Thanks B T! So glad the video helped :) Would super appreciate it if you could post this video where you asked the question so hopefully more can find out this info.
The first one World Piano. That one and the others apps from that same company make for good samples on GarageBand. I noticed whatever key I sample it comes out great, while other samples from different apps don’t sound as good. Their doing something right 👍
I’ve been thinking about buying an actual electric guitar as the audio units available are still missing some the harmonics that you hear when you play a real guitar. I was most impressed with the Steel Guitar Pro by Yonac as the sounds were closer to an actual guitar. Thank you Vortex for another wonderful video.
Yah the steel guitar pro app has additional amps and fx that some of the other apps did not. You could achieve the same sounds with the other apps but you'd have to run them through additional amps and fx.
My hope was they would expand the auto-generated Guitars and Instruments from GarageBand iOS, not abandon them. That Steel Guitar is a banger tho! As a guitarist, it’s a blast to use the tilt feature. Can’t wait to use it with my MIDI keyboard and pedal.
Great choices. I've got all except for World Piano. I'd really like to hear more about that one - it looks promising. Great demo of the sounds for multiple instruments in each app - a very fair and useful comparison.
Thanks Ed! It was difficult to balance time and utility, I wanted to keep the video to normal time but still hopefully provide enough value to be worth the watch.
For World Piano when they have the 30$ purchase. But they also have a 7$ purchase to unlock all sounds and rhythms. Do you know the difference between the 7$ and 30$ ones
Technically they can All be played as the seaboard does just send standard MIDI in addition to MPE. However GeoShred is MPE compatible meaning you can use all the various bends that the seboard is capable of.
Since this video Pure synth has gone free offering the rest of their sounds in an IAP. So yes you have to buy the IAP now to get all the sounds that used to be in the app where you purchase it all at once.
You can certainly adjust the tuning to whatever you like though I don't think this app was really designed for metal exactly. There may be some flavors in there that might fit for that but it's all up to your preference.
@@MobileMusicPro roger that is there any dry signals or can you turn off effects to the presets ? If so I’m grabbing it . I grabbed world piano yesterday and it’s close but I think this one may be better for me !
Hah yah some are pretty dry and just need some extra sauce like some fx and midi adjustment but I wanted to play them mostly dry so people can get an idea of the raw sounds :)
Useless is a strong word lol but essentially that's one of the big things missing from iOS is multi-sampled instruments like Guitars. We have sample tank from IK Multimedia but most of those guitars don't have "round robins" either.
