@@cenarts6684 pull from school, volunteering, perhaps you've had to care for younger siblings/older adults, anything else you may have experience with. i have a feeling it might be hard to get into costco without any prior work experience, but it never hurts to try!

How long is the seasonal job going to last?

M Hi. Did you applied thru website? How long did it take to receive a call? I know a current staff who told me that I should apply said that after I submit my application go to her and she will take me to her manager. Should I wait until they call me or go to her so that she can take me to her manager? I’m in two minds.

M better tell her you already applied, and send her your resume.

@@sukeysu3457 she made me speak to her manager and he said they already did hired quite a lot and the next hiring will take place in March April

Thank you in particular. I did what you said and memorized the mission statement, and when I mentioned that my personal views aligned with the Costco mission statement, the manager interviewing me asked me if I knew it. I studied and memorized it because of your comment, and nailed it, reciting it perfectly word for word. She said I was the only person EVER who had actually known the mission statement, and that most of the employees at the store probably didn’t even know it. You may have singlehandedly gotten me the job (although I may not be giving myself enough credit, because I was already on the third interview). But thank you so much anyway!!!!

@@josemartineztorres9794 thanks! They asked if I've ever had a disagreement with a coworker and how I resolved it, how I dealt with a teammate that wouldn't cooperate, why I wanted to be a part of the Costco team, and if I had any questions. Hope this helps! You will do awesome. Good luck :)

Did they offer you the second interview during the first one or did they tell you to wait a week or something and call you in for a second interview?

@@Jesse-hd2if they actually called me back that evening and asked me to go back a few days later that week. :) and it wasn’t actually an interview. I was just asked to do a background check and drug test. Then I was given info about the orientation taking place a week later!

how did it go?

Went well, I was out of 30 candidates, I got interview by a woman manager, very nice and down to earth. I was asked a few questions like have you ever had a problem with a co worker and how did you resolve it? And what mistakes have you made at work and how did you fix it. Also very important note, my ex wife works at another location, and I told her about I use to go to the Costco employee parties at the other location and she put and X2 by my name when I told her that. She said it’s not a bad thing, it just means you “know the lingo here” and I told her I knew the other Gm that retired at the other store so it helped me. The other 2 candidates that were there were very young compared to me. I left the interview and was told you will hear back in 5-7 days. Within 3 hours I was called around 8pm at night asking me to come in to another interview the following day with assistant GM. Thanks for the video btw!!!

Prepare for all expected questions. Look up common truck driver interview questions as well. Bullet point out answers and memorise. Will make you much more confident and make the interview much easier.

Jsalcedo23 How was the second compared to the first?

@@phill8725 In my experience, it was a lot easier for me. I got interviewed by a different person but I felt a lot more comfortable so it went pretty well. I got hired really quickly, a few days after my 2nd interview i went in for orientation and literally the next day was my first day. So I've been working for about 2 weeks now

@@jayalexander121 they didn't really ask me much(some coworkers said they got interviewed 3 times so keep that in mind). I spoke with only 1 manager for 10 mins and he basically asked me "why do you want to work here?", and "what kind of hobbies/interests do you have outside of work?" I told him I like producing music and we had a nice chat where he mentioned he had a home studio too. That helped me stand out so definitely was the main reason he hired me besides my past work experience of course.
