I just love my Nabla skin glazings! I’m on the fair side, and i have a couple that are my go-tos when I’m getting ready quick, and want to look put together.
Ooohh adding the cuties to my list of products to look for a deal on - there are definitely some color stories that I don’t have in my collection but I could get some use out of especially in combination with what I have
Hi Maaike truthfully I haven't tried anything from them yet. I only really use cream cheek products (apart from a few powder highlighters and I have enough of those at the moment, plus I never use bronzer), the complexion products are far too yellow for me and I've never loved the colour story of any of the palettes I've seen. It's a brand I only encountered after watching videos from yourself, so it's not as well known as other brands. I think it's available online here in the UK, but it's not on counter to see the shades in person - so that's always a risk tbh. I don't buy masses of makeup and try to buy things I know I'll use and love, so this hasn't so far been a brand I've been desperate to try. If they release a palette with a colour story that really appeals to me, then that would probably be when I invest in it. This was really interesting though, to see what the items are that might work for me. I know Italy makes some of the best makeup in the world and many of the items we use from brands are made there, but the only actual Italian brand I have tried is Pupa. They do have some great items and I used their mascaras a long time ago, but the palettes (however cute the packaging) tend to be for a deeper skin than I have. It's been a bit hit and miss when I tried them previously. I am far from the dark hair, brown eyes and golden skin of the target audience lol, so they don't really cater well to the really pale/cool toned skin I have. All in all it's a brand I have on my radar to try if I see something I think I'll love, but isn't on my actual wishlist of current items. Best wishes.
I really love nabla! I have a lot of things from them, and the only things I didn't really get along with were the concealer, the secret palette and the shade of Skin realist I got- I agree, the shade range is too yellow, and i am normally a light shade in everything, and that shade was way too dark for me. I have the soul blooming and I really like it, the shimmer formula is a bit outdated in the way that it is a very subtle metallic, but they are really good for workdays when i just want a basic easy look. The mattes are really really good, super buildable and blendable and you can get really glam looks, I also like the duochromes. The shade honey drip is meh, very hard to work with and it changes the colour of everything you put underneath to something more orange (at least on my face). The dreamy 2 I love the colour story of, I get really witchy looks with it and I always get compliments when I wear it. The shimmers are very sparkly and the toppers are a bit granular in texture, but i like them to add a bit of a twinkle. Like you, I just LOVE the cutie palettes and the skin glazing and bronzing. I actually really like metropolitan (very shiny, reminds me of the finish of a celestial shade or a glamshop sparkle, but I need glitter glue on my lid) and wild berry (the dark mattes are fantastic). Their vicious mascara is my favourite mascara, and I love the cupid's arrow liners. I have one of the bullet lipsticks you mentioned, and the undertone is just top notch, but I see how they can be dry on some people. They had a more creamy bullet lipstick formula, and they discontinued it, which is sad. I really hope they revamp their shade range and that they do more single eyeshadows or a big eyeshadow palette that isn't neutral with a pop of colour and that has the same quality as the cutie palettes
I am a huge fan of Nabla’s Skin Realist, it’s probably my favourite for the summer - lightweight, stays all day for me even in the heat, looks beautifully skin-like which is what I’m looking for in foundations these days being in my early 30s. But I do agree that the lightest shade is not light enough, it is just right for me in the summer but I don’t think I would be able to pull it off in the wintertime. I like a lot of their products, mostly eyeshadow palettes although not all of them, but I think that their Skin Glazing highlighter in the shade Ozone is my absolute favourite. I really need to try their bronzer and blush though ☺️
I agree on most parts! I think I never heard anyone saying anything bad about the skin glazing/bronzing line and I couldn't think of anything bad to say about it myself! Stunning cream to powder formula and not too expensive. I have that brush too and it's great, always using it with the Nabla blushes, also using their eye brushes all the time too. ❤100% agree on the subject of concealers, foundation etc. I find that with a lot of Italian brands, they just love creating warm foundation products for the "Mediterranean" skin tones, which really makes it hard for me since I'm a fair to light, neutral olive. 😂 When it comes to eyeshadows, I love Nabla's color schemes and their mattes, find them quite consistent in terms of quality with some occasional oscillations, for example, Poison Garden palette has two terrible blue shadows but with their shimmers, if you have all the palettes you can see the progress and change of quality. Older palettes like Secret, Dreamy, Poison Garden mostly have a satiny or thick silicony classic shimmers with one or two more fun shimmers. They change the shimmers with the introduction of Cuties and Dreamy 2, I love the shimmers in Dreamy 2. I don't own the latest two large palettes. I've heard good stuff about their lip liners, I think I'll pick that up first chance I get.
@@FloatinginDreams Agree, it is. The mattes could be too warm for your liking as well. First dreamy has a nice selection of mattes with different undertones, not necessarily cool tones but it's a nice selection, one cappuccino matte, one peachy, mauve, one more raspberry... but the shimmers are kinda classic there.
Hi Maaike! Great video! I have most of the Nabla palettes, including all of the Cuties. My favorites are the Coral and the Platinum. I love the cheek products, but I rarely use bronzer. I’ve never had any interest in the base products. Like you, I found them to be too yellow. I love the brand as a whole … just not everything they make. 😁
I only own the Cutie palettes, the big palettes, some singles blushes and 3 skin glazes so I can only offer my top 3: 1 Cutie palettes, 2 skin glazes and 3 the big palettes.
Quite similar to mine ranking. The big palettes just don't do it for me though..i like the ones I have but I don't find the color stories that inviting.
Oooh. Good one. I don't really stick to just one. But the Glossier Stretch concealer is a favorite, but I do use it over a peach toned corrector (my fave one for that has been discontinued). For a more matte version I love the Nars Soft Matte creamy concealer. A more drugstore option I love is the Make Up Revolution Conceal & Define in C3. For a very sheer coverage I love the Essence 16hr Stay All Day but it only comes in 2 shades. Those would be my top picks, but I also love the Kiko Skin Tone concealer and I am in the midst of trying out some K-beauty picks and I love those as well. I am not too picky when it comes to concealer.
Yes! I have been doing one every month since February and the videos should all be compiled in a playlist too. I hope to keep doing them once a month until I run out of brands to talk about.
I love Nabla, but the Dreamy 2 palette was not what I expected. The glittery topper shades are disappointing, they are pretty shades but the consistency is a no 🥴 The color story was what made me buy it. I used it maybe 5 times since I bought it in 2020.
That makes me so sad! I have that palette and I love it. But the toppers feel a bit like sand??? idk how to explain it. It doesn't bother me, but they have definitely improved the topper formula since that palette. I also bought it for the fall, witchy vibes
