Seeing Leffen get 4 stocked twice in a row was very satisfying. Lol

PP the greatest falco ever. Not just because of that jv5, but because his playstyle is so elegant but also calculated at the same. Just like the classical music that was playing.

So at first I was like how could Tubes even do anything? How DO you even respond to PP playing like that? So i analyzed the video for about 10 minutes and realized a few things that I am going to try and apply to my game-play. I'm posting my thoughts because maybe you guys will find this interesting/learn along side me/help me by correcting or pointing out something else. (Disclaimer: no I don't think I could necessarily do better, just trying to learn) -Tube was preemptively using aerials to beat out PP's approaches, PP wasn't as aggressive as it seemed. So remember not to just attempt to throw out moves just because you think they will continue being aggressive. -The last stock PP followed up with 2xSHFF(L) to grab 3 times that i counted. He could have just taken the hits and cc'd or jabbed to stop the grab. Or he could sidestep to grab. It's OK to get hit by lasers. -When faced with platform pressure, Tubes didn't get up attack once that i saw. He could pause for a second before deciding on a get-up option as well. PP was doing a lot of reaction chasing but it wasn't infallible so you can't be scared of using certain options. -Don't DI over platforms after 40%, or you will continue to get comboed... -Falco's vertical jump speed is ridiculous so remember you are not safe if recovering high . He could have attempted an early air-dodge toward the stage which would have saved him or an early knee. If you get PEWPEWd just wait for the jump or falling low to rising uair is another mix-up. -The few times he DD'd was almost always the same patten: 2x DD >> aggressive option. It was rather straightforward. He could have mixed it up with either a shield option or extended DD. Honestly this entire match boiled down to disadvantaged decisions gone bad and about 8-9 neutral wins. Seriously, I only counted 8-9 neutral exchanges the entire game. Most in the last 2 stocks. So a sum up what I took from this. Don't throw just throw out moves, remember jab and cc are your friend, some mix-ups can be scary but will be the best option. Tomahawk is also your friend. When in disadvantaged state, don't get frustrated, wait for your opening. Hopefully this wasn't incredibly off ;) TL;DR Spot-dodge + Jab = more success?
