Please consider that it would be helpful first explaining how any harness should fit on dog’s body to prevent long term injury to shoulder joints or wind pipe. Most no pull harnesses that go across the front too low, and restricting forward movement of the shoulder joint are harmful in long term. They cause injury to the joints. Also some harnesses front is too wide for narrow chested dogs and restrict shoulder movement.

Therefore just because you call yourself scientist it doesn't make you one. Finally based on findings by Physical Therapists that end up treating dogs that end up with changes in their shoulders range of motion, one can draw easy, logical conclusion. Anything worn long term that restricts growth or range of motion would effects any specie. Since you interested in evidence. Why don't you wear some sort of restrictive garment for a month and evaluate your comfort and physical well being then multiply this by years of use.
You should think more about what the dog would like and what would be comfortable on the dog because a lot of them have little skinny straps that will cut into them right where their legs meet their body
Exactly what I was going to say. I would only buy a Harness that has padding where it goes behind the Dogs legs. I've been using Julius-K9 harnesses for 13 years, there's only a strap going around the Dogs stomach. A lot of harness have too many straps & buckles & don't look comfortable for a Dog.
i love harness but i don't suggest using a harness with a dog that's trained not to pull the point of a harness is to allow them to pull so get a short harness for sled dogs or a full x back sled dog harness and go running with your doggies or get a collar and walk your dog nicely beside you
