I have larger hands, right now I'm trying to replace my death adder v2, but nothing I have to tried has ever felt as good, and as comfortable. Highly recommend if you haven't found just what your looking for.
Been running Glorious Model O Wireless for about a year and it has been rock solid throughout. Absolutely ZERO issues with the wireless connection or lag/delay. My only gripe is the cheapo switch feel but they have rectified that going to Kailh switches in future models (like the Model D). No issues with build quality, I love the scroll wheel texture and feel and the side buttons. My only complaints are 5 day battery life (with all RGB off) I feel they could do better compared to Superlight getting around 2 weeks. The cheap switch feel on the older models, but it's not a deal breaker. Other than that the price is absolutely right and it comes with solid PTFE feet right out of the box no need to change there. Oh, and when you upgrade the mouse firmware it does force you to reload your profile which is a minor annoyance, not a deal breaker ... just something Logitech would never have you do.
Razer Deathadder V2 Pro Wireless user here. Threw my Logitech G Pro wireless mouse as their switch sucks so much. No issues with the optical switch on this razer mouse. Ergo shape is good for my hand to :)
@@magnus6683 well it's a common issue that plagued their mouse not only gpw, Logitech should have addressed this. Letting people change it on their own is not a good way of getting more customers in my opinion.
Great vid! I would have to say I love the Kone air pro, and would take it over the Model D. I had the Model D wired, then the pwnage ultra custom ergo (same EC shape as the Model D) but wireless and now the Kone pro air. It just feels more comfortable and more versatile than the GMD for the same points you mentioned in your vid. PLUS it has BT, which the Model D doesnt have and also has a place to store the dongle, which the D doesnt have.
Just told my wife I was going to order the Model D wireless, for her to tell me she has ordered me the DAV3 as a suprise and will be with me tomorrow 😮👍
I just learned today that I have a large size hand in accordance to gaming mice (well, sort of. I have a decently large-ish palm, and really long skinny fingers), and that I prefer palm grip, so this video was really helpful! I'm also considering the Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless mouse, the only things so far that I'm not certain of are if it has optical or mechanical switches, and the programmable buttons seem kind of large, which might be a problem, considering I don't really use programmable buttons at the moment (my current mouse is the Logitech G603) What would be really neat is if you made a video on palm-grip mice! Ofc it's up to you, but it would be neat, cause I've only been able to find a single video that reviews mice that are specifically palm grip mice, so some more input on palm-grip mice would be great!
Got g502 hero and after heavy use in few weeks I got problem with my thumb, it was not comfortable for me so I buyed deathadder v2(cable) and it’s perfect for my hand. Question, is wireless model worth the money? Overall I mean not just this specific model. Great video and thanks!
Techne you should test the PULSAR Xlite Wireless to really complete the "Big/ergo" wireless mouse list. Seems to be a nice alternative to the Model D wireless. 3370, lighter weight, PTFE feets and mountain Makalu like holes instead of the normal rounded/hexagon pattern. And affordable of course! Haven´t grabbed one myself yet, but might do soon. And i will take the opportunity to thank you for your great reviews man, i´ve been a beta tester since 2000 for many of the companys who makes these products you review. It took quite some time to reach the performance we have in todays sensors, to finaly be able to say "pick your shape" instead of performance in many cases. Just hope to see more and more wireless products, because once you get use to it, it´s hard to even go back to paracorded products IMO. Keep up the good work!
@@TheTechne Ah i see, thanks for the answer. I'm still leaning a bit towards trying it out. I prefer and play better with the Prime vs the Kone Pro because it doesn't flare out as much. But i prefer the EC2 shape. The Pwnage ultra custom has an edge that goes into my hand(backside/rear LED edge). So Xlite or Model D wireless is what I'm looking at atm. Model D- did fit my hand better so I'm a bit hesitant. I felt the QC was way better on the Model O wireless vs the cable ones, and it seems to be the same with the model D wireless. I would love to see Xtrfy release a wireless M4 and the choice going forward would be easier 😆.
i tried Roccat kone pro air, razer deathadder, viper , steelseries prime and logitech g pro x and g303 shroud. Non suited me until I found the Glorious model D wireless! what a mouse
Roccat Kone Pro Air is my main and I love it, but it isn't perfect. The two things I would change are the M1/M2 optical switch to feel more clicky/less mushy and add a remappable DPI button under the scroll wheel.
Kone pro air is the best mouse since Mx518. I've almost stopped buying mice since it came out. I think a wireless version of the Mx518 could move it from ly desk, but that's it.
this is probably the best channel on youtube so far , :d got the viper ultimate after watching your video here , now i wanna get the deathhadder or model d wireless ;d great time for this new video man gg wp !!!
I have both, and use both the same amount! I use basilisk ult for games with a lot of binds and bind the side “clutch” button for a second layer on the mouse. And deathadder v2 pro I use for precision FPS games.
