel. I see more Mopars at my drag strip than any other brand. Obviously most of people driving any sport or performance cars in real life don't race but life is not a game. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
These commercials are sow stupid and dangerous because these idiots actually are driving these cars like this on the street .they band theses kinds off commercials back during the muscle car hay day too deture this kind off thing the manufacturers were actually concerned about public safety .and didn’t want too promote reckless driving are drag racing ..shows how backwards this country is going beside those dodges are just ugly and how long are they going too milk that design off the charger and challenger.i could never see any collectibility .in those things but I grew up in the 70 when the real legends were still roaming the streets 👎🏾✌🏿
