Deem. Your videos are so good. The quality... They feel like next gen of board game reviews compared to other reviewers. Just subscribed! I hope You will get a lot if subs and views soon! Gj)
This is the most beautiful video. Your broll is just so good. Love all your words. This is top tier enjoyment. I loved your picks! It included 2 games that have become some of my all time favorite games. How do you get such smooth shots? Do you slow down the footage? Or are you literally filming that smooth and slow?
dude thanks Sam! You're the best! If i had to guess....i bet root and tapestry were the two for you huh?! It's a little bit of both! Moreso slowing down 120 fps footage, adding warp stabilizer, and also trying to move as steady as i can handheld; for some of the clips at 24 fps i try to keep them short and with minimal movement as well
@@TimChuon you got that on the mark! I haven’t tried the other pics. But I plan too! Ahh that helps ! It just looks so nice. Also congrats on being engaged :)
I played Root for 400+ hours now online I also have the KS and I printed and painted 3D figures for it (I know I know the meeples were cute too). These are all interesting suggestions to check out thank you very much.
I played so few games in 2020. I miss my game days of Inis or Battlestar Galactica. I miss hosting meetups in my community and teaching Azul, Skull or Deep Sea Adventure. But, in all seriousness, my banking highlight of 2020 was Spot It! I played it a bunch of times with my five year old daughter and my two year old son would watch and "play" too. Basically, we just have him a card and let him watch. Until, on the week he turned three, it just clicked and he started playing it properly, challenging my daughter for points. It's not the new hotness, or the latest Kickstarter million dollar campaign, but it has become very special to me. PS: Banff? Are you based in Canada? I'm in the Vancouver area.
Ah i can relate with the lack of game time for sure Denis! I really have been missing out on some of those aweseome titles-hoping to get my hands on Azul soon! That memory with your kids-i bet it was such a remarkable feeling; i already get so excited when i see people that I teach just "click," but to see your own kids' eyes light up and enjoy your hobby as well-ahh! That's awesome. I don't have any kids of my own yet, but my little niece certainly plays spot it the same way! Ah unfortunately I'm not! It's such a beautiful area though but i'm based in california!
Great list, and nice retrospective of your amazing work over the year! I've only tried Tapestry so far, but keen to try the rest, especially Lords of Hellas!
Please gave a new game called Mosaic a try for a future video. The game recently started selling at Barnes and Noble and Amazon and was designed by me. Its FUN.
Love Lords of Hellas! Variable win conditions is one of my favorite mechanics. Hmm favorite game I played in 2020 is tough... either Mysthea or On Mars.
YES! I surprisingly didn’t hear too much about LOH on my end but it definitely was a hit for us! Ohhh I definitely want to try out on mars but it’s quite intimidating!
My top 5 of 2020 and not in a particular order... Dune Imperium - Tiny Epic Galaxies Blast Off! - Splendor Marvel - Underwater Cities - Chronicles of Crime 1400
wow these are huge titles! i see lots of excitement around dune but i'm wondering if it's worth the purchase! I also have a few tiny epic series to dive into but haven't gotten into those yet-thanks for the awesome list
Great list and really well presented. Just some feedback. Maybe put the name of the game on the screen while you're talking about it as its a little difficult to hear you pronounce it...♥️
Thank you so much Wendy! I really appreciate the feedback-or else i wouldn't know what to fix! I'll definitely incorporate those titles going forward; thank you!
thank you so much! it always so gratifying to hear all the appreciation; it goes a long way, thank you! i also just subscribed to yours as well and binged through a lot of them! your bite-sized videos are so entertaining
Lords of Hellas is such a good game! It's been a while I've played it, but absolutely would again in a heartbeat. I'll also have to give Here to Slay a try. (Also, we can totally help you out with those missing Tapestry pieces!)
REALLY?! I surprisingly haven't heard too many others talk about playing it, so i'm glad you found it entertaining as well! Here to slay is really worth a shot-much lighter, but surprisingly engaging and fun! You guys are seriously the best!! Thank you!
Ah I see! I only had cuts for this video though and i think one camera click sound effect haha the rest were all past b roll from older videos that I’ve done for cinematic showcases