Hey Techne I have the Model O Wired glossy model and I’ve noticed my buttons 1 and 2 became a lil bit more mushy do you think I should upgrade to any wireless mouse like the model d wireless
I bought a Razer Viper Ultimate a long while ago, but the dongle broke. Could you maybe send me a link to a new dongle please? I looked on the Razer website and there doesn't seem to be a Viper dongle. Thanks, because I paid for a wireless mouse, and I'd like it to be wireless. 😐
I loved everything about the Kone Pro Air (shape, texture, mouse feet, responsiveness etc), but the clicks were terrible! It was so bad I ordered a different mouse the next day and just accepted I’d wasted my money.
is the Razer Naga pro in the same class as these mice here? I am using one as my productivity/mmo mouse and I think its pretty big for an ergo mouse. Techne, I don't think you did a review on the Naga, correct me if I am wrong.
I was using the wired deathadder v2 for a while. Starting using the model d wireless and I love it. It is better (for me) than the deathadder. By the way I think I am in love with Techne. (not in a creepy way of course.)
If you guys need something at the performance level of these mice for an even lower cost, the Razer Mamba Wireless is currently sold on Amazon for 44$. Shape is similar to Deathadder or G703. Its only downside is a lack USB C but for that price it's a steal.
Finally someone's speaking my big hands language! Thanks for the video, btw, stupid RU-vid force unsubscribed me from your channel. I think I'll be getting either model d or roccat.
I've got a viper ultimate and something just feels off about it. Something about the way it tracks like maybe some weird negative acceleration or dpi deviation I actually find it unusable I was really gutted.
u missed the pulsar xlite wireless uncle techne definitely upthere with the model d but better in almost everyway btw a tiny secret if yall didnt know drdisrespect accidentally leaked that roccat burst pro wireless is coming 😀
Do you know if the Xlite is better than Model D wireless? I've been hearing it's great for big hands only. I have small hands so thinking about the Model D Wireless.
Techne, I just ordered a Razer Mamba Wireless cuz, in Canada, it's only 79.99. that's a pretty good price for a wireless mouse here. Is it a good mouse? I liked the Razer Mamba Elite shape a lot
Hey techne. I have a steelseries prime right now, can u rank the stiffness of the buttons from lightest to stiffest? I been getting fatigue playing PoE, and league of legends with the prime, since the clicks are on teh stiffer side. I heard deathadder v2, and the sabre have pretty light clicks.
my fav is steel series prime best ever mouse and never gonna change it

Didn't commit to wireless yet but I am battling it in my head between DeathAdder v2 pro and Roccat Kone air. I am going slightly in the favor of DeathAdder, mostly because I am currently using the Model D wired and DeathAdder is close to it in back shape but bigger at the front, which seems to be something I need - I love my D (lol) but I think I need something bigger (mega lol) xD
What did you end up choosing? I also can not give a big advantage in someone's favor, but da has more comfortable side buttons and for me as a rts/rpg fan it's a huge difference. For fps sessions I have ultralight symmetrical mice. And da v2 pro currently is the cheapest wireless gaming ergo mouse on the market where I'm living (slightly cheaper than Kone and 50-70% cheaper than ss and corsair) and have an option to be docked

@@nikitakobtsev Hey, went with the DeathAdder V2 Pro in the end. I had the chance to try them out in the store and DeathAdder was far more comfortable for me, plus the side buttons were much better when it comes to placement and it was also cheaper (although only by about 20% here). The only downside is the Razer software - it never crashed or anything like that but it is required to change anything on the mouse and to remember your settings when it comes to lighting. That aside, I am loving it so far. Since the mouse works even while charging I never bothered getting the dock since I can connect it for a quick charge while I am doing some work or browsing - the dock also seems like it will damage the battery in the long run so watch out for that if you go for it.
@ Unfortunately, there are no stores in my city that have mice to touch them and roccat stopped official sales of its products in my country a few years ago. I'm currently looking at the da x hyperspeed version. Mechanical switches + more convenient dpi buttons that can be remapped + longer battery life + 2 times cheaper than da v2 pro. In addition, there is no rubber coating and I can just change the grips without fear that the rubber will wear out and the mouse will look bad. Everything sounds good, the only thing left is to find out is the shape of the mouse is my cup of tea
Great review! I am a SteelSeries fan, and I use wired mice, and my Rival 3 v2 is a very nice mouse. I just can't seem to get into wireless mice.....just not my cup-o-tea, but I do see where for some, having no wire to deal with is great. I've been running with my Rival 3 for about a year and a half now, along with the Apex 7 keyboard, and have noticed my gaming, typing, and navigation in web pages to be much better than before I got these. I had a "gaming" mouse and keyboard before these, and I must say, the Havit HV-MS760, which is still on my desk, is one helluva palm mouse(wired), and feels very solid. But my daily driver is still the Rival 3. It's weird, the Rival is smaller than the Havit, and I like the palm grip of the Havit, but the Rival in claw grip is amazing! Changed my whole way of cruising the interwebs and playing games!
