I sometimes wonder if you guys listen to my thoughts and create videos based on what I am struggling with or currently worrying about. Even if you’re not I very much appreciate it. Great advice thank you! ☺️
Adam/ Ashley...I am wondering if I can train glutes 3 x per week without overtraining? I gave my whole body a rest per Adam's direction... and my glutes need to catch up. I am excited to train as I have a gym now! (Only open 2 weeks this whole year) I see many more options now with equipment.
Maybe reduce the weight? I had to do that and it really helped me squeeze my glute at the top of the kickback. I've noticed that my hamstrings take over, only if I'm lifting more than I can handle at the time. Hope this is helpful for you!
Progressive overload can be accomplished by a variety of modalities, not just adding weight. Time under tension and slowing down the rep is another way to progress the movement. When it starts to be too easy, you can of course increase the weight! I think he was trying to make the point that you shouldn't try to do these movements with heavy weight if you are sacrificing form/the squeeze. You can still add weight, just start from a place of total control/great form. Hope that helps! :)
