In this video, I share 5 items that I have found to be essential to being able to work remotely while out in my R-Pod 179. While most of these items are not expensive they have helped me be productive while out on the road.

Great video! My wife and I moved from the Detroit area to southern Oregon, and I work 100% remote now. We're picking up our R-Pod tomorrow and are super excited! We've tent camped at most of the major parks in Michigan, and now it's time for some Oregon sites! I've worked from AirBnBs, a tent, my car, and an RV in the 3 months we were looking for a house. I thought Wi-Fi was a must, but I found myself using my cell data a lot since campsite Internet can be very unreliable, especially in the afternoon. I highly recommend a Bluetooth headset as well, for conference and (in my case) training and support calls. BTW, Pretty Lake State Forest Campground in McMillan Township is one of the best spots we found in the UP. Clean, quiet, and chipmunks beg you for food.

John, thank you for all these videos--practical and helpful. The 179 really is a great layout. I wish they insulated it a little better for deep three season use. Lance does do that, for example, but they do not have this layout...always a compromise. Thanks again.

Totally agree, not all that insulated. Found it out this summer for sure. Deep cold would be tough even with my space heater. Thanks for watching!