Too much qc issue, cooler master really screwed up this one, the mouse had at least 5 firmware updates since aug, none of them fixed the latency issue.
Been a longtime Logitech G502 user. I stepped out on my baby and used the G Pro Wireless for a bit, but as many people reported I started getting a lot of accidental double clicks. So I got the lightspeed wireless version of the G502. Reunited and it feels so good. I have XXXL hands so it's very comfortable for me and I like having access to the extra buttons.
Man.. I've got the M95 and i love that mouse but they no longer make it and mine is on it's way out. :( This vid gave me some to look at but its unfortunate that I can not try them all out in a store or something.
I've been watching a ton of your mouse reviews as I'm looking for a new mouse. I was wondering if I could ask for some recommendations/help here? If so, I do have some preferences I could list. If not, no problem, I'll keep googling!
Wireless kain 200 is big and heavy. It's like 105g I think. My 120 AIMO broke and Roccat sent me a wireless kain 200 as a replacement. I like the feel but too heavy for me.
I really am tired lately... I have big (wide) hands, but the Quality of the mice is really crap nowadays. I went through 4 Roccat and 2 Logitech mice in 3 years and always had scrollwheel (Roccat) and doubleclick (Logitech) problems. Shortest lifetime was my Kone Pro Air that started scrolling in the wrong direction after 3 Weeks on the first one and after 2 Months with the replacement. Dunno if Razer is better but I sadly get hand-pains from both the Basilisk as well as the Deathadder.
Ive been using my steelseries rival 650 wireless. And before that i used to rock the deathadders for years before switching. I bought the deathadder recently and i just can't get used to it anymore, it's too short if i lay my hand on it my fingers will "tip" over the edge unlike on the 650 which is plenty long.
@@Serkong I was looking at the RoG Chakram since it seems to be just as long as my rival but the shape of it has me questioning if it would be any good
I'm in the process of getting a wireless mouse right now for my big hands, I tried a few so far... But the thing is I'm actually getting so used to the viper ultimate I think I may not even need a model D, gonna try to superlight tomorrow
@@Crudity I did a test with Viper, GPXSuperlight, EC1B, Model D, and I got the best score on model D every time. Gonna get model D wireless, already preordered
Roccat or Saber, deathadder got it and Glorious is cute but I don't like honeycomb. The Basilisk ultimate is my main one, waiting for Basilisk v3 wireless or Mamba v2 if it comes out at some point
Do you think the Basilisk Ultimate is good for FPS? That one does seem like an amazing mouse, but the Glorious seems like a better over all option since its lightweight, I just want to know why the Basilisk is better.
I'd like to give the D wireless a try, but it's over $100 when shipping to Australia is factored in. Meanwhile, I'm seeing the original G Pro wireless has come down to a similar price, so I'm kind of torn atm as that's a mouse I've always wanted
No complaints with my Kone Pro Air... In general though... why can't I find a nice wireless "gaming" ergo mouse that also has a 4 way directional wheel? So much usability in game and when using productivity software such as Excel.
Dude, did you watch the damn video? He LITERALLY puts the dimensions of each mouse on the screen for you to look at and you can also LITERALLY look at the shape of each of the mice. Like, what the fuck kind of question is this? Do we not watch videos anymore on a platform made to watch videos? Is that a thing now? Or are people are just getting so disgustingly lazy, that even watching a video is too much to ask and instead they just ask stupid questions in comment sections?
as much as I love the shape of the prime wireless I refuse to spend money on it due to the fact that I find it ridiculous that they charge 130 for a 3335 sensor
If you are talking about Pulsar Xlite Wireless, then yes, it should be here, but for some reason there is still no review on it and, accordingly, it did not make it to the top. And mm731 is very small, it does not fit the definition of large.
Im still looking for that lighter g703 replacement with that back of the palm filling hump, most ergo are ec inspired with flat hump on the back :( Corsair looks similar, ill look into it :) ty for the list
Zowie should make an EC1.5 in between the EC2 and 1 in size and I’d buy it in a heartbeat. EC2 was too small, but the EC1 is enormous - Model D gets the size right for me going in between those two. My only other issue with Zowie is that the scroll wheels on the EC2-C models are pretty tough to actuate - something like a DA V2 has a much better middle click imo.
@@bagz6679 I used one for a couple hours and my thoughts are that - yes, it’s “basically” a wireless/lightweight EC1.5 with a better shell material “but” the side button positioning is much worse than the EC2 (which has the best side button positioning ever for this sort of mouse imo) and the EC2 had a shape that is a bit more thoughtful I’d argue as they round the area where the sides meet the front under the clicks. Still, yeah if money is no object and you can live with the worse side button positioning vs the EC2 then the DA V3 is very close to that. It also has a higher left side than perhaps an EC1.5 would have to my recollection. I’ll probably eventually buy the DA V3 but only when prices come down from where it is now - 150 bucks + 40 for the special dongle is frankly nuts, even for a mouse of that quality (I know you can technically get them bundled if you buy directly from Razer but I prefer to route through Amazon when possible and Amazon does not even list the hyper speed dongle so you’ve basically gotta go through Razer for this one). Now, if they had just included the hyperspeed dongle by default for a flat 150 then I think that would be fair.
Only issue I have with Razer products is Synapse. That software is terrible. I returned my old Model D due to poor build quality. I'd probably try the Roccat but tbh I'm looking for a lightweight mouse with additional side buttons.....one day....one day.
I’ve bought the Wirless death Adder twice now refurbished on Amazon for under $60, they are basically brand new other then it has a Amazon Warehouse sticker on it. I bought it twice because I didn’t like it at first but I gave it a second shot and put some grips on it and it’s by far my favorite now.
At this point it seems like Vaxee or Zowie are the only brands to put thought into their shape and material. They have perfect comfort, balance, control, and are absolutely rock solid in almost any variant for any grip. I've tried so many wireless mice in the last few months, and none of them even come within 10 percent of the quality of my Np-01 or EC2-A. As I get older I find myself reaching for the EC because there is zero strain and I lose very little fine control. I just want a wireless EC type that actually can hold a candle to the feel of those two brands. I'm about to just get an EC2-C and a better bungee and call it a day. This "endgame" chasing nonsense is silly. It's not gaming. It's marketing BS. A 3360 and mushy side buttons is better than carpel-tunnel, whiffed shots, and crap feeling plastic. I might give the Model D wireless a shot when it hits Amazon, but if it's quality is the same as, say, their bungee vs Zowie's, it's no contest. Zowie doesn't f*ck around when it comes to clicking on heads.
I have to agree, EC1 is the most comfortable mouse I have ever used (large hands) and the click sensitivity was perfect. If they just made a wireless EC series I would buy it in an instant
I got the deathadder v2, and it's still too small for my hands. What would you recommend to someone looking for the biggest wireless gaming mouse they can find?
@@TheTechne I figured out what was going on, the bump on the deathadder is right under my pinky knuckle so every time I would go to grip it, my pinky knuckle was pushing it out of my hand. I ended up getting the Kone Pro Air and MY GOODNESS is this thing wonderful! I've never used a grip like I do with this mouse before, but as soon as my hand went on it, it knew exactly how to grip it. Thanks for your recommendations, I wouldn't have given it a try if it wasn't for your original review video on the mouse and it's already made a huge difference!
Is it just me or do I have bad experiences when it comes to Corsair mouses? Maybe their new ones aren’t so bad but their older ones, I can’t trust Corsair on mouses
Just received the model D wireless, I love the shape & dimensions! I really want to keep it but the left click seems a bit loose/ crunchy - its hard to describe. Did anyone notice something similar?
yeah, same on my Model D Wireless. Ordered 2 and both have the same Issue. I can feel it while playing, especially when playing faster paced games because i have to move the Mouse a lot. Loving everything else about the Mouse but i cant lie, iam kinda disappointed.
@@TheTechne on the left click it is more noticeable. The right click also has some weird feeling to it, as if it was "rubbing" against something. The Mouse Button barely moves but you can feel it in fast paced games, when you move the Mouse a lot. I have these issues on both Mice, but it was more noticeable on my second Purchase of the Glorious Model D Wireless (which i returned becasue i couldnt get used to it). In my opinion it is still such a great Mouse and has great Value but the strange clicks and that you can feel the Movement of the Mouse Button with a slight wobble with your Finger makes it annoying. It could be that iam just too sensitive about these things and iam aware of that. I helped myself with some Tape to fixate the Mouse Buttons a little (because i still love the Glorious Model D Wireless as a whole). I hope i was able to clarify it a little. I love your Videos and the energy you bring in it.
Skip the Da wireless. Its more wide than Da elite, has bad grips (slippery) and the battery is worse than on logitech models. If you want wired big get the Mamba elite (bit smaller than da and more buttons and better clicks). Another good option g403 from logitech. For wireless g703(great build, probably the best side grips ever, decent battery, but for some it might be too heavy), steel series the new model (shown in the video) and for something bit smaller the g pro is good option but it needs the side grips, the stock plastic is really slippery. Get the pro x or normal pro which ever is cheaper. And one surprise for cheap is the newest wireless mamba which is on sale for 40-50$ usually. It only has mediocre battery, bit heavy if ur used to lighter mouse. And the side grips feel kinda weird since those have the weird vertical lines.
